I will say I'm glad they gave us an address to the exact building but parking was not clear. You have to park in a paid parking lot which I thought was a little bit odd. The student ambassadors are all very informative and are willing to answer any questions you have along the way. They show you the major highlights around campus including one of the dorms. Every worker there just passes you on to the next department because that is a government school for you. They all sit on their ass all day taking government money in their pockets. I have called over 20 phone numbers, visited both campuses in person, and they all directed me to the next department. Try calling a phone number, and they will transfer you, try going in person, they will direct you over. This has been an absolute nightmare for me, and I hope they change all the workers and hire people who actually do their jobs. Worst school I have ever seen.

I was told multiple times by multiple people that I would be able to start classes at the beginning of the summer semester (May 8th) and was led to believe that classes would be in-person. I am a veteran using the GI Bill so I made sure to state that I needed residential classes to receive my full housing allowance from the VA. Despite a month of emails and texts back and forth, it was not until the day that classes were supposed to start, and after I had again reached out to check on my admission and registration, that I was rudely informed by my admissions counselor that advising had "just told" him that I had been accepted but new students are not allowed to start classes until the second term of the summer semester (June 26th)! Not only was I told this suddenly made up rule that is in no way stated anywhere on any correspondence from them or even on their website, but I was then also told that even if I was allowed to start today as I had been led to believe, but that summer classes are all online! Again! Absolutely nothing had ever been mentioned about this and there is no evidence of this on any correspondence or on their page. Not only was this all seemingly very disingenuous and purposefully misleading, but I was also informed by my academic/professional and character references that the surveys they were required to fill out asked extremely invasive, intimate and alarming details for a seemingly Christian school to ask. As a current student at Liberty university and someone who works with investigating and recovery for sex trafficking and exploitation, these questions and the required dress code for the school, are egregious at best. No school should ask the professional/academic or character references of it's potential student if they believe that the student has any inappropriate sexual relationships, or if the student smokes or drinks, and they should definitely not be required to give further details! Why is this school asking teachers/counselors/supervisors about the sexual relationships of their students/subordinates?! No school should make note that it is located near the ocean and thus require that it's students not wear anything that could "potentially cling to the body if wet", even if they are at the beach. All in all this school does not give the presence of one being guided by faith in God and rather gives the essence of something nefarious. I would strongly advise all to proceed with caution.

Saint Leo University has an incredible campus that is expanding every second. The influx of…read moreinquiries and applications has forced Saint Leo to renovate some of the historical one story buildings to three story buildings. I obtained my BA from Saint Leo back in 2011 and the campus was beautiful with a lake in the back, palm trees through the campus, tons of open areas with shaded seating areas, and plenty of space to throw Frisbee or just relax. I am now back in their Graduate program because I couldn't stay away. I take a majority of my classes at a small Lakeland location that is included in the Sykes building, but I had to make the 1hr drive to the University campus for this most recent class and I couldn't be more excited. I was bummed out when I first heard that I had to make that long drive after work, but all those negative thoughts disappeared when I stepped foot on campus and witnessed all the changes that occurred since I graduated. The Crawford building (mostly criminal justice classes) was transformed from a one story building to a 3 story masterpiece called Kirk Hall. The bottom floor has some cutting edge classrooms with touch screen monitors, computers for use, and 2 separate seating areas. The new Donald Tapia business building is also a 3 story building that has innovative layouts for the classrooms. The library is incredibly cozy and most of the buildings have free coffee for anyone. The campus is smaller because it is a private school, but I can't help but want to learn when I walk around. I may consider just making the drive once a week to the main campus because I love the atmosphere so much! Watch out for parking though! All parking lots require a yellow or red parking decal and a ticket or towing could be a result if you don't pay attention. There is only 1 visitors parking area in the front by security, but there is also a LARGE parking garage located towards the back of the school that also shows you how many spots are open. Guests can park anywhere after 5pm, so just keep that in mind. Be careful when first entering the campus. There is a round about and students routinely speed straight into the round about without looking. There is HUGE level change from going in or going out of the round about, so be careful with bottoming out for your car's sake. The events are never ending on campus with plenty of public attendance encouraged, so be on the lookout for credible guest speakers and performances that will blow your mind! GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

I withdrew from St. Leo last spring. I just received a phone call from a collections company saying…read morethat my tuition was sent to collections for past due tuition that they charged me for the summer. Even though I had withdrawn, was using the GI bill and had not received any correspondence stating that I was being charged tuition for a term that I was not enrolled in. I called, after waiting an hour on hold, and they said that maybe my counselor signed me up for courses. Now I have to contact admissions, get a statement from them that I was not logged in or attending the summer session and still have to go through the collections company to pay. All of the correspondence that I had received were text messages asking how the semester was going, which I always replied I am not enrolled or attending. Thanks for ruining my credit with putting something in collections that shouldn't have been there to begin with.

If you take student safety as a priority it's a NO…read more Nice looking school with affordable tuition but what you save in money is not worth the trouble. My daughter's safety was in jeopardy by an unruly roommate that had no respect for herself let alone the other roommates. My daughter told her RA and the Residence Office that guys were coming into the room at all hours of the night "expecting to get some". In addition, this roommate would lash out both verbally and physically (on video no less and yes the school is aware) and the school did NOTHING about it. When my daughter asked to switch rooms, they made her go through hell and back and guilted her for not problem solving herself. They upset her so badly that she was visibly upset and her other roommate had to come to the office to get her to calm her down. She finished out the semester and transferred out. Not only did I file a Title IX sexual harassment report that they buried but they also put a sanction on her so that she couldn't transfer easily to another dorming college. This school is not free. I paid tuition for my daughter to be harassed by her roommate and then her school. Shame on you UTampa. No wonder the retention rate is so awful. For those parents that worry about their children away at school, this is not the school for your kid.

Since this is not the main campus, the classes offered are smaller which allows the student a more one on one experience with the professors. To go with this, the teachers know their students by name and face recognition. You are not a number here! Also, the campus is well kept and clean. Everything is always so pristine and if anything is out of order it gets cleaned up right away. Overall, the College of Central Florida's Citrus campus is definitely a good start for a freshman in college and really allows you to ease into the life of college and adulthood. I was petrified to start back in college and everyone there encouraged me to fulfill a life long goal I had set for myself but never thought I would be able to do. I've not seen any visitor parking spots. Engineering continues to grow year after year! Life is good with an engineering degree!
