I made an appointment on a Friday and they got me in the following week on Thursday and they removed the mole same day and it was quick and they take my insurance. I so wish I could rate this place a zero. If you're on Accutane or have Medicaid: RUN. This office got me locked out of iPledge by dragging their feet on labs then made me wait 30 days just to restart. After that? They rescheduled my next appointment an hour before it was supposed to happen and pushed me out another 25 days. That delay could've gotten me locked out again. No urgency. No accountability. Worse, they refused to send a proper prior auth for hospital-based labs, even after I gave them everything they needed. I begged for help for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and downright discriminatory once I pushed back. Then they had the nerve to charge me a $50 no-show fee even though I'm a Medicaid patient (and no, you can't legally do that). I filed formal complaints with the Florida Department of Health and Medicaid. This place treats low-income patients like garbage. Advanced Dermatology should be ashamed of how this location is run. read more

This company is a ripoff. I went in for a consultation and was told that I needed surgery. I paid for that consultation. I then went in for the actual surgery. I sat down in the chair and the Dr. came in. He said that he couldn't do the surgery and I had to go somewhere else. I then left. I was charged for an office visit. When I refused to pay, they sent me out for collections. I contacted my insurance and they told me that technically, because I went into the office, it was an office visit. I've been a patient here for 5 plus years. Love Brook Drew. Got a text last week telling me they had an earlier appointment for me for May 1st at 2:15 instead of May 8th. I hit the button & it said confirmed & put it on my Google calendar! I show up today at 2:15 & they told me that app doesn't work right & it didn't change my appointment! NOT HAPPY! I rearranged my entire day to be there at 2:15. Since I had a free half hour or so, it gave me time to write review! Don't use new technology if it isn't gonna work right! People have lives & schedules too! I personally should have been squeezed in, since it was only for a skin check up! But NOPE, Going back tomorrow morning & have to see someone I've never met & I hate that! I'm a 2xs breast cancer survivor & I don't like to show all my scars to new Man Dr. Brook Drew knows me & her own Mother is a survivor, so I have great repor & trust her!!! read more

My friend came in for a cyst removal. It was quick and easy. The place looks pristine. If you can, get Brooke. She tended to my friend who's scared of needles and she was very compassionate. She thoroughly explained the procedure and we were out in half an hour. She had excellent bedside manners. Highly recommend. read more

Friendly staff and enjoyed my visit but AWFUL billing department. Front desk staff overcharged me for my treatment and it's been over 4 months now and several calls requesting a refund with still no resolution. If I had the time I'd stop by in person but haven't found the time yet. It's really such a shame that customer care in the billing dept isn't better because I'd continue coming here otherwise. PA Brooke is great. Constant messaging is horrible and I had to turn off all messaging from Advanced Dermatology the company that runs Florida Skin Center. I bet I received one text a day for 10 days before my appointment with 3 texts asking me to fill out pre visit questionaire even after I had filled it out. The rest of the year it's probably a text or email every week or two. read more

Excellent from start to finish. Very professional, clean and well maintained office. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. No wait at all. The PA. And supporting staff were kind, thorough and professional. They did not try to upsell me, which is wonderful. Although everything on my skin was fine medically, I asked them to remove a small bump in a bad place. They explained everything about the procedure and proceeded to remove. The women at the front desk were awesome. Upbeat, inviting, & friendly. However my visit with the nurse/provider weren't so great. I was seen by Brooke. She greeted me quickly and got to business. She wasn't quit rude but definitely not inviting. The visit seemed rushed. I could tell she was busy but for a patient spending 980$ out of pocket self pay- id like a little bit more of an explanation of what she saw, took biopsies of, & aftercare of what to do. I though I would change dermatologists that was closer to where I live. My first appointment the P.A. removed 5 suspected skin cancers from my back and one from my forearm. After the procedure I was informed that they did not have a dermatologist at this location in Cape Coral that did Mohs surgery. Wrapping up, my wounds were covered with bandaids including the one on my forearm which began bleeding through as soon as I got home. I was told the biopsy's were being sent out and the results would be back the following week. I began rethinking my choice of skin care centers and decided to look for another one where a dermatologist actually worked. I found one also in the Cape and stopped in to ask questions. I was satisfied with what I found and was told to go to my next appointment and ask to sign a release of my records and for them to fax a copy of records including biopsy's. I went to my appointment as scheduled and was seen by the same P.A. who looked at all my wounds then began telling me what the next step should be. It turns out all of the cancers the P.A. removed required additional removal and would need to be stitched up. Now I have been seeing dermatologists, plastic surgeons, P.A.'s, for more than twenty years. I have had at least 100 skin cancers removed from all over my body, some minor some very serious, but I have never had a P.A. remove a number of skin cancers and ALL of them come back positive! requiring additional treatments. Well I told the P.A. today thank you, but would no longer be coming to this skin center and needed my records sent to another. They acknowledged my request and had me sign a release, said goodbye, AND CHARGED ME $40.00 CO-PAY for assuring me my wounds were not infected! Two $40.00 co-pays in a week for what should have been a follow up is ridiculous. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this skin center. read more

I have been seeing dermatologists off and on for 30+ years for various issues -- FSC is hands down the best. From the moment you walk through the door you feel like an old friend. Everyone there from the knowledgeable, smiling, extremely friendly receptionists to the techs to the providers are amazing! The facility itself is immaculate and very calming. You have the opportunity to get coffee, water or juice before going into the exam room, the techs listen to every single concern and make sure they are all addressed when the provider walks in. Made an appointment for a skin check at the Florida Skin Care center. I unfortunately had to cancel last minute due to illness. The receptionist was extremely kind and understanding and they were able to reschedule me the following week. The facility is large, immaculate, and spa-like with essential oil diffusers and coffee/water offered. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I didn't have to wait long before being taken to the exam room. The staff I saw back there were also extremely kind. They were patient and accommodating as my toddler and infant were in the appointment as well and even did my skin check around me holding my fussing infant. They were thorough and addressed all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this office! read more

I am completely disgusted with the billing dept. I have called, I have sent two emails with no response. I received a statement with a total dollar amount due. I paid the entire amount and now received a statement telling me I owe more!! And no where does it show my original payment but it was cashed. Talk about taking advantage of senior citizens!! I paid at the counter at first visit, I sent what I was told was the balance and now they want to get more out of me. Do not go there, seniors beware. read more

I have no problem with the people in the front; they are always friendly and courteous. My problem is with whoever is in charge of the phone messages. I called on Friday to clarify the directions of an Rx and was asked to leave my name, etc. It said that calls after 3:00 would be returned the next day. When I left my information, I verified the time as 1:29. As I was in Urgent Care today, Monday, I received a call from FSC telling me that the wrong directions were given. So, I went all weekend not taking enough antibiotics. The doctor at Urgent Care cleaned up the area, took out the stitches, found more of the cyst not taken out, cleaned that out, and called in another Rx. She told me to keep my follow-up appointment at FSC; I'll be seeing if I return for anything else then. read more
