Just about every review for this practice looking back years is one star. So I am going to throw in another one. The first thing is the staff who do not communicate with each other or the doctors. All you can do is leave a message and hope someone returns it. Takes days to get a call back. Found out this practice has been bought and sold twice and now is owned by a big corporation. So you are only a chart number. I have been dealing with this office for almost 3 months now because of a catheter issue for my husband. The incompetence of the staff is beyond unbelievable. My husband has been hospitalized twice now and has a massive infection from the overuse of catheters from the hospital and the practice. What should have been a simple procedure has turned out to be so complicated at the cost of his health and pocket book. The health system is broke but at this point what are the fixes. read more

While I have seen Dr Bilik for several years, and while I think he is an outstanding urologist, the new practice is terrible. It is difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. Just today, at 4:18pm, I received a recorded message that my upcoming appointment had to be changed. I called back immediately and the message was that my call would be answered in 42 minutes, or the time when their office closed. I never expected anyone to answer but hung on the call for 50 minutes, after their closing time to make my point. And as expected no one ever answered. This is not an isolated incident either. The practice has gone downhill since SunState took over. Dr Bilik is superb, but it is a shame he's now affiliated with this group. His careful and caring nature is a far cry from the attitude of the administrative office. read more

I try so hard to like these people. I have been dealing with a serious problem for three months. My last appointment was with a PA that couldn't make a decision. A month later, I meet with Dr. Borgano. Today I get a call that it won't be available. I called the office and left nothing behind. They say I can go to the patient portal. OK... where's the portal. The doctor I saw last time was fine. The issue is staff. I called and the voicemail was full. I called again and was told to leave a message. After a couple of days I was called back and was offered an appointment in over two months. I asked if I could get anything sooner as this was a rather urgent need. She said that she would check with the nurse and call me back. That has been about a week. They are either under staffed or don't care. Stay away. First appt. Doctor was over an hour late at 9:30 AM. Had to wait FIVE months for tests only to be cancelled. Left message to reschedule soon as I am moving. ZERO response. UPDATE: Received phone message today to reschedule. Call the 941-309-7000 number goes to voicemail AGAIN. Mailbox full, so you cannot leave a message. The doctors are great. The scheduling and everything else is terribe. I had back to back appointments which they cancele. When I reschedule, I was told after the procedure I would see the docto. However, my second appointment was scheduled one and a half hours after the first appointment which that's not what I was told. Really doesn't matter what kind of review you give this office because as you can see there's the rating it's awful but they continue to do the same thing over and over and over again. The bad thing is if it is, there's not a lot of doctors in the area. read more

They said my referred doctor doesn't take new patients anymore, despite hearing from others that he still does one particularly simple procedure that I needed. Whatever. I asked if another doctor would perform the procedure, and they can't even find my referral. Now I either have to get another referral or just call my insurance company to find someone else on network. This time I will find a practice that actually answers the phone and is happy to take new patients. read more

Apparently this practice does not care about the patients time. It's the second visit that I had an appointment and waited 2 1/2 hours for the doctor to see me, and he appeared he didn't care. If you value your time go somewhere else. To top it off when I finished with the Dr. no one was in the waiting room to take our paper work. read more

My experience so far has been MORE THAN very disappointing. My husband had to undergo emergency surgery at SMH Main Campus, and Dr. Bilik was the on-call urologist. While I'm sure he's a competent and kind doctor, his office staff has been TOTALLY frustratingly unresponsive. It's been 22 days since the procedure, and my husband still has a stent in his ureter with no follow-up call. I had to drive down to the office twice (the first time, was 1/2/25 and they were still closed from the holidays) to make an appointment. Unfortunately, this occurred over the holidays, but the lack of communication is unacceptable. Their patient care is severely lacking, and it feels like no one is taking responsibility. Dr. Bilik is apparently the only one who can remove the stent, but getting in touch with him or anyone in his office has been a nightmare. If you have a choice, I highly recommend seeking out a practice that values patient care and communication. We are extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with this office. read more

I called Friday at 11:00 trying to schedule a surgical consult for my 94 yr old mother. Ended up leaving a message on the third go around with their phone message system. They go to lunch for 12 -1pm daily, so no surprise they did nit call back before lunch. However it is now the following Monday, end of day and still no call back. I found another MD office that called me back the same day. Shop around. i wouldn't trust my Mom to an office where staff doesn't return calls. read more

This group is so badly managed it must be avoided. Instructions dont appear at the hospital, scheduling procedures is impossible, noone ever calls you back, the doctors have no idea what the staff is doing because the staff doesnt know what it is doing. Ive been a patient for years. It wasnt always this way. Even if you have to travel go someplace better. read more

I would hate to be a doctor for this managed care company. We had delays to see our urologist for a serious issue while in hospital - could not understand why. Then, first out patient follow up, found out why. These doctors are severely overbooked. My wife and I took off work for a 4:00 appointment, the waiting area was small, cramped, and standing room only - we were shocked - guessing between 50-75 people. At 4:30 I was called up to provide id /insurance and told they were behind with 5 people in front of me with the recommendation we reschedule. Interesting enough, she said the 5 people would take 1:15 minutes, so 15 minutes a patient. Now all became clear - these docs are not being given enough time to handle their patients; very irresponsible. We are looking for a new urologist care provider. read more

