We had our wedding there so these are my sentiments on that. From start to finish, the team went truly above and beyond. Mariana, our day-of planner, was exceptional-- calm & proactive. She anticipated needs before they arose and ensured the entire day flowed seamlessly. Ernesto, the property manager, was equally incredible. He guided us through the wine selections with care and expertise and was hands-on throughout the reception--circulating among guests, refilling glasses, and making sure everyone felt taken care of (perhaps a little too well, in the best way). The execution of the wedding was flawless. Everything we envisioned and described was brought to life exactly as we had hoped--if not better. Dinner was a dream: a long, elegant table set beneath the passion fruit vines, surrounded by the sounds and scents of the farm and garden. The reception under the stars felt intimate and enchanting. Mariana recommended soft lighting along the path to the restrooms so guests could move safely and comfortably--a small detail that speaks volumes about the level of care. This was our first meal in Cabo and certainly won't be the last. There's several farm-to-table restaurants grouped together with Tamarindos (Acre, Flora Farms, etc.), but this one definitely stood out with its peaceful, breathtaking natural landscape. I'd recommend coming for dinner so you can catch golden hour. Also would recommend walking through the grounds before/after your meal - they have a rooftop with views of the city, and you can go down to the gardens as well. Great for pictures. Food/drink recs: - Guava juice: this the best drink I've had in my life. So natural, fruity, refreshing... perfection. - Vongole pasta: one of our favorite dishes of our entire Cabo trip. - Sashimi of the day: forgot what the fish name was, but it was so fresh and tasty. It came with chips that were seasoned to perfection. Soo good. - Catch of the day guajillo - Grilled octopus Cornish hen and cauliflower were okay - don't think I'd get them again. The first time the Cornish hen came out, it was still raw - luckily they cooked it more and brought it out again. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday night. Don't let the drive here scare you! Yea the roads is gravel and feels like you are driving to no where, But trust me it's worth it. Once you get to the restaurant you will be amazed at how beautiful this place is. The layout and ambiance is breath taking. It's farm to table concept and the restaurant is on a farm. You can walk around and check the gorgeous venue. Bar is set outside and you can sit here and enjoy a variety of cocktails. Staff are amazing and super helpful from the minute you walk in. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and that level of attention continued throughout our two hour lunch. The farm to table location is amazing. Beautiful farm and garden view. Service was leisurely at our slow pace. Appetizers were very tasty - eggplant pomodoro and beet salad with yogurt. The flavours of both so fresh! I had the lamb with green mole. The chayote pearls added a nice crunch. My beloved had the suckling pig- declared it moist, tender and delicious! My beloved uses a wheelchair- no walking for him! They were most thoughtful and accommodating in that regard (there is a ramp up to the restaurant but less than ideal) recommending we stay in the bar area for lunch. Which we happily did! We also brought our small dog. High maintenance folks or what? Anyway, they were happy to have him stretch out on the floor. I booked on open table months in advance but then we changed our plans so I needed to cancel (still months in advance) but I could not do it on open table. Beautiful venue with great food. I came here with my friend for dinner and overall had a great experience. We tried the: 1. Coconut ceviche: I'm usually not a fan of coconut, but this was still very good. The fish was fresh and the coconut was not overwhelming. 2. Fettuccine vongole: Delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned. They were out of clams so substituted shrimp, which was also excellent. My favorite savory dish of the dinner. 3. Catch of the day guajillo: Fish was generously sized and tender (I forget exactly what the catch of the day was). However, not particularly memorable and would not get again. 4. Chocolate gelato: Very good and a refreshing way to end the meal. Nice texture and excellent flavor. Service was professional and thoughtful. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and you have a beautiful view of their grounds. My only complaint was the mosquitos, but they had burning sage (rosemary? some sort of plant?) that helped keep them away. Recommend a visit! read more

