Our food was delish! I love how the calzones are precut. Had to try the Nutella calzone when I saw it on the menu - super good!

Bad service! Misleading menus. Menus and order are different once it's arrives. No help when you call them.

"But how can we cafe notte when it is cafe mattina?" My husband asks. It's before noon and I…read moresuggest we plan to go to dinner and try cafe notte. He thinks he's funny calling out that it's still morning. Cafe notte has good specials and good food. The staff is consistently friendly. We can immediately tell there's a number of regulars as everyone seems familiar with each other. Live music was really relaxing and for once I can genuinely say it was at a good volume (I think I'm aging). The restaurant has recently been remodeled. Still, it has the star-lit ceiling in the bar and the women's bathroom has an odd step up. The patio is directly on 65 which can be a bit noisy. I would suggest to pick a day to come here when you would prefer to sit inside!

It seems like it's not attached to the baseboards in a bunch of locations and goes up & down a lot. The food was very disappointing - especially with the higher prices. The lobster bisque didn't seem to have any lobster and was way too salty. The Caesar salads were more like wedge salads. Way too many bread crumbs and you had to cut the lettuce yourself. Annoying and served on small plates, so also very messy. The beef Bolognese was not really beef Bolognese. There was no meat sauce. No sauce at all really. It was beef chunks you had to cut up and. Large chopped tomatoes in an oil or something. It was also way too salty. The pasta was fresh. That was about the only good thing. The design looks nicer, but the horrible flooring makes that not fully come through. The service was also terrible. The waitress bright five glasses of water for a party of 6. One of us was never allowed to order a drink. He tried a few times, then gave up and just drank water. The waiters also waited until we got our salads and soups before putting in our main dishes. So we waited a LONG time between our first course and second just because if her choice. I liked it before the TV show messed with it. Now, I'm okay with never returning. I'd rather pay less (or even more) for better food and service.

Here are my reviews for the foods: Hand-tossed pizza - 4.5 stars - My husband greatly enjoyed this hand-tossed crust with a topping of prosciutto, and later he liked it with pepperoni. Thin-crust pizza - 4 stars - I have ordered this pizza with different vegetable toppings a couple of times. It tastes good. Greek salad - 4 stars - This salad had a few too many olives, but I easily picked them out. The lettuce, onions, feta cheese, and dressing were fresh. Italian hoagie - 4 stars - The crust was warm from the oven and had a moist center and crispy exterior. The filling--ham, pepperoni, capicola, prosciutto, hard salami, sopressata, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and provolone--were generous. Chicken wings - 5 stars - The skin was crispy, and the meat was tender. The level of heat in the sauce was mild as I had requested. Baklava - 4 stars - The walnuts, honey, and cinnamon tasted sweet, and the top crust was crispy. Tiramisu - 4 stars - I never drink coffee, but I ordered this coffee-flavored dessert because I had not eaten it in years. I did enjoy the taste. Crispy chicken salad - 5 stars - This salad was so large that it filled up three dinner plates! I liked the fresh lettuce, sliced eggs, and crispy chicken pieces. Calzone - 4 stars - I ordered the build-your-own option so I could select my exact ingredients. When you order, be sure to request pizza sauce inside and marinara sauce on the side. Breaded zucchini - 4 stars - The zucchini slices were large, covered in bread crumbs, and fried. They were not too greasy. Baked lasagna - 4 stars - The noodles were not soggy, the meat sauce tasted good, and the right amount of ricotta, provolone, romano, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses was included. Pizza rolls - 4 stars - I ordered the Hawaiian flavor, and the bread rolls had a good mix of ham, pineapple, and cheeses inside. New York Cheesecake - 5 stars - This cheesecake had a delicious crust, cheesy filling, and strawberry sauce. Chicken strips - 4 stars - I had expected the chicken strips to be a plain flavor, but they were actually slightly spicy. Their breading was crispy, and the chicken was juicy. Mozzarella sticks - 4 stars - The cheese was a non-gooey stick, but it tasted good and was surrounded by a crispy breading. Jalapeño poppers - 4 stars - They contained the right amount of jalapeño pepper, cheese filling, and crispy breading. Mac 'n cheese bites - 5 stars - The noodles were neither soggy nor hard, the right amount of cheese was used for a nice flavor, and the breaded exterior was crispy. Greek gyro - 2 stars - I had requested that the restaurant omit tomatoes, but they included tomatoes. My husband picked out the tomatoes. He ate all of this gyro, probably because he was hungry, but he described it as "not good." Beer-battered fish - 2.5 stars - Part of the fish was hard, and part was soggy, probably from the tomatoes. The flavor was OK. Caesar salad - 3.5 stars - The Caesar salad contained fresh lettuce, large croutons, a good amount of cheese, and dressing on the side. Good but typical. Chicken parmesan - 1 star - My husband ate NONE of this entree. The chicken was in small chunks and was mixed into the spaghetti. We had expected a large piece of crispy chicken sitting on top of the spaghetti. Cheese fries - 4 stars - The fries came in a large serving, were crispy, and were covered in a good amount of cheese. Turkey hoagie - 4 stars - This hoagie had crispy bread and fresh turkey and vegetables and was served warm.

We ate fried zucchini on paper plates. We were given silverware. The grilled chicken salad was served in a to go box. The fish sandwich was served on a reusable tray/bowl. The fried zucchini was plentiful and very good. It was served with marinara. The grilled chicken salad base was iceberg lettuce. The 8" fish sandwich was very filling. The cook/cashier/waiter was very attentive. It appears the business has a booming takeout business. Ample parking. The restaurant doesn't have a stop light to make exiting easy. The exit is through the neighboring apartment building's lot.

They also have $5 mimosas and bloody Mary's which is such a deal in today's economy. The brunch menu is amazing too! The breakfast pizza was awesome and I loved that they could sub out the cheese for just mozz for me since I'm picky. You have to try that! The pancakes were yummy and the breakfast sando with bacon and cheese and egg was great too. Honestly an awesome spot for brunch and the staff was super attentive and nice too! There were only a few tables filled on a Saturday night which seemed odd but they had 10-15 staff cranking out pizzas in their kitchen so they must do a huge take out business. Our waiter was very nice and not very knowledgeable about wing sauces or best selling pizzas so we assumed he was new and not very well trained. We requested a BBQ & Hot Sauce combo for our bone in wings that was super delicious and not an option on the listed sauce options. We asked for well done wings and they were nicely cooked. We ordered a medium pizza well done with pepperoni, extra mushrooms (they were fresh which is good but not very many for extra) and black olives on half. The waiter forgot our side of marinara and brought it microwaved in its little plastic container (a definite no-no). The pizza was pretty pedestrian, nothing special. They have a huge bottle/can beer selection and a few on draft. You have to ask for a glass. Families seem to love their specials and relaxed dining room. They have two big TVs with sports on them. A gentleman that came in near the end of our meal with his three sons and another couple asked to change both TVs to what he wanted to watch even though we were watching a game on one. Would have been nice if the waiter asked to change our station but there you have it.
