The rally was only a day away, the shop was full and I showed up without an appointment. James and the crew had my scoot on the lift and turning wrenches in 15 minutes. They worked tirelessly in an effort to get me to the event I'd dreamed of attending for most of my life. That's when we found hundreds of large metal shavings left inside the engine, from the rip-offs at Ramjet. The repairs included tearing the engine down several times, and flushing and digging out the large shavings. Work on my bike never stopped, until it was rolling again. James let me camp in his yard and treated me as an old friend for the 2 weeks it took to finish the repairs. They searched the entire country to find replacement cams, lifters and high flow oil pump to get my baby back on the road....DURING COVID! I don't possess the words needed to speak as highly as they deserve. My deepest thanks, gentlemen.

I pulled the spark plugs on my 2007 Honda vtx1300 8000 miles. The front 2 were lean (red) the back…read more2 were rich (black) , I changed them it took me 15 minutes pop the cover replace spark plugs 9 dollars each. I took off the air filter cover and watched the carb deliver fuel, obviously dirty carb. causing the rough idle and shaking. I took it to Star cycle repair to have the carb (1) rebuilt. I agreed to 8 hours labor to rebuild the carb 840.$ which was excessive because a rebuild kit can be had for 15. ‐ 30. dollars, a new carb can be had for 500.$ On picking up the bike I see an extra 300. was tacked on to the bill. I paid the diagnosis fee which I did 157.50 the one hour labor to replace spark plugs which had only 9 miles on them (1 plug replaced)105.00 labor 11.95 plug and 17.50 credit card fee! Upon inspection now my front fork seal is now leaking and I complained about the original bill being 350.$ more and now having to have more work done to repair. Once again I agreed if the price was reasonable. 650.$ to replace fork seals (seal and dust cover 25.00 kit (2) )was just more of the same price gouging. I find this organization to be suspect honesty and my experience not worthy of repeat. Once again looking for a repair shop (trustworty) I can depend on. They also left off a grommet on the spark plug cover!

My recent customer service experience with Red Hills Powersports in Tallahassee FL. I must admit I…read morewas pleasantly surprised, some might even say shocked at the level of service I received. The Service Dept. was able to service my bike and leave it running in tip top operating condition, just in time to enjoy this Fall weather. My bike sat for a year and a half in my garage needless to say the fuel system became an issue. After discussing my situation with Cody the Store Manager we were able to get my bike there and they started on the repairs, a week later my bike was ready Just purring like a kitten. Adam the service Advisor recommended some additional repairs which at the time I could not afford, although I did let him know I would try and get the issue resolved sooner than later. I am seriously considering trading my bike in on a newer one perhaps a 2018 Indian Scout Bobber? Still trying to negotiate with Cody a mutually agreed upon deal. Cody is very appreciative of former, retired and Active Duty Military members and is willing to squeeze blood out of a turnip if he has to, to win your business. I am waiting to see if we can shake hands on a great deal for both of us. In the event that we can't, I still want to praise his management style and most of all, his willingness to go above and beyond the required due diligence in customer service. He is a very tough but fair negotiator. I recommend his shop to any of my friends and coworkers for servicing their bikes. I have only let one mechanic, Mike, work on my vehicles from oil changes to replacing the clutch and front end work. They are honest, respectful and serious about their work!