I had the guava mint margarita and my husband had the pineapple mezcalita. The service and ambiance were top notch. 4 stars because the food was good not phenomenal. We ordered the yellowtail sashimi (catch of the day) and suckling pig (came with a tamarind sauce, blue corn tortillas, mashed sweet potato (def too sweet), and roasted vegetables (also on the sweet side). One of the best dining experiences (emphasis on experience) that I have ever had. They welcome you with a fresh tea with a view of the farm. Then you move over to the dining table where between dishes they serve you seasonal samples of soups etc. You truly feel welcomed and at home. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and tasted phenomenal. The drinks were so delicious, I highly recommend the purple basil margarita that has basil straight from their garden. We booked a cooking class for our family of four. Chef Erwin was incredible! It was just us, we chose our entire menu. We made guacamole, salsa verde, mezcal shrimp, birria and chocolate tamales. Yes, all of it! We looked at Flora Farms...you make one item based on the day of the week you book. We learned so much from Erwin. I can confidently make so many dishes based on the basics he taught us (to seed and cook dry chilis, make an adobo sauce, roast veggies for salsa, & the magic sauce (a chimichurri like starter). Key to know is that Flora Farms is US started, and Acre is Canadian. If you want to support the Mexican community and learn authentic Mexican cuisine-please visit Tamarindos. Tamarindos does not belong in the same conversation as Flora's Farm and Acre who both take the farm to table concept and knock it out of the park. Confusingly the reviews for all three seem to be similar, albeit Tamarindos has fewer reviews, but this is not a 4-5 star place. There is nothing special about any of their food, and you can't really tell that the ingredients are farm to table. The price point is almost as high as the other two, which is confusing. Also, there are a lot of mosquitos here. 3 stars because it's not BAD but given the other options I would pass on this one. JICAMA TORTILLA SHRIMP TACOS (Jicama tortilla w/shrimp, pico de gallo & pineapple) - These were by far the best thing that we had, but were nothing that I didn't feel like I could get at a restaurant in Los Angeles. GRILLED CAESAR SALAD (Tender romaine heart with homemade Caesar dressing topped with roasted squash seeds) - Plated nicely, but there was a bit too much dressing and I found the lettuce to be a bit wilted. PORK SHANK IN GREEN MOLE (Baked pork shank cooked in our homemade green mole sauce) - This was okay, I didn't find it to be particularly flavorful. CATCH OF THE DAY GUAJILLO (Local catch served with guajillo pepper salsa, served atop sautéed vegetables) - The restaurant recommended this one, but honestly I can't remember a thing about it. Google maps makes it look like you drive through a wetlands to get here. Don't worry when the road turns into scary dirt. Keep following the signs to the treasure at the end of the road. Set on a 19-century farm, Los Tamarindos has been here for 10 years. It was relatively early in the Mexican farm to table trend. The dining area has a rustic feel and the farm below offers a nice vista. Yelpers get a margarita gratis with check-in. That's a Spanish word you should learn, it means free! An excellent margarita, with fresh-squeezed lime as it should be. I was impressed with the menu, which is divided into starters, main courses and desserts. Not a huge menu, but it was still difficult to decide. We had shrimp tacos with a jicama tortilla and were wowed. The citrus flavors really made it pop. We also had the pescado del dia, Amberjack - offered in sashimi or carpaccio form - the waiter recommended the sashimi. We could not have been happier with the result, as it was layered with avocado and sprinkled with black sesame seeds. The housemade pasta al pesto was also delicious and came in an ample portion for my gf. I got the lobster special, which was amazing. It came with grilled asparagus and delicious mashed potatoes. The best dish of the day! For dessert, the guava pie with white chocolate sauce was excellent in part because it was not to sweet. Not a cheap meal, especially with wine. But the great wine from Valle de Guadalupe and the entire meal were well worth it. The excellent service made it all the moreso. I'd return. read more

Ambiance to be eating at a beautiful farm to the service (kindest waiters) to the quality of the food. I can still taste the lamb in my mouth like so soft and perfectly seasoned. The vegetables (Best sweet potato and beet I ever had). Everything is just so fresh, natural, healthy. I don't ever want to eat at fake American restaurants again. Mexico really knows how to do real food and you really realize how many restaurants in the US are so fake when you have the real stuff in Mexico. Also, portion size was amazing too. However, a phone call placed to the restaurant and the GM not only sent a neighbor to assist, but he personally came out to ensure we were recovered. That in itself changed my attitude.
