Flora Farms was the most highly recommended spot in Cabo from nearly everyone we talked to before the trip, and it's easy to see why. Fair warning on the drive: it's back in San José del Cabo, close to Tamarindos actually, and the access road going up into the hills is rough -- undeveloped, plenty of potholes, a bit of an adventure just getting there. But once you arrive, it's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Totally worth it. We had lunch outdoors -- nearly all the seating is open-air, surrounded by the actual working farm. I had a Paloma and a mango margarita (mangos from the farm), both excellent. My partner had a lavender martini. She ordered the quiche and salad and I got a pizza. Both were decadent. After eating, we walked the property, which is just beautiful and worth the time on its own. While we waited for our ride afterward, we sat at the bar and kept the drinks going -- I had a mezcal, and my partner had ano lavender martini made with fresh lavender straight from the farm, with an actual lavender bloom frozen into one of the ice cubes. Such a nice, thoughtful touch. This is a must if you're in Cabo -- just budget extra time for the drive and enjoy the ride, because the destination makes up for it completely. read more

Flora Farms is such a beautiful, rustic escape with lush gardens, fruit trees, and colorful flowers throughout the property. The atmosphere is charming and relaxing, making the experience feel like a true farm-to-table getaway. Service was good. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were delicious, and the Chicken Sandwich was tender and flavorful. The fresh salad served alongside was a perfect complement. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly dampened when my husband found a piece of hair on his plate. While the food and setting were enjoyable, this was disappointing and something that should have been caught before the dish was served. I wanted to update my review of Flora Farms because unfortunately, my experience this July was very different from my visit last year. This place has definitely gone downhill. We had reservations when we arrived, but they couldn't find our reservation and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for a table. It was also extremely hot and humid. I understand that Flora Farms is an outdoor experience, and they did have fans and little misters spraying water, but unfortunately, they didn't do much. The fans were very loud and didn't really provide much relief. There were also quite a few flies and bugs around the tables. They had things on the tables to help with the flies, but they didn't seem to be very effective. Unfortunately, our server was also a major disappointment. He barely checked on us, and when it was time to pay, we waited over 25 minutes just to get our check. That really shouldn't happen, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. The food was also a disappointment compared to my previous visit. The beet salad recipe had changed, and I didn't find it nearly as flavorful as it was last year. I understand that the menu changes based on seasonal produce, but I ordered a chicken curry salad and honestly did not enjoy it. The bread was extremely thick, and overall, the meal just wasn't very good. We also got the cinnamon roll it wasn't soft at all, it was very chewy and tough inside. Har I know Flora Farms is known for its beautiful setting and farm-to-table concept, and I really wanted to love it again. Unfortunately, this visit left me disappointed from the service to the food to the overall comfort of the experience. I probably won't be returning. We saw a coffee / wine shop, a soap store, and a boutique clothing store. It was a nice way to look around before our dinner reservation. The restaurant itself is outdoors and so quaint! Service was very friendly and attentive. For drinks, we ordered the farm citrus 4/5 and spicy Paloma 4.5/5. Both tasted refreshing and delicious! For food, we ordered the tri colored Caesar salad 5/5, bresaola charcuterie 4/5, and soppressata pizza 5/5. The salad was soo yummy and perfectly seasoned. The pizza was also delicious and had generous toppings of soppressata and habanero honey. This was the perfect restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Just love this place. A beautiful grounds complete with great farm experience in a higher level. The short farm tour was a bliss. We learned the history of the farm and the dwellings inside. There's a nice acreage where you can do your wedding photos or just get married and they have cut hole and flower arches and all the instagrammy things to show off to your friends that you know where to go to impress. I'm so glad we were able to experience this delicious restaurant and beautiful property. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest staff. The farm is vast and beautiful with several experiences and buildings including vegetable stands, gifts, boutique shopping, ice cream cart, craft area, cooking classes etc. We were sat under the canopy area, just far enough from the live band to enjoy conversations but close enough to hear the music in the background. They were incredible by the way. All hits from various decades. There was also a nice Happy Anniversary sign waiting for us at the table. We had several staff members attending to our table and they were all excellent. Very friendly, kind. Very attentive and never left us waiting for service. We brought our own wine so there was a fairly steep corkage fee. Just keep That in mind if you want to bring your favorite wine. For the table we ordered the burrata which tasted so fresh and bright. Two at the table ordered the woodfired sea-bass which included cauliflower, capers, lemon and aioli. My husband and friend said it was absolutely the best seabass they had ever eaten. I ordered a vegetarian pasta which was amazing. Full of flavor. A bit spicy which I enjoy. After dinner we strolled the property to take in the beautiful sites. While vacationing in Los Cabos we decided to do a cooking class at Flora Farms as our "excursion". It was the best possible decision we could have made. We took an Uber in (kinda bumpy/wild entrance through the mountains) but then you arrive to this lush farm. We had our cooking lesson in the mango grove and were welcomed with cold beverages. We learned all about making tamales and made our own before a short farm tour and cocktail. It's a beautiful property and it was fun learning the history. We returned to make salsa and guacamole and enjoy a lunch with everything we made. We even were able to take leftovers back with us. Came here for my anniversary dinner. It was certainly good, but I am not sure I would come here again. The place is huge and very pretty, reminding me of plenty of restaurants where I could dine in my native California. The menu is Italian heavy, to where we split a very tasty pizza and both had pasta for dinner. It just wasn't that I go to Mexico to eat. If you want a break from Mexican food, want to pay stateside prices and eat good food in a pretty venue, go here. I have nothing bad to say about it. This was our fourth visit to Flora Farms, and it continues to be at the top of our list every time we come to Cabo. This trip, we decided to take the tour before dinner. Elvis, our guide, was incredible--you can tell he genuinely loves his job and the whole Flora Farms community. What we learned on the tour is that Flora Farms is so much more than a farm and a farm-to-table restaurant with a few shops. There are private residences on the property, a spa (yes--manis, pedis, facials, and massages), a spot where you can make your own perfume, and even dog adoption events (see photos!). It's an entire ecosystem. For dinner, we shared the chopped farm salad and the potato & rosemary pizza. The salad wasn't as colorful as what you might expect in the States, but it was really tasty. And the pizza--outstanding, as always. They offer so many interesting, non-traditional pizzas, and we've never had a bad one. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a flan for dessert--after we had already ordered the pistachio cheesecake and the mango panna cotta. Calories don't count on your birthday! The flan and cheesecake were delicious; the panna cotta was a bit bland. By the time we left, the band was playing and the whole place was buzzing. Flora Farms has such a fun, relaxed vibe. Hands down one of my favorite experiences in Cabo. It's about a 40 minute ride from the Los Cabos side that we were staying at, but worth the venture. We opted for the lunch cooking class. This includes a tour of the grounds, 3 course lunch, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and one cocktail, and cooking instruction. The course we took was the salsa, guac and tortilla class. Our guide and chef were very lively and we had a fun group. The carrot cocktail was imaginative and refreshing. We were guided through the roasting process of the ingredients used for the salsa and guac. We made fresh tortillas and at the end had a lovely fish taco lunch with keylime pie. I'm currently on a vacation in Cabo and we heard about this great farm to table restaurant near the resort and decided to check it out. First the atmosphere was amazing, from the different little shops and stores around the farms to the turtle pond and mango groves, the res plenty of things to keep you occupied while waiting or just if you want to explore. The appetizers were absolutely amazing and probably my favorite part. Definitely recommend the burrata. The pesto bucatini was also splendid and I tried some of my girlfriend's Lobster tagliatelle which was also outstanding. Security refused to let our Uber pick us up where we were originally dropped off, forcing our family with a baby and stroller to walk to the end of the property and carry the stroller down several sets of steps. I asked for a simple exception because there was no ramp, but they showed absolutely no empathy or flexibility. I definitely recommend making a reservation well in advance of your arrival. We tried to go last year and they were completely booked. Also give yourself time to get a cocktail at the bar and explore the gardens and shops. We shopped in the amazing shops first then we took a tour of the grounds and it was fantastic and finally we sat at the bar and had a cocktail waiting for our dinner reservation to arrive. For dinner we ordered an arugula pizza which was really delicious and we shared a summer beet salad and a bottle of wine. For dessert we shared the best flan that I have ever had. It was plenty of food for the three of us and everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
