Flora Field Kitchen is undeniably stunning. The property is sprawling yet intimate, with beautiful lighting that creates an incredible atmosphere once the sun goes down. The live music was fantastic and added so much to the overall vibe. From a setting standpoint, it's hard to beat. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the ambiance. The menu was extremely limited and incredibly overpriced. There were no kids' options at all, which was surprising given that they have such a great activity area clearly geared toward families. We ended up ordering a $40 USD pizza for our 6-year-old -- which feels absurd. I make pizza at home on our Ooni that's just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the cost. It's hard to justify those prices, especially without a smaller or kid-friendly option available. The least expensive glass of wine was $32 USD, which felt excessive. We also happened to visit during a seasonal menu rotation that heavily featured tomatoes, capers, and pork -- three ingredients my wife (whose birthday we were celebrating) doesn't care for. Unfortunately, they don't publish their menu in advance, so we didn't know this until we arrived. To their credit, our server recognized we weren't thrilled and brought over a manager who was very kind and professional. He offered to buy my wife a glass of wine and send over ice cream for our son. However, our son has a nut allergy, and we were told that every flavor made onsite could be cross-contaminated with nuts -- so he wasn't able to enjoy that gesture either. It's disappointing because this is a place that appears to cater to families, yet it feels both difficult and very expensive to bring children here. Flora Farms has been on my bucket list for years, and I'm so happy I finally got to visit during our trip in April! This place absolutely lived up to the hype from the beautiful farm-to-table concept to the exceptional service and food, everything was 5 stars across the board. The ambience is stunning, lush greenery, open-air dining, and such a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere. The entire farm is gorgeous, and I love that everything is truly farm-to-table. It was a bit humid when we visited, so walking around the property was a little uncomfortable, but we still enjoyed exploring and taking in all the beautiful details. Every dish was incredible. The beet salad was my absolute favorite, so fresh, vibrant, and flavorful that I ordered it both times we visited! We also loved the fresh beet juice, orange juice, french toast, chicken fingers, the pizza, chicken sandwich, and pasta, everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. I also have to mention how pretty the food is plated, the use of fresh flowers on the dishes adds such a lovely touch and makes the presentation feel extra special. This place is very instagram vibes also. Overall, Flora Farms is a must-visit. The food, the service, and the setting all make for an unforgettable experience. Let me start by saying I love Flora Farms, it so beautiful, and nice to visit. I wish I could recommend the restaurant, but sadly it's become a crazy expensive, touristy machine. I've been coming here for years, and while in the past it was pricey for Mexico, this year was shocking with the price increases. Drinks that were $14, are now $20+, their pizza, which is good but not large, went from $20, to now $40! Those are just a couple examples. If you want to go for the fried chicken night, which used to be great, but you get two small pieces of soggy chicken, and some sides for $85! The food is not up to par like it used to be, and I felt rushed while in the restaurant. Beware, they will ask you what type of bread you want, and they will try to upsell you focaccia which is $20, while the house bread is free, and delicious. My husband and I ordered a couple appetizers, one entrée to share, and I had one cocktail. Our bill was $200, and we didn't order the most expensive things on the menu. We also went with a group of people for the fried chicken, and everyone that had it was disappointed. If you really want to come and experience the Farm, maybe stick to brunch. They do have an amazing bloody Mary. Also something to keep in mind if you come with children, they do not offer a kids menu. I'm not sure anyone wants to spend $40 on a cheese pizza for their kids. For dinner I would opt for Acré, or Ballena, which are both next to Flora, and give a better experience for dinner. read more

Beautiful location and great appetizers. The one star is because I ordered the small pork chop. The waiter came back to the table to tell me they didn't have a whole pork chop but slices. I should've known better and changed my order but it was highly recommend. When my plate arrived it looked like whatever had been left on others plates. I had two bites of meat and the rest was fat, gristle and bones. Any waiter would've taken one look at my plate and known there was a problem and removed that from the bill. Not this place. I should've said something but I don't know what the etiquette is in this country so I remained silent. Sadly this dish was $100!!! Don't fall for the hype of the pork chops. read more

