Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Car is a 2020 was aligned 10k ago. Car has 30k miles currently. Checked alignment, changed filters, wipers at a grand total of $400! I understand everybody needs to make a living but how do these thieves sleep at night? Total rip off. If this car needed all of this it really must be a piece of junk. Never again, I understand now why ppl don't service their cars, THEY CANT AFFORD IT! I have never paid more for routine service than the car payment. I'll do it myself from now on for 2/3 less. My 2017 Toyota RAV4 with 9K miles serviced at Gettel Toyota Bradenton FL on Oct 19, 2018 to replace pass. side front strut and slow leaking tire preparing for 1200 mile NJ holiday trip to visit grandchildren. They told me price 1st day then next day Told me price then at last minute they slide in some fake 1500.00 new car fee lmao, The other 3 toyota dealers i talked to said they dont have that scam fee on there vehicles they all charged 1050.00 for taxes tag and dealer fees out the door no hidden fees and they have never heard of any toyota dealer doing this so called new car fee of 1500.00 lol. My least favorite car dealership. I have to put 1 star. But really does not deserve any. Poorly marked as how to pull in for service. Asked me questions that should have been in computer. I asked for a read out which he argued he couldnt get me. I had to stand even though i have lung cancer in my bones until he shoved a chair at me. People smoking on property even though i have lung cancer. Argued with me that he didnt understand my concerns about his poor customer service. I handed him the keys. Sarcastically, he said he needed those. I even had an appointment. And still got such lousy service. I spelled my name. He spelled it back from another paper incorrectly. So I drove about a half of a mile down the road to Cale Yarborough Honda and bought my daughter a new car! I wouldn't go back to Florence Toyota and consider buying another car. Joseph Knight was our salesman and I use that term lightly. The entire test drive he was on the phone talking about the status of another deal or telling us about the deal. It's a 4 car deal but the man needs to show 'proof of roof' but apparently had bought his house several years ago paying cash and never actually received the deed. We learned more about his other deal than about the RAV4's that we were test driving, having to share tidbits of information between those of us on the test drive while he didn't try to contribute to sell the car at at. At the end of the test drive he joked that he had just ordered his food from Grubhub. His unprofessionalism and blatant write off of the customers that were right in front of him gives Toyota a bad name. We were severely disappointed, especially when we returned to the dealership and he then initially forgot to give us his card because his other customer had comeback and he made sure to tell us that. He did not ask for a contact number or to look at other vehicles on their lot to work with us on a price despite telling him we had loan approval and were looking to buy. I hope Joes 4 car deal works out because this dealership will not be receiving our business and honestly should not receive anyone else's. read more

Amen to the bait and switch, Talked to Savannah On Friday Evening, July 6th, told her what I wanted to look at, gave her all the info, and what we had to work with, and she said looks great and would work, go there after driving from Conway, just to be told no, but they wanted us to buy a new Toyota, the one we were looking at was not a Toyota. Chad the sales man was nice, Manager acted like he could care less, and never heard from Savannah......I am like one of the other people, would not have gave them a star, but had too, But on a good note if you are hungry and looking for good food go to the Long Grain Cafe, Great food and people. read more

Normally I don't go this far with these types of things but my experience with the dealership has been horrible. I have taken my car in thats still under warranty with 18,000 miles on it 5 times and still no resolve. I have also spoken with the service manager and he basically tried to blame me for his service worker and advisor not communicating on why I came back in after a week. He also said to me that he has to side with his service guy. Why would I not explain why I'm returning a week later. This guy is completely uncaring. As a woman I feel like it's sex discrimination. If I were a man this would have been resolved before 5 different visits. And I have been charged 3 different time based on guesses at to why my car is shaking at certain speeds. It's a mess and I'm annoyed that I as a woman was not treated properly. Def feel taken advantage of. Smh read more

Went to service department for oil change and computer screen went out. Was told 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. After an hour and a half I went to check on status and my car was ready! No one came to tell me. NO telling how long it had been ready. VERY POOR SERVICE. Then no one told me the computer screen was not fix or that radio had been ordered and when it would be in. Not happy with this place. Oh and did I mention the car is only 6 mo the old. Already falling apart. read more

After finding a car on Florence Toyota's website that interested me I spent a few days in email and phone conversation with the dealership to get more information about the car. I asked if there was any indication at all that the car had been smoked in and was told "it doesn't have any smell to it" and "there is nothing on or wrong with the Vehicle. It is in great condition." Florence is a 2 hour drive for me and I wanted to be sure that taking the time to get there would be met with the car being as described. Two different people, Brandy and Frankie, communicated with me and assured me that they understood and the car would be just as they said. On Saturday, February 24, my girlfriend and I arrived at Florence Toyota ahead of our scheduled 11am appointment. We were told by Frankie that the car was out back being shampooed and cleaned. That confused me as I had been told the car was in great condition so I didn't understand why they'd be shampooing it. After about a 15 minute wait Frankie told us the car was ready. When we got outside the car was sitting with the doors open. Frankie told us the interior may still be damp from the cleaning. As soon as I put my head inside I could smell on the seats that it had been smoked in even through the smell of cleaning products. I asked my girlfriend to give me her opinion on the car and she also smelled smoke. Frankie then suggested that maybe the guy in the service department who cleaned the car had smelled like smoke and the smell had transferred from him. I then went around to the passenger side and found that both the front and rear passenger side seats had numerous burn marks on them indicative of ashes. This would have been visible to anyone checking the car over. At this point it was clear the car had been smoked in and that our time had not been respected. I told Frankie I was no longer interested in the car and asked for the general manager's card. She said he was in the store at the time and she'd go get him for us. The manager, Terry, came out promptly. He then gave me a card which was actually the card of another employee named Terrell, whom I never dealt with throughout this experience, instead of giving me his own business card. The only thing he said to us regarding the situation was that he'd give us "some gas", which was offered in lieu of even an apology. This offer and his giving me a business card that wasn't his own demonstrated that he either didn't understand what was truly wrong with the situation or didn't care. I declined his offer. It seems to me that I was mislead about the car, they attempted to mask the smell of smoke by cleaning the inside of the car just before I arrived, and then when faced with having to answer for the situation the manager attempted to pass off responsibility by giving me the business card of someone I hadn't even spoken with rather than giving me his own. They knew I was driving a long way to look at the car, they knew I would not accept a car that had been smoked in, and yet they chose to proceed as I described. The situation rings of dishonesty and disrespect and isn't the proper way to do business. Based off of my experience I would suggest being cautious when considering buying a car from Florence Toyota. read more

