Communication with staff. I waited almost 6-8 weeks for glasses because they were not done correctly in the first place. The manager helped me after the original employee billed my insurance and credit card to another patient. That was the beginning of the first mistake. When my glasses finally came in the first time we realized that the same employee did not measure me correctly for my progressive lens. They remade my glasses however, the glasses still did not work. During this time, the manager assured me she was crediting my account for the full amount. I would not have to pay anything and on top of that she was giving me a credit on my account for future purchases. It took about two months for me to finally get glasses that worked. There were a lot of delays. This all started in January and today I received a bill. Upon investigating the bill, it was told that it was for some sort of protection plan that I absolutely did not ask for on these glasses nor I ever would have. There was no apologies from the billing office and she did not want to assist me at all. She told me she would put a hold on the account and wait for the manager to possibly contact them. But I would probably get another bill next month. There was nothing but chaos on the day that I chose my glasses in January. So many people walking around. It is very hard to know when it is your turn to be helped. My husband and I have used my eye doctor for many years. Needless to say we are done, will be finding someone else next year. read more

Emma at MyEyeDr in Clermont was an absolute life saver today. I went to MyEyeDr on 2/5/2026 because I stupidly put my glasses in a bag that had a lint brush. One of the lenses touch the adhesive of the lint brush and it created what looked like a blotch in the middle of the lens. Once I realized they could not be fixed via agressive cleaning, I decided to go to MyEyeDr so they could be sent out. I also brought in my spare glasses, because they felt incredibly tight. As Emma was inspecting my main pair of glasses, I told her how tightly my spare set felt. She asked to look at them, performed what can only be described as magic, and in less than 10 seconds she gave them back and asked me to try them on. I looked at Emma in disbelief and embarrassment. After patiently waiting for me to stop laughing, Emma admitted what I already knew, and told me it was magic. Emma is clearly no muggle. As if that wasn't enough, Emma then asked me the following: How would you like to spend no money today? I looked at her skeptically, but then she informed me that my glasses were still under warranty. She could be telling the truth, or perhaps she performed more magic. We've been coming here for a couple of years now. I really like the doctor and staff. Everything is always clean and quick. The staff are friendly and the Doctors is very nice. My only issue is the warranty on the glasses. My 7yo son is rough on glasses and he blew through his 2 frame warranty in less than 6 months. We ended up getting his glasses from another place that didn't have a max number of frames covered. read more

This place is by far the worst experience I've ever dealt with for getting contacts. I'm from out of town and it was laughable how long they took. I wasted close to 3 hours in here and there wasn't even much of a line. They charged my card 3 or 4 different times which turned out to be my new part time job trying to figure out their mistakes with my bank. They even charged me for other customers items. I felt like I was in a movie. This place is so bad that I've been wearing my glasses for the last couple months just so I don't have to go back in there again. I always always give the worker the benefit of the doubt especially when it comes to electronics issues and I've never throw anyone under the bus literally expect these people. We have been going here for a couple years now and have gotten decent service from everyone there. My child has gotten glasses twice and they were well done and they are happy with how they look. Prices are what can be expected. So far as my glasses go, I wear no line bifocals and have done well with them over the years. The ones I got from here have marks on them that they told me are on all no line bifocals. I checked a couple of old pairs I have and they do not have any visible marks. They are supposed to be out of line of sight but I see them all the time and there is nothing they can do for me as they are supposed to be there. I only go here now because they take my insurance but if I can find glasses cheaper someplace else when my prescription changes I will make a purchase elsewhere for mine. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I am new to the area, have to been to same facility in a different state and thought it would be very convenient since my records are here. They don't have ANY appointments after 5pm or I'm Saturdays, so that make it difficult to book. I had to take PTO to make an appt for a 4pm time slot. Made it online, got a conformation and then a reminder via email. Then show up 20 minutes early incase I needed to fill out paperwork and then hear them say I was in overflow and can't been seen!!?? Then the lady who was having bad (she yelled about it while she had to ask him again if I can be seen) and was like well Dr. Umar Ahmed he can't see you and we need to reschedule! I'm like wait, what!? They claimed they tried to reach me and I got a random phone yesterday with NO voicemail. So I don't call back unknown numbers, SPAM issues! They kept saying well we tried to contact you twice today and have record of it. I showed my phone and had NO calls today! Mind you, I'm already there and they said well the doctors is who makes the decisions and he can't see you today!!! We have to reschedule. This is so unprofessional and I took time off for this appointment and they/he did not care!! In my 20+ years going to an eye doctor, I have NEVER had this experience, especially if you are already at the facility. Don't waste your time here, they don't care about the patient. They will cancel your appointment BUT if you try to they charge you! read more