Almost every time I told someone I was visiting Los Cabos, I got the same response: "you're going to Flora's Farm, right??" Thankfully, the answer was yes! We debated visiting for lunch or dinner and when weeknight dinner reservations were already pretty full when we looked a week before our trip, we opted for a 12:30PM reservation. I'm sure it's cozy and romantic in the evening, but I'm personally glad we visited during the day. It was perfect for checking out the shops and exploring the grounds! Seated outside, our table was under plenty of coverings and was breezy. I hardly glanced at the drink menu and ordered the farmrita since I had heard it was their signature. It's basically fresh carrot juice, your choice of tequila or mezcal, and lime juice. It came with crushed red pepper sprinkled on top and was so delicious. For 2, we shared the seasonal salad, seared baja tuna sandwich with fries, and the chicken sausage and broccoli pizza. The complimentary bread basket and butter was a strong start, it was so crusty and fluffy and chewy. I knew we were in for a good meal. Every bite was so fresh and delicious, but the baja tuna sandwich was definitely the best bite of the meal. The service was exceptional, the vibes were so relaxing, and the live music was the cherry on top. FYI - I'm from the city mindset (especially when travelling) that if my destination is less than 3 miles away, I'll walk. Great place for brunch with beautiful views of the gardens and grounds. Highly recommend ordering a juice with your meal, they are so fresh and delicious. For brunch I had the egg sandwich, which was very tasty and green heavy with the spinach. The bread was also awesome. The potatoes cooked perfectly. We got a French toast to share and that hunk of bread was so amazing, I'm still thinking about it. Definitely a must try if you like French toast and sweets, but it's maybe a little too rich for a meal. After your meal, there are plenty of shops to walk into. We had dinner at Flora's Field Kitchen last night and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. One member of our group is sober and specifically ordered a mocktail. He was served the actual alcoholic version of the drink and was told twice that it was non-alcoholic. After taking a sip, he immediately realized it contained alcohol and had to insist multiple times before the staff finally acknowledged the mistake. They eventually brought the correct mocktail and told us we were right, but there was barely an apology, and nothing was taken off the bill, not even the drink that was made incorrectly. Honest mistakes happen, but serving alcohol to someone who ordered a mocktail is a serious error, and the lack of accountability or real concern afterward made the situation feel even worse. It left us feeling really disappointed in what should have been a great dining experience. read more

We just love Flora. It's always a spot we visit when we come to town. The hibiscus margaritas and pork chop are the best things on the item and I don't stray from it! The live music makes a wonderful ambiance and now that I have a daughter it's so wonderful they added a playground for kids. My husband got the pasta and it was pretty bland we wouldn't order again. Very pretty farm to table restaurant. There are nice areas for photos including a small pond with fish, geese, and turtles around. There's also a coffee/wine bar, perfumery, and a couple of shops for perusing before or after your meal. We were expecting a sprawling farm, but unfortunately they only allow access to a small area of the farm. We stopped by on the way to the airport for their brunch, which is buffet style, and is your typical California-style breakfast food. Eggs, sausage, ham, crispy potatoes, assortment of breads, oatmeal. They also bring you a fruit platter at the start. Service was great. Somehow someone was always at the table when we needed them. Plates were quickly cleared. Flora's Field Kitchen is the restaurant inside of Flora Farms which is located right in the heart of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. It's a true farm to table restaurant where the ingredients are grown on the farm. It also has a wood fire oven for Neapolitan style pizza. It's a must visit if you are visiting Los Cabos. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The best time to visit Flora's Field Kitchen is in the evening, just when the sun begins to set. The open air restaurant pulls in nature. It's open and earthy, and as the sun sets, strings of lights provide warm, mood lighting. It's beautiful, majestic, and reminded me of fireflies lighting a garden. 