My daughter and I was looking for a reliable used car on a tight budget. After searching the internet, we found her dream used car in our budget or so we thought. Spoke with salesman Anthony Mack about the one we were interested in. Mr. Mack suggested that we use the cash as a down payment and finance a BETTER automobile. But no, I did not want to hear that. I'm thinking we get this car and make the repairs as needed. Thinking it could not be that bad, could not possible that bad. I'm getting a car from Florence Toyota, even if it is an AS IS car. And everyone knows AS IS is AS IS-no take make. Well, anyway- we completed the transition. The car "looks" beautiful. We drive it off the lot (smiling)-then 7 minutes later off the lot the car STOPS! Ok, I'm cool, I knew we would have problems-but not this SOON! 7 minutes (WOW)! I didn't panic, well not on the outside. Thinking it needs an premium oil change. So we take it to get an premium oil change. Then we hear the words you never want to hear from an oil tec, after having your new car for for less then 30 minutes, "take it back!-will not last a day". Now my daughter is upset and I'm upset with myself. Heartbroken, I took a chance and called the dealership, spoke with Anthony Mack (with me knowing the law and understanding the contract I sign). I explain what happen, he says let me speak to my sales manager Bob Z. Well, keeping my cool and praying-Anthony says, leave the car there, we will pick it up Monday. Come back to the dealership and get another car. Ok, I'm saying, Thank You God !!. Well we get back to the dealership, Anthony has a BETTER car for us at the SAME price. LOOK AT GOD!!!!!!! Trying not to cry with joy and have a hallelujah praise church revival moment on the lot all I could say is LOOK AT GOD!!! THANK YOU Anthony Mack and Bob Z. Now I always say LOOK AT GOD when he makes it happen. But now LOOK AT GOD at Toyota of Florence!!! Aman Aman Aman!! I made contact to purchase a vehicle they had listed online. As an out-of-state consumer, I had to go off the online inventory and the conversations I had with two different sales associates. I began, but did not complete, the online credit application. I called to speak with the associate because there were issues with the webpage. We spoke on the phone about the vehicle again, and discussed credit questions. She told me she would call me back shortly after talking to her manager. When she called me back, she informed me that they no longer had the vehicle I intended to purchase, but that, luckily, she had new vehicles that I could purchase. She assured me they had not run my credit, but days later this would prove to be false as I had a new hard inquirers on my credit report. Amazingly, I could not get ahold of the manager to remedy the situation, after numerous calls and messages. When I finally got him in his office on the phone, he asked me if I completed the credit request online, which I told him I didn't. I told him to pull the tapes on the phone call, since they record all calls for quality assurance. Here we are, three months later, and I'm still not getting any information from the general manager - who told me he would call me back. The deceptive nature of this dealership, who knew fully well they no longer had the vehicle I was willing to drive eight hours to purchase, coupled with the horrific customer service, make this one of the worst dealerships I've ever had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with. Tips for this dealer: 1) Don't use them. 2) If you ignore my line of reasoning above, please please please ensure you have eyes on the vehicle before beginning any sort of discussion with any person at this location. 3) In the event that they run your credit without your permission for a car they don't have and don't intend to sell you, be prepared to be ignored, sidestepped, or "out-of-the-office'ed" regularly. Florence Toyota customers beware!! I took my car in for service last week, and they said they rotated my tires. Two days later I had a problem with my left rear tire. I had it checked. Turns out, this is a tire that was previously repaired when I hit something in the road (at that time the tire was on my left rear). In other words, Florence Toyota SAID they rotated my tires, but they did not do it. My husband called and spoke with the manager. His only comment was "Bring it back and I'll get the tires rotated." Really?! He had no comment for them stating they did something they didn't. Now I wonder if they even changed my oil!! I've owned Toyotas for almost 20 years, but I never got service at Florence Toyota because I had two friends that had similar experiences there. I thought they might have changed - or those might have been actual mistakes. Now I'm thinking they do this all the time and just don't get caught (or the word hasn't gotten out). I'm all about taking care of my car, but I'll depend on someone I can trust from this point on. read more

Be careful with the service department. They are either inept or very untrustworthy. My boys were traveling to Florence and brought a Sienna to them that had mildly overheated. The service guy quickly looked at the van and told them they needed a new engine, which would run anywhere from $6,000 - $10,000. Then, they asked the boys what they were going to do, and offered to give them $500 for the van instead fo having it towed back to our home in Charleston. I told the boys that sounded way too suspicious, and we would get the van towed for a second opinion. I went to pick up my sons from the dealership so I could see the van for myself. I started the van and it seemed to run just as smooth as before. We had the van towed to a AAA shop and after running tests, they found the van simply needed a radiator fan that had seized up and a few other minor repairs caused by the fan. We got the car back a few days later and it is running perfectly. How they could try to take advantage of 2 young boys in their moment of vulnerability is beyond comprehension. Stay away from this service department or at the very least get a second opinion. read more