They then told her that she is going to lose her benefits because this will count as her visit. Her contact was ripped and they wouldn't give her a trial contact. Instead they told her to put the torn contact in her eye. They were all horribly nasty as well. This place need to go out of business. Cindy at Clermont by far one of the worst Associates I ever Interacted with. She was rude and nasty. She had this smug look on her face when we were 10 minutes late and said we had to reschedule our appointment. What she doesn't realize or respect is that people take off for one specific day out of the month to take these appointments. Drive over an hour to get there, gets hit by traffic and then she wants my husband to come back tomorrow. Are you joking? Is this not a business? They are okay with making us wait over an hour for the doctor to get ready but not for us to be 10 minutes late? Do not go here. This place is a joke. The front desk person is rude. They clearly don't want to help you. They were mad that my husband didn't call them back with their insurance card but he did and we have proof but when he did it stated the number is invalid. This place is in an awful complex center regardless so it doesn't even look or feel like a real business. I was so turned off by the experience I found another optometrist. Customer service should be #1 right? My times have changed for this place. Me and my daughter were patients up until yesterday. I'm not sure what changed but something changed over the last year. The lady answering the phone will tell you it's because of COVID. I'm not buying it. I tried to schedule my annual eye appointment for my daughter and I and after calling the office it automatically went to an automated message letting me know to save time I could go on their web page and schedule an appointment. I went to the web page and clicked on the tab to schedule an appointment and a message popped up telling me to call the office. Don't believe me try it. So I called the office a second time and waited a couple of minutes listening thru the automated options to get to a human voice. Eventually I got a voice. She asked me basic questions, name, address DOB not just for me but my daughter like We were-new patients which we were not. We went back and forth for a few minutes to find an open date that works with my schedule then told me she would have to put me on hold. I couldn't believe how hard it was to schedule an appointment. It seemed extremely unorganized and the person answering the phone to me, felt like she was lost. I ended up get frustrated and telling her to forget it. I was so turned off by the experience I took my business else where. I was able to schedule an appointment with a new eye doctor 1/2 mile from this place in less than 2 minutes. Good luck read more

The appointment and the doctor was all excellent however when it comes to the customer service end it was bad. I live far away as it is and only went to this location based upon availability of appointments. I got a notification on thanksgiving that my contacts were ready for pick up so I went in the next day on Friday. After I got home I realized I was missing half of my contacts so I called. I was told she could mail them to me but I thought I would have time to go and pick them up so I told her not to worry about it. I realized over the weekend I wouldn't be able to come during the times they are open. I called back on Monday as soon as they were open and asked them to mail them to me. I was told I would have to pay for shipping because I wanted them mailed. This is all over $6.95 when they forgot to give me all of my contacts. I repeated to the woman on the phone that they forgot to give them to me this wasn't my mistake and how far away I live. They didn't care and kept telling me I'd have to pay for the shipping. This lab remade a pair of glasses for me four times and still they are not right to other pair of glasses I had equal problems plus they lost a pair of my previous glasses and claim they never had them. annual exam for myself and 2 others. the doctor is always great. staff needs a big over haul. everyone who is staffed up front has a cell phone in their hands at all times to the point of ignoring customers when they walk in. An older gentleman getting laughed at because he was ignored when he walked in . The associate ( who was busy on her phone ) finally looked up after he was standing there trying to get her attention, she motioned to the front desk and said, "they can help you over there." This made another front desk associate bust out in laughter and then giggled her way to the back room because of the "hilarious " situation. My husband and I had our annual appointment today and met with Dr Patel. Everyone was exceptionally friendly! We had our 8 month old and it was our first time having appointments like that since he was born and they staggered us so that we were finished quickly and allowed us to have baby in tow. They never made me feel like a bother for having a kid around (he was well behaved but still). Dr Patel explained everything in a way that really made sense and took the time to let us have options. I normally leave eye appointments feeling neutral or kind of confused or rushed but I left confident that my vision will be improved this year. read more

Absolute best eye care location I've ever been to. All the staff members were SO nice and very knowledgeable about brands, insurance, and all my possible options. The front desk receptionist and Jazzy helped me so much in getting the best deal for my money. They also helped me pick out glasses that best suited my face, complexion, and eye color. I couldn't believe how helpful everyone was! I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time, and the check-out process of ordering my glasses and contacts was very easy. Not only that, but my contacts were ready the day after I ordered them, and my glasses were ready in 6 days!! That was 5 whole days before the promise date. I was so impressed with how fast everything was ready for pickup. I had the best experience, and I can't dream of going anywhere else in the future. read more