1 Star. Service - Excellent. Our server was great. He took time to explain the concept of the restaurant and was patient as we looked over the menu. Significant note: Our party of 4 sat on a table with a small, narrow stool on the end. Our server made great use of this stool, placing items on there (water jug, bread basket) so our table had enough space for our dishes. 1 Star. Food - Our meal began with a vegetable shooter. I wasn't sure what was in it (it was orange), but it didn't matter because it was cool, smooth, and was a great palette cleanser. The food is farm to table - they grow most of the vegetables on site. We started with roast corn ravioli, which is perhaps some of the sweetest corn I've ever tasted. We paired this with a shaved pork appetizer (sorry I forgot the name) that laid underneath fresh watercress and arugula with a vinaigrette dressing. The result was a tender, tart bite that tasted as fresh as its ingredients. For our mains we choose the margherita and supprosetta pizza. If you would have told me I was in Mexico and not Northern Italy I wouldn't have believed you. If you're a fan of Neapolitan pizza, this is your place. We ended with a pappardelle with a pork ragu. The pappardelle was the star. The pasta was a perfect pair with my pizza. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's a tourist trap. But it's a fantastic trap that I don't mind getting stuck in. Flora Farms is my happy place. I mean, it is named "Flora's", so it's really my farm isn't it? ;) Sure, I was a little biased to love this place, but I was also had high expectations for it, which it met. Sure, this place was designed and built by Americans and attracts tourists. Not, it's not an authentic Mexican experience. But this is the prime example of fact that something can be touristy but also be good and worth visiting. The grounds are beautiful, the fruits and vegetables of the highest quality that you'll find anywhere, and the execution of those ingredients at their restaurant is perfect. On our first visit, we went on the farm tour then had lunch. The tour is free (you can pre-book on the website) but is pretty short and since you are allowed to roam the grounds on your own, don't feel too disappointed if a tour doesn't line up with your timing. ** lunch** My bf had been trying to convince me for years that he could make me like gazpacho and I made the same disgusted face every time that he said it. Well, the gazpacho at Flora's farm made me a convert. Like wow. I don't know anyone that would not like that. We had told them that we'd be splitting and they went ahead and served it to us in two bowls (nice touch!). The fried chicken sandwich was one of the best that I've had (and I've had a lot), mostly attributable to the quality of the chicken itself. While there are some things that are a little over the top, like their expensive shops that feature exclusive collaborations with designers like James Perse, or the "application" and "approval" process you need to go through to be able to tour the residences (they seriously ask the value of your properties, what are you collect, and the types of credit cards you have), you can simply ignore those parts and just enjoy the grounds (free to walk around) and food (expensive for Mexico, but not expensive for the quality). ** breakfast ** On our last day, I wanted to visit Flora's again (for a fourth time). This time we had breakfast, which I believe used to be a buffet but is now a la carte (much better). I'm so glad that we did this because the quality of the ingredients made what might normally be a boring order really outstanding. Just a plate of eggs, bacon, and potatoes was amazing. ** wedding ** I also had the opportunity to attend a wedding at Flora's. While the presentation was as beautiful as one would expect, the food was unfortunately not the same quality as it was in the restaurant. Making the trip to Flora Farms is a must when you're in Cabo. Whether you're staying in San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas, you need to check this place out. Reservations are a must and you can come check out the property before your lunch/dinner reservation. In addition to a farm tour you can take, there are overpriced shops (clothing, jewelry, wine bar) you can visit before dining. It's interesting how there's a little community nestled in this pocket of Cabo. Everything about Flora Farm is fresh. Farm-to-table is what they preach and you can taste it in every dish that you have. For starters, we got the "walk through the garden" salad along with the chilled corn soup and house made burrata. Of the 3, the chilled corn soup was terrific. It was so refreshing on a hot and humid day. When it first came out, we were a little confused but they essentially serve it table side by pouring the soup at your table. The "walk through the garden" salad was essentially an overpriced combination of assorted veggies. We decided to share a pizza and got the arugula pizza. The crust was great - super doughy and chewy. I would highly recommend getting the corn soup and whichever pizza you like. Both are great!! For a dining experience on your vacation to Cabo, a trip to Flora Farm is a must. To truly have an appreciation for how fresh the ingredients are, I'd highly suggest doing a farm tour before heading to the restaurant. read more

