She was professional, thorough and her easy-going and friendly manner put me at ease immediately. She performed a minimally invasive procedure with a probe in my throat which was uncomfortable, but she made it as fast, painless and efficient as possible, offering encouragement and support. I found her very thorough, and willing to listen to my symptoms and concerns and address them. Equally important, she was kind, understanding, sympathetic and personable. She asked questions and listened to my responses, seeking more information and deeper understanding. As I've started to age and accumulate more health conditions, I've seen more and more doctors and specialists, many of whom are dismissive, uncaring and even rude. He carefully interviewed me for almost an hour and came up with a diagnoses and a game plan that worked almost immediately. Awful taste in my mouth was the main problem. A taste I could not live with. Dr. Eric Loch was filling in for my awesome Ear, Nose Throat Surgeon - Agnes Nall when I met him. She had performed a total thyroidectomy on me a few months ago and scar was very small and positioned in natural neck line, compared to what I was seeing with other surgeons. Anyway she was on vacation and my mystery could not wait. I was really impressed I received the same careful care I received with Dr Nall with Dr Eric Loch. This issue was about dentist and oral surgeons vague with me but claiming I needed like four different RE-Route canals in my upper mouth and it just really became clear I had something wrong with my sinuses although no stuffy nose at all. Dr Eric Loch figured out I had something simple but rather serious that also alleviated OTHER problems I was having such as blood pressure constantly high no matter how many BP meds I was on. His diagnosis was tentatively (until formal sleep study) Sleep Apena. I am not sure I really believed him until I got home and began protocol for sleep apnea and read up on it. This explained blood shit eyes, awful snoring, high blood pressure and constant lethargy, among other symptoms that can be anything. My life got better VERY FAST because of Dr Loch. He gave me like five simple things I could do right away, and the next morning I felt better than I have in a few years. And by the way if they have to scope you its so simple you wont even notice. They can go down all three ports at once, very fast and took like a few seconds. My weekend was so great, it was the first weekend I felt really good in a long time also. Bottom line I had sleep apena bad and snoring is not normal. There are dentist trying to market sleep apnea products but I do not think they let saliva move or address the nose (which is the most important thing to address) so I will go with equipment about the nose. So Manatee Ear, Nose Throat are ALL really good specialists and I noticed most of their staff are patients. One has constant tinitus. So they seem to also recognise their staff are important and seem to treat them really well.

I saw him again in July to assess how my new blood pressure pills were working. It worked great & my blood pressure was controlled right away. All of my labs are normal so he said it's ok to have a follow up in 6 months. I like the PA. I have no issues with him. My issues are 100% about the protocols in place at this office. They require you to call the office every 3 months for your refills. Why can't they just give me a prescription with enough refills for one year like normal doctors offices??? If that's not frustrating enough, I can't call for my refills until 7 days exactly before I run out of meds. I use a mail order pharmacy so this is not ok. The first time I tried to call for refills, it was a month ahead & they said I have to call back a week before. So I called back 8 days before my prescription runs out, and they said I had to call back THE NEXT DAY!!! Why???? This is so ridiculous. They said it was because my prescription insurance won't fill it early but that's a lie because I receive notifications from my pharmacy to get a refill a month before it's due so they would have accepted it a month in advance. So now (early Dec) I'm almost out of my meds again, and I asked for another refill. I have my 6-month follow up appt in Jan. The office said they won't refill my med unless I see the doctor again before hand. I just saw him 5 months ago, and he said I just need to come in after 6 months. I told the office this, and they said it was office policy. Their policies make no sense, and I feel like it's all just a money making scheme because I keep getting charged here & there for things that should be completely covered under my health insurance. I never argued about it, and I paid what I owed since it was only $20-50. This ridiculous refill process is just not worth my time. I switched to another doctor that I know for sure gives one year refills. Save yourself the trouble & do NOT go to this office.