Let me first say, I've bought my previous 2 pairs of eyeglasses from Myeyedr in Clermont and was pleased with the results. This time, I believe under new Management, it has been a fiasco. From the receptionist telling me I had to pay for things I knew my insurance was paying for; to asking me to sign papers stating I would still have to pay an additional 1/2 the cost of another pair of frames "if they broke or lost the frames I bought from them" when they sent them to have the lenses made and fitted ... what? First, I had to get my insurance company (which I've used in the past with them) on the phone to explain to them my cost was only a co-pay. Then I had to have the Manager assure me "they" would pay 100% of the cost of the new Oakley frames I paid extra for if "they" broke or lost them. When I was called to pick the completed eyeglasses up, they couldn't find the frames. They only had the lenses and asked me if I had the frames. I then had a discussion with the Manager about why I was reluctant in the first place to sign that waiver before they sent my frames away and that he assured me they would pay 100% if that happened. After searching some more, they did find the frames, but then I had to wait until their Tech fitted in the lenses, because they were sent back separately on two different days; with me hoping they would fit correctly and not pop out in a day or two. When it was all said and done, they did say they were giving me a free replacement guarantee for one year for my troubles, but after walking out, I realized they never gave me any written verification that I had any such guarantee. I guess I'll find that out if I ever have to cross that bridge. I'll never put myself through this fiasco again by going back to Myeyedr in Clermont. It's just not worth it. read more

Sure enough my daughter's appointment was never put in the schedule even though on the phone I asked twice and put it on the calendar, since I had to move things around for the appointment. On Oct 2018 I had my yearly eye exam done and ordered my glasses through Zenni.com cuz I don't have vision ins. I got my new glasses but my vision in the left lens was distorted. I called MyEyeDr & voiced my concerns. The woman says blames Zenni. I told her they were going by the scrip they provided me. She says she has worked in the eye care business many years and it's "ALWAYS" the fault of the "online companies". I then say Im comparing new & old scrip's & the cylinder in left eye is off. It was originally -1.25 & this year it's -.50. I said clearly there is an error that was made in the office. Then the woman back pedals and says "Well it is 50/50." I ask her what that meant & she replies that the numbers are based on half of what the doctor figures and half what I see. So now the woman was implying that it's my fault. She makes a vision re-check appt. Now let me just tell you the Cylinder number on a scrip is measured with a machine called a Keratometer. So the only fault here could be with the machine, yes the machine could be wrong if it's not calibrated correctly & a calibration should be done regularly with these machines for accuracy or it could be human error putting the info into the computer. The Sphere number is where the 50/50 comes into play. I go in today, I have my old & new glasses checked to make sure the scrips are right - they are. She passes me to the tech who conducts all the preliminary testing with the machines. He puts me in front of a machine that measures the curvature of the cornea (Cylinder & Axis) While we wait for the info to download to the computer I bring up the cylinder numbers and he agrees that it seems off and that even though numbers can change for the better it would not be to that extreme. He then adds that if it was a machine or human error that it wasn't intentional. I explain that I understand that and that I'm just here to get it fixed so I can see. I then get taken to an available room and the doctor comes in shortly afterwards. The doctor doesn't dilate my eyes but instead gets right into testing my eyes with the mask like machine with all the lenses. Afterwards she said she adjusted the scrip so it's closer to last years but just a quarter higher. I asked her if the cylinder has been corrected, she says yes. Then I asked her how do I get my lens changed out for my glasses since I already paid $80 for 2 pairs of glasses. She turned to me and in a calm manner with a big smile on her face she said "There isn't anything we can do." I expected them to change out my left lens for free to the right scrip since it was their fault. They have an eye glass store in the office they could have easily done that. She referred me back to Zenni.com and said most online retailers have return policies for situations like this and that I should be able to change it out without problems. I was speechless. She continued, "Unfortunately there's nothing we can do on our part." I say but it was your error... She says, "Well the thing is when we checked you that day that's the numbers we got and that's why we do this for free, you know have you come back in and recheck the vision but as far as... like I said any other place you got glasses... Im sure they will allow that." No apology, never admitted fault, no help to resolve issue, thought I should be grateful for not paying for re-check when it was their fault.