A must visit when you're in Cabo. This was out of the way for our stay in Can San Lucas, and even during our day trip to San Jose del Cabo, but so worth the extra trek! The place is so beautiful and they really lean into the farm/garden/little market feel. The place was very busy during our Sunday brunch but we made reservations and were even able to get seated early. They asked us what we were celebrating and had an anniversary panel ready to set on our table. The amuse buche they bring out is a little garden salad with vegetables from the farm, which is a great touch. They brought us mimosas at the end of our meal for our anniversary as well. Food: -Burrata board: you have to get this!! You might think a charcuterie board is kind of boring to order, but the burrata is so fresh and rich, and the coppa (pork shoulder) is amazing. But honestly, the highlight of this board is their mango jam!! It was so phenomenal we tried to buy jars of it from their market but unfortunately we couldn't because they're not very travel-friendly -Pizza Fresca: good if you want a mild-flavored pizza. The dough is cooked so well that we didn't mind just bread taste with light ricotta cheese. But we were hoping for more of the lemon to come through and the pizza left more to be desired -Drinks: I was really looking forward to the farmarita (carrot margarita) but it was really bland. Don't get it. Their farm julep (watermelon rum) and farmtini (hibiscus vodka) are tasty though. Transportation: we didn't have any issues calling an Uber to Flora Farms but could not get a driver to accept our ride on the way back to town. We eventually had the valet at Flora Farms get us a taxi (their website says they partner with a taxi company) and was told it would be 400 pesos. We were greeted by a van/what looked like an independent taxi driver who looked a little confused when we confirmed the price with him, so maybe he was initially thinking something lower and I totally overpaid. I understand why a lot of "tourists" like this place- it's a cool, unique spot with a hip vibe; however, you're in Mexico not eating authentic Mexican, and you're getting hit with NYC prices, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. For example, all pizzas are $22++, add on tax (16%) + service/tip (15%) and you're almost at $30 for a Neapolitan-style pizza that isn't even that good--at least not our margarita... the burrata cena and ceviche were good, the cannelloni was just alright. drinks: farmarita was pretty good, farm julep was mehhh. Similar to The Cape Thompson, it's cool to check out once but doesn't really have much repeat value to me. Call me old fashioned but I go to Cabo to hit up places like WA Pedregal, and to dine at authentic/affordable Mexican spots in dtown Cabo San Lucas or dtown San Jose del Cabo--not tourist trap, eye candy, vegas vibe, money grab spots like The Cape and Flora's Field Kitchen. **The bill (from a US perspective) can be a little confusing bc the line items on the check don't line up to the menu prices (bc they already include the 16% IVA/TAX). So, depending how you look at it, it may seem like you're getting taxed (2x) when you're actually not. Essentially, all the line items (which already include tax) = TOTAL (not sub total)** Also, the roads to get to/from Flora Farms are absolutely HORRENDOUS. Flora Farms is an entire gorgeous farm with multiple small businesses located on its grounds. Everything about this place is cute, beautiful, and straight up lovely! Is it authentic Mexican? No. Does it feel like you're in the US? Yes. Take that as you will, but that should determine whether you want to visit. Plenty of options and picture-esque backgrounds for your insta. The food and drink were both yummy. 