First of all, purchasing a car is an all day process! BMW and the Mercedes-Benz dealership are all attached. The dealership is on the smaller side. Inside is similar to the Mercedes side. It's well lit and there are a few cars in the showroom. Inside has an open floor plan. The sales associates' desks/areas are modern--light brown wood panels. There's a waiting area with a tv, coffee, water, and snacks. We had a pleasant experience. Ash was are salesman on this side, as well. Like I mentioned in my review of Mercedes, he is straightforward, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a key for my bmw at the Florence bmw dealership. I've had my car in this shop multiple times, I showed them my registration and license. After 30 minutes of looking for they key, they stated there was no record that I owned a car. I had to wait for a long time for the gentleman to find his "boss" as he said. After an hour, I got my $460.00 car key. I gave the employee $500 cash and it took him 15 minutes to bring me my change. Terrible service! I will. Took my BMW to the service department for some routine maintenance and a malfunctioning light under warranty. Due to supply issues, it took several weeks to 100% complete. The attitude of the sales staff up to the general manager (John) is laughable at best. If you have an issue they could care and that starts from the top. I had an issue an expressed it to the GM and his attitude was clear that he could care less. I drove an hour and twenty minutes to see a vehicle (after a confirmation email from their employee earlier in the day). I noticed prior to leaving home the vehicle was no longer on their website. I arrive at the location and with a huge grin from the salesman I got a "it's already sold". After him being unable to find a 5 series they have at the same price I left and contacted the GM. He basically stated...yeah it happens. They apparently hustle to get the vehicles off their website but don't share the same respect to contact customers they having driving up to see the vehicle. Not only is it deplorable customer service it's lack of respect to another person. Take the drive to Myrtle beach where they show their customers respect. In response to John (5/15/19) John, I literally spoke to you on the phone after it occurred and rather than attempting to recognize what occurred was an issue you essentially stated it happens....I'm not quite sure on what reaching out to you again stands to accomplish. Much like you asked. What do I expect you to do? The only thing I could think of after that was contacting BMW and notifying them of my experience as well and see if this is common at all their dealerships or was simply an issue from the top down in Florence. I came to S. Carolina for a birthday party and I left with a BMW X3 from this place. The service is AMAZING. I was shopping for the vehicle in Miami before flying up and was all set to pick it up from a dealer in Pompano Beach when I got back from my trip, but Ash Bhojwani gave me such a great offer on a car with more features that I just couldn't refuse. He is not pushy and will offer you as much information as you want on the car. This dealership is all about service. The product specialist, Gary, will take as much time as you need walking you through all the features of the vehicle and is available to answer any questions even after the sale. The manager, John Coomer, is a straightforward no-nonsense guy, and the dealership will even deliver the vehicle to your state. The dealership itself is spacious and light and a pleasure to be in. I have leased about 12 cars in my lifetime and visited dozens of dealerships. This experience beat them all. Was out of town ( from Atlanta) for a funeral in the area. I accidentally broke my key fob on a Sunday. I called the BMW of Florence on a Monday at 8 am. They told me they couldn't order my fob over the phone and I had to be present in person. No problem, I drove an hour to the dealership, ordered my key around noon Monday. Paid in full, day of. Was told I'd get key the next day or Wednesday, the latest. I called Tuesday, several times 8 am, 12, 4 pm, 6 pm. No key fob. Per the employees, you couldn't track the key. I called Wednesday, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm...no key. I called again around 2 pm and was told my key fob was never ordered?!!!!! No one could explain to me why they couldn't track my key and why it was never ordered. I didn't get my key until Thursday!!!! I missed an entire week of work and was never compensated for their negligence. On top of this poor service, I spoke with the manager, John Coumer, who promised I'd get refunded and have yet to receive a check. I've called his office and no return phone call. Of course, traveling a long distance and realizing you have a mechanical failure is not the best and jovial time to have. In the mist of my problems, Mr. Travis was able to get me in and have my car inspected and give me the results of my diagnosis quickly. No one wants to hear they have to leave there vehicle especially during a holiday weekend because it is not repairable but Mr. Joel did not stop until he found me a way to get my rental which was several towns over because all of the rental cars in the area were sold out. However, the All-Star of this dynamic trio has to be Mr. Brody. He would not leave my side until it was confirmed I had keys in my hand. He also led me back to the dealership to ensure I knew the way. Even though, this event is still ongoing and a bit traumatic; I do not know how I would've made it to see my mom who is sick in Charleston, South Carolina without the help of these three phenomenal gentlemen. Lastly, let's not forget Miss Rachel, who did not have to listen to my sobs as I cried about how I was going to pay for the repairs or to see my mom. Additionally, even though I didn't get your name, I don't want to forget the shuttle driver whom offered to help me find a rental car. I have had many cars in my lifetime and I'm sure the amount of maintenance on them will never change but my experience at this dealership has been a truly genuine, compassionate, heart felt experience.
