Friendly staff and a great selection of marmalade and souvenirs to bring back. Lots of coconut and citrus oriented snacks to choose from. They have a smaller store and a larger store front, but they both sell similar items. The larger store has a tank of baby alligators and samples of the citruses they offer (ask for the samples). If you need any last minute Disney related clothes, home goods, and nicknacks, they have plenty you can quickly pick up and continue on your way home. read more

The service was friendly, however when the gas is roughly thirty-five to forty cents more a gallon, it is hard to justify that. read more

I did get 3 decent Florida tee shorts for 12 bucks total. The free chilled orange juice is quite good. I stopped here on my way down to Florida one week ago and picked up a bag of grapefruit and a few boxes of coconut patties. Customer service was so friendly and helpful and pleasant at 8 in the morning. I had one or two grapefruit a day for the last week, and on my way back home I absolutely had to pick up another bag. Josh went out of his way to make sure I got my grapefruit at closing time. I realize there are quite a few Florida Citrus Center locations along the turnpike, but these guys at the Sunoco put it together better than the rest. read more

I rate this location with less than zero stars. I tried a piece of both the oranges in the sample bin and they were delicious and very juicy, so I decided to buy a bag of the navel oranges at $22.95 before tax. Well, let me explain my experience. If I were still in Florida instead of Alabama, I would RETURN the bag of dry, pithy, and tasteless oranges with more thick, dry skin than the amount of fruit inside. Huge tourist trap, but as someone from Chicago, this worked. Although this place sells citrus, it is mostly a gift shop inside. There are many cool things inside like real gemstones, custom shot glasses, mickey mouse shirts, postcards, and so much more. There is also jewelry but there is not really a variety of it. The inside of the store is small so it is really close together. I did end up getting a postcard with some jewelry. read more

I give this place five stars. It is an amazing pic to bring your family to and have roads of family fun. We stayed at the comfort inn the street turned out. It's all inclusive with the citrus across the street. We had an amazing time we toured the gas station and saw some amazing sites such as the baby alligators and loads of souvenirs. for lunch, we had amazing Chac-o-gators. we are so very happy for this amazing tourist destination. read more

Florida Citrus center offers fresh oranges, grapefruits and pecans. The store also has a large variety of jellies, candies , spices, gifts and more. We purchased the red naval oranges and grapefruits, which we were able to sample. They all were very sweet and juicy. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The place is small and has a gas station adjacent to the store. It is located off the highway. Perfect for stopping, crabbing Florida Citrus fruits and heading back onto the highway. read more

Bought 3 bags of oranges and 1 bag of tangerines and when we got back home found that about 1/3 of each were rotted, about 1/3 were small and green. the other 1/3 were not good quality. A waste of money. Next time will buy in the grocery store. read more

I purchased two bags of naval oranges and one of pink grapefruit. While the grapefruit seemed fine the oranges were dried out, pithy, no taste and no juice. with here and there a decent one. This is not what I sampled and to me it is a "bait and switch". The fact that this business does not provide an email or telephone # is a red flag to me. I do not recommend buying fruit from here as you don't know what the actual product will be.. I spent $56.85 for this bad fruit and next time I will purchase from local Sprouts. Hubby wanted some oranges so we stopped here. They didn't have the specific type he was looking for so we didn't end up getting oranges here. Hate giving one star reviews, but sometimes it has to be done. Florida citrus center is such a disappointment and a tourist trap. "Fresh oranges", "baby alligators" and "giant gator" are some of the dishonest things you'll see on their billboards while hoping to score a flavor of Florida's signature fruit. So, I'll focus on one thing in this review and that's oranges. Newsflash: THEY ARE NOT FRESH. Not only are they not fresh, but most of them are already rotting. You know how an orange is supposed to smell like, well, an orange? Here they smell and look like they've been roasting outside under the sun for weeks! Wait, that's exactly what happens here. Peaches were also on the verge of complete spoilage. Avoid this tourist trap at all costs. Here is an alternative, go across the street to the non-advertised Reed's citrus shop. That's where the real stuff is. Ps. The giant gator is not real, get ready for disappointment and crying kids if you have them. read more

This is one of a million hole in the wall produce stops off the interstate leaving Florida. They have a large set of restrooms in parking area. They have two shops full of tourist merch and food. We got some delicious oranges and stocked up on jelly and coconut patties. They had a large amount a Disney souvenirs. I looked and it was pretty nice stuff. They offer the basic Florida souvenirs like shells, towels, Taffy and postcards. The staff was nice. The young guy with glasses was very knowledgeable and helpful. I hate I didn't get his name. Worth the visit if you need a hassle free restroom stop off the highway, but not much else. Feels like a 1960s "off-the-highway-gimmick" store. We stopped at this place as we drove North on our way home in hopes of taking home alittle Florida home with us. There was a nice person sampling several delicious types of oranges and tangelos so we were excited to take home a couple bags . When we got home and peeled the first of many, we found they were rotten , soft and no flavor at all. This place is a rip off , don't bother to stop!