10/10 recommend the chilaquiles. They were absolutely delicious. We found that there were many bees that were attracted to our table, we were on a farm after all, so we created a mini plate of veggies to attract them, lol. It worked! At some point a guitarist started playing and singing and it was very romantic. I truly did enjoy my experience here. The service was fantastic, the staff was so friendly, and the food and drinks were yummy. Would I come back? Probably not. Another thing to note is that there were some issues for Ubers to get through. I'm not quite sure why, but there were multiple police officers guarding the entrance to the farm/road to the farm. It's surrounded by random abandoned homes, and empty open land. It's almost like a mirage in the middle of the dessert. You drive on a sandy dirt road for about half a mile before you arrive at the and then all of a sudden you enter a very manicured garden. It's beautiful. The shops are expensive and overpriced. Definitely geared for tourists. Dress code is casual. Lots to see and take pictures of. Beautiful ambiance. We were celebrating our 29th year anniversary and they made a cute little sign for our table. I had the catch of the day which was sea bass with roasted cauliflower. Prepared perfectly with balanced flavors. No need to add salt or pepper. Hubby got the potato rosemary pizza with fried egg, and he loved it. I know it sounds weird but he said it was delicious. This was my favorite meal/experience on our Cabo trip! We had a table of 8-4 couples-we had reserved this over a month in advance (not sure if that was necessary but glad we did). We arrrived early so we walked around the grounds and then the guys went to the bar and the girls did a tour of one of their model homes while waiting for our time. Loved their cute shops! Could have bought several things, their pricing was lower than I expected. But I decided to restrain as I had already done some shopping in Cabo and San Jose. Once seated, I had the hibiscus margarita. It was so flavorful, loved it! I tasted my friend's regular margarita and it was super good too. My husband had an old fashioned and it was one of the best I have had. We first were given a complimentary appetizer, I think it was eggplant or something, it was tasty! We had a delicious pizza with arugula on top as an appetizer for the table, loved it, the crust was super good! My friend and I each had the ravioli special-housemaid goat cheese ravioli with Serrano ham and caramelized onion. It was amazing! Everyone loved their entrees. For dessert we got several Flora's double chocolate cake and Flora's carrot cake. So delicious! The coffee was good too! On the way out I got a Flora Farm's tee shirt and my friend got a banana cream pie to take back to our villa and we ate that for a couple of days. The crust was so tender and flaky and the bananas and cream were heavenly. One day we had it before breakfast! So enjoyed the atmosphere, service and especially the food! One thing to note-we Ubered there but they would not let us Uber out so we had to use a van they had for us but it was ok, it was fun for all 8 of us to be in the same vehicle on the way home. read more

We went here the day after our visit to Acre, and were very disappointed by the very blatant touristy commercialization. Expensive shops, very large dining area and very pushy waiters. Also looks like they were selling timeshares or something because we could see the typical sales rep taking some couples around. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was very tough meat. Rest of the food was also average but possibly had switched off by then because was overall very disappointed. Tried to go for a walk but most of the property is not open for visitors. Overall I had a very poor experience but possibly because I was comparing to Acres which we really liked. read more

Great food and fun spot! We arrived two hours prior to our reservation time. We walked around the shops. They are way overpriced, shockingly so. We played cornhole behind the kitchen - super fun but hot! Then we grabbed a drink at the bar. They run $16 USD for a speciality cocktail. For dinner, we split the burrata, catch of the day (sea bass), and pork pappardelle. All very good! It was our anniversary, so they offered complimentary champagne or dessert. My husband opted for champagne. But I still wanted to try the almond banana cake. It was similar to banana bread with cinnamon ice cream on top. Very good!!! We took Ubers there and back. Ran about $30 each way. But no difficulty calling Uber. We had sedans each way. The bumpy dirt road part is short. No need to arrange speciality transportation IMO. read more

Really enjoyed this place. This restaurant is located inside Flora Farms. Was not a far drive from the airport. Wife and I enjoyed looking at all the gardens and the turtle pond. Service was great. Food was awesome. Great selection of drinks. Everything was very fresh and organic. We had brunch there our first day in Cabo and then breakfast on our way to the airport when leaving. Highly suggest getting the pizza for brunch or dinner. For breakfast, the cornmeal waffles and the French toast were some of the best things we ate while in Cabo. Overall, great place to chill, walk around, and eat. read more

I cannot understand how this place isn't a perfect 5 star. It is a wonderful experience. The entire area is beautiful and hidden away down a dirt road. You will question your choice while driving to it. However, once you pull into the parking lot and walk the grounds, you will be blown away. The shops are pricey, but nice.
