To start, I was misled about the necessity of "right to bear arm " insurance, which I was told was mandatory. Despite inquiring twice, I was falsely assured of its indispensability. However, this was not the case, as I later learned that the insurance was optional. This misinformation is a glaring issue in an environment where integrity should be the foundation. Moreover, contrary to the assurances given, I was billed immediately for this insurance, without my consent. This action is not just misleading, but it also questions the ethical standards of FDT. Adding to this, the training session itself felt more like a platform for advertising their additional services rather than a genuine learning experience. They skillfully masked their sales pitches within the training, emphasizing their promoted insurance and urging attendees to enroll in their membership. This approach detracted significantly from the educational value of the course. Another distressing aspect is their persistent marketing. Despite attempts, I have been unable to unsubscribe from their continuous stream of emails, which adds to the overall frustration. In conclusion, my experience with FDT was marred by misleading information, unethical billing practices, and a focus on self-promotion over quality training. This place is awesome for side arm safety, training, fight training, and training overall to get in shape. I took the intro course and learned a ton, the same as the certification course I took. Definitely worth every penny! I used to train with TacticalU and I never learned half of what I learned with FDT! Plus I used to spend $400-$800 per class! Now I can get all the training from awesome instructors unlimited... The membership only requires me to provide a 30day cancelation notice before my billing and that's it! Self Defense in Miami? 100% awesome training. I go 3 times a week for 2-3 classes everytime since i have unlimited training!. A few people comment about the 30day contract which is totally understandable just like many other crossfits and gyms... I've trained with many other instructors in the past and nothing closed to what i've experienced in FDT. The average formal instruction anywhere you would go is $150-200 for 1 hour of training...
