She requested a close harmony palette to compliment the wedding party's attire while suiting both the outdoor, home setting and season. Nancy created an uncommon balance: it was a subtle color harmony, complimenting the wedding party and the bride while enriching the setting and the ceremony. From boutonnières to bouquets, table centerpieces for our reception to the festooning and garlands for the arbor under which we took our vows, the full suite of flowers was subtle and understated; powerful while remaining exquisite. For us, the focal point of the wedding was the altar at the foot of our garden waterfall. Nancy turned a spindly, spare arbor frame into a symphony, wrapping it with garland and greens, draping festoons from the arbor's half moon top and flanking the base with period urns cascading blossoms and boughs. Bride and Groom were framed by white and pink roses, white hydrangea, cymbidium orchid blossoms, Irish Bells and Dusty Miller, laced with feathered asparagus fern, creating a halo of flowers around us as we stood to face each other. Weddings hold the promise to be magical. If you are looking for not your Mom's flowers you need to meet with Nancy. She has an open mind listening to everyone of my daughter's wishes.
