We had to make 4 different visits (all worth the trips) while in Orlando so they could monitor the eye and ensure it did not get worse and was healing properly. They were very thorough and communicated with our player's eye doctor back in KY. If you you are in Orlando, and have an eye issue (which I hope you don't), I would highly recommend Dr. Marx and Dr. Nevada and their team at Southwest Orlando Eye Care! 5 !

Yet when I arrived, they couldn't find my insurance in their system. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually located it -- something that should have been handled before I walked in the door. It only got worse from there. Once they realized I needed a full eye evaluation and assessment of my scleral lenses, they informed me I had been scheduled with the wrong doctor. My options were to either wait another hour or reschedule entirely. Since I had already driven an hour each way, I agreed to wait. Then I was told the doctor only spends 20 minutes per patient -- and that if I actually needed scleral lens fitting or proper evaluation, I would have to come back on another day. At that point it became very clear: their priority was protecting the doctor's schedule, not providing patient-centered care. There was zero ownership of the scheduling mistake, zero attempt to accommodate the situation meaningfully, and no concern for the fact that I had invested two hours of driving time. Healthcare is supposed to be about patients. Instead, I felt like an inconvenience to their calendar. This was a complete waste of my time. If you value efficiency, professionalism, and being treated like a patient rather than a scheduling problem, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The front desk staff was too concerned with their chatter to really care what was going on in the waiting room. The doctors here are very good, but the way the business part of a doctors office is run is terrible.

You could not get a real person when calling. They took two weeks to call me back after the referral, and then said they did not take my insurance. After I called my insurance firm, who said they DID take my insurance, I called again and just started pressing buttons to get a real person to schedule an appointment. Then the project manager twice failed to return phone calls after they scheduled me to visit the eye surgery office which was WAY over in Maitland, where you have to visit at least three times. Nothing made me confident in this chain clinic, so I asked my insurance firm to cancel them so I could find another firm like one recommended by a surgeon frient. These guys failed customer service 101 and need to take a course in customer relations from Disney, which is an actual ccourse and our Lake County DMV has gone and are much better than this schlock outfit. Oh, and I am a retired Fortune 500 Internal Audit manager who audited and fixed many operational and workflow systems so I have experience in the field.,

Communication with staff. I waited almost 6-8 weeks for glasses because they were not done…read morecorrectly in the first place. The manager helped me after the original employee billed my insurance and credit card to another patient. That was the beginning of the first mistake. When my glasses finally came in the first time we realized that the same employee did not measure me correctly for my progressive lens. They remade my glasses however, the glasses still did not work. During this time, the manager assured me she was crediting my account for the full amount. I would not have to pay anything and on top of that she was giving me a credit on my account for future purchases. It took about two months for me to finally get glasses that worked. There were a lot of delays. This all started in January and today I received a bill. Upon investigating the bill, it was told that it was for some sort of protection plan that I absolutely did not ask for on these glasses nor I ever would have. There was no apologies from the billing office and she did not want to assist me at all. She told me she would put a hold on the account and wait for the manager to possibly contact them. But I would probably get another bill next month. There was nothing but chaos on the day that I chose my glasses in January. So many people walking around. It is very hard to know when it is your turn to be helped. My husband and I have used my eye doctor for many years. Needless to say we are done, will be finding someone else next year.

Well, this is embarrassing…read more Should I tell? Of course. So, after the Color Run, I had trouble taking out my contact lens. I have worn contacts for at least 7 years with only one minor mishap. This is the second, more ridiculous and expensive mishap. I had a big glob in my eye, and I'm sure the color powder had something to do with it. I wanted someone good to look at it. I found this place on my insurance website. Having no clue as to whom to choose, I decided to pick a doctor that appeared to have an East Indian name. Dr. Saira Choudhri. Perfect. The office was kind of hard to find, but I did after some driving around. It's across from the Loop behind the Vitamin Shoppe in a professional office park. I just felt like everyone in the waiting room was old. I was the only young person. The feel was clinical, and rather impersonal. It needs warmth. Not a discount, just an observation. Dr. Saira Choudhri is more qualified than necessary. More beautiful than necessary. So, here I am, with blue still coming out of my nose from color run, and now yellow coming out of eyes, with a gorgeous, overqualified eye doctor taking out my daily contact lens with no effort at all that I had been trying to get out for the past 3 days. And she tells me I have allergies in that eye, gives me my drops, and I am on my way. And I am suppose to see her again in 6 months. I felt as if I was dealing with competent people here who really know their stuff. It's a professional and clean environment, and would definitely recommend. I just don't think you'll go there to make BFF. See, told you it was ridiculous.
