However on the day of the appointment I had a dental emergency. I called from the dental chair, halfway through the procedure, to let them know I couldn't make the 1:30 appointed time. They assured me to come as soon as I could before 5 and they would put the mirror on. I arrived about 3:30 and they took my van back right away. As I set in the very comfy waiting room, still shivering from three hours at the dentist, they offered me hot cafe to warm me up. But I noticed they had hot cocoa and chose that instead. Ahhh! After a short wait my van was done, but a Florida summer monsoon had swept through. The tech brought out an umbrella and escorted my to my van. In my experience they were friendly, professional, and provided great service at a reasonable price. I will not hesitate to call on them again, if need be.

This time, I found a company Yelp recommended, went to the them first and got a written quote, then submitted it to my insurance company for approval. My insurance company approved the quote in a day, and by the next week I had the check to cover the entire cost of the replacement. Then I called Mike's to schedule the repair. I had to put a deposit down first, which I was expecting. NOTE: they charge a fee when you pay by credit card, so use check or debit card if you don't want to pay any money out of pocket for the repair. Day of the repair my car was taken back right away while I waited in their small, but clean, waiting room. It took about an hour and half. I loved that at the end I got a report showing all the calibrations were done, and my new windshield passed. I would definitely use Mike's Auto Glass again.

Unfortunately, I was never even able to have my car repaired here. My battery died and alternator…read morealso needed replacing, so we called Storm on Thursday. They said I could have it towed over the weekend and they'd work on it Monday. The towing company (not Storm) was delayed so the car wasn't towed until around 9 on Monday morning. I tried calling Storm several times after they opened at 8am to let them know, but got no answer so I left a voicemail. Around 9:15 (over an hour past opening and after my car had been dropped off), I got a call from a woman stating that they were closed for the day because the entire staff was sick, and they "hoped" they'd be able to get to my car tomorrow. While I recognize that illness is not in anybody's control, I was very upset that (despite having my contact information and knowing that I was having my car towed) nobody could call me at any point over the weekend or prior to my car being towed Monday to let me know that they'd be closed. Clearly, some people were well enough to make calls, they just decided not to call me until my car was stuck there. They also apparently had enough warning to leave a note on the door (again, they knew I was not going to be going there prior to having my car towed) but not to call customers who had scheduled service appointments. When I expressed my frustration on the phone, rather than offering a genuine apology or assurance that my car would be handled as soon as the staff was well enough to come in, I was told "we can't control when people are sick." I found this to be quite belittling, as again, I recognize that illness is often unavoidable. I truly appreciate when a business puts the health of their employees first, even if that inconveniences me as a customer; my irritation stems from the fact that at no point could someone (who was obviously able to come in based on the note and the call I eventually received) give me the decency of a heads up that my service appointment was effectively canceled. Because of Storm's total lack of professionalism and standard of service, I had to have my car towed twice in one day. This has led me to be without a vehicle for at least one extra day as well. Thankfully, there were other mechanics in the area who could help.

Then they called me saying that they found the leaking hose but the mechanic said something might break if he try to remove it..... I ask him what happens if it breaks???