My husband sees Dr Bilik as had my Dad. He is an excellent Dr. both have had successful surgeries. Sadly whoever manages the support staff does a HORRIBLE job. Non one returns calls, especially Tommy the surgery scheduler, she actually forgot to get the Insurance approval before his surgery in March which set my husband back 6 months in his treatment. We even showed up at the hospital at 5:30am to be told that the surgery was cancelled! We waited an hour & a half yesterday for a follow up appt. for a Post Op appt. Why isn't anyone reaching out to the patients who travel far distances to alert patients that the Dr is running this late? We finally gave up at 5:30PM and rescheduled the POST OP appt! I'm sure some of the staff are wonderful people, and the Drs. are Top Notch but after this last appointment my husband wants to find another Urologist. I've been a patient of Dr Williams for over 25 years and that ended today. He's a good guy, but I had a scheduled appointment with him today that had been made months ago, but received a phone call a couple of hours prior and was told I would be seeing a different doctor. Took time away from work and arrived early to find a waiting room with about 40 people and no seats left, and with everyone forced to wear a mask. After 1 1/2 hours I gave up and left. Asked them to reverse the charges on my card, but they said that would take 8 weeks. Planning to dispute the charges with the cc company. And that brings up another point: What kind of doctors office charges you BEFORE services are rendered? STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! read more

Doctors are fine....but this is the worst managed medical practice i have ever experienced. Packed waiting room with insufficient social distancing in time of Covid. Unresponsive to any phone message, and most often no human answers the phone so you have no choice but to leave a voice mail that is mostly ignored by the staff. Even messages left for the nurse get no attention. (Wanna laugh? A staff person told me not to waste my time phoning.....better just to show up in person if I have a question or need to change an appointment.) As a 60 YE male with blood in my urine, getting help is very important. These people don't get what customer service is about, tried to set up an appointment because a few guys at the club recommended Dr Green. I only give two stars because some of the staff care and are really good. As for others, not so much. Scheduling for example is really bad. You can't talk to someone when you call. They want you to leave a message with contact information and they are supposed to call you back and never do. Pathetic. As for the doctors there was one that was trying sell me on something related to men's health that not related to my problem. Come to find out he left and opened his own men's health practice. Poor office experience. I have been trying to schedule a follow up appt for 2 weeks now for my sig other. There is no way to schedule on line and the website states to call. When I called the prompts stated there was a 5 min wait. After waiting 10 min call disconnected. This happened on multiple occasions over the past 2 wks. This is very frustrating. If I go to the ED they will only tell me to f/u with my doctor which is impossible as one cannot get through to anyone. I live at least 45 min away or else I would show up in person to schedule. This is not acceptable and the worst customer service I have seen even for Florida standards. Please advise. read more

This office is a drill and bill office - do NOT recommend. The office had a huge line of people to check in and check out and no social distancing to be seen. Dr. Bergamo has no empathy and no bedside manner, I cannot recommend him as he did nothing to treat my mother's ongoing issues and while he suggested a next step for my mother and said his nurse would call us with a suggested new physician to see - we still haven't heard back and it's almost 3 weeks later - that's typical of this office. I have left numerous messages and my calls haven't been returned. Please don't frequent this office - it's all about billing insurance and not patient care. read more

To say this office staff is "terrible" is a more than kind word. They never answer the telephone. Every type of call is directed to somebody's voicemail, and they never return the call. This is day 6 of waiting for a call back from Dr. Bergamo's staff regarding a serious issue. Multiple messages have been left pleading for a response from someone. They have no sense of urgency or compassion. If your doctor refers you to this group do yourself a favor and ask for another urologist. The doctors may be good, but you can't get in touch with them because you have to go thru their office staff first. The office staff is their frontline, and they are totally incompetent. It took a long time to get a consultation appointment for my husband, which I get can be normal. Then when he got in the exam room there was a another patient's urine sample left on the counter and a tube of opened KY Jelly. Dr. Tingle had no bedside manner and did more harm than good while speaking with my husband. read more

YOU ARE FIRED! With cause. About two weeks ago I saw Dr. Bergamo for pain and a UTI. I had already treated the UTI with antibiotics, but knew from my past I needed surgery. Bergamo agreed and said the surgery center would contact me within a few days. No contact. I have called repeatedly. I have left message after message. NO RETURN CALLS. The office staff is both overwhelmed and rude. Pitiful. Take your business elsewhere. Notice that they get TERRIBLE reviews. Do you really want to go to these doctors? Because the BUCK STOPS WITH THE PRACTITIONERS. If they don't care enough about their patients to see that their surgeries are scheduled, that their pain is dealt with in a timely fashion? Absolutely horrible experience with this practice. Background context: I am a student visiting from Boston and I chose to use the services of this clinic to have my procedure for Testopel performed. It was supposed to be done close to a month ago, but due to both them, their specialty pharmacy, and my health insurance, I still have yet to receive the medical care I need. I'm already over a month into the process of all my paperwork and insurance, and beyond low on my hormone levels. Although the waiting room was busy, I was seen on time, both for the initial interview by a staff person, and by Dr. Williams. Dr. Williams was cordial, warm, and very helpful.
