When we first arrived, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. From the outside, it almost looked like a collection of warehouses covered in murals, and I wasn't immediately impressed. The moment we stepped inside, though, my opinion completely changed. The entrance is beautifully designed, with a cozy lounge area, a bright yellow chair, tiered seating filled with colorful artistic pillows, and so many creative details to admire. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at the front desk, which made us feel welcome right away. The museum begins with a small contemporary art gallery and a stylish café/bar area. It has a very artistic atmosphere. It looked like the café is still being finished, as the bar wasn't fully set up yet, but I can already imagine how great it will be once completed. Even the restroom sinks caught my attention--they're a work of art on their own! Then the real adventure begins. Walking into the darker rooms filled with neon lights felt like stepping into another world. Every room is completely different and feels like its own immersive art installation. There are so many interactive spaces that encourage you to explore, play, and take your time. My younger daughter absolutely loved the room filled with giant strawberry desserts, while my older daughter couldn't get enough of the interactive gaming area. There is also a creative room where visitors can draw, and it was a huge hit with the kids. My favorite installation was a room designed to look like a small neighborhood shop where every single item was handmade from fabric by a group of five women. As someone who studied art and clothing design, including sewing, I know how much patience, precision, and skill goes into work like this. I found myself admiring every tiny detail, every perfectly sewn stitch, and all the incredible craftsmanship. It was truly inspiring, and I have so much respect for the artists who created it. The only downside was a very strong musty smell in parts of the museum. It was noticeable throughout our visit and took away a little from the overall experience. I hope it's something temporary that can be fixed, because this place is incredibly creative and deserves to be enjoyed without that distraction. FloridaRAMA is full of surprises. It may not look like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors, you enter a world of imagination, creativity, and pure art. We ended up spending much longer there than we expected, and both kids and adults had an amazing time. What an amazing time at FloridaRAMA! I've visited St. Pete many times and have always meant to check this place out. So, when a friend suggested it, I knew we had to go. Check-in was simple and fast, and the staff couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful. The experience itself was so much fun! We had the best time navigating the exhibits and making our way through the maze or everything Florida, both old and new. Our absolute favorite spot was life-sized garden. The sheer creativity that the artists had to have to make this place come to life, was just fascinating. We also loved the gift shop on the way out; it features so many wonderful local artists, so of course, we had to pick up a few treats to take home. This place is truly a St. Pete treasure. Personally I feel like FloridaRAMA is a once and done type of experience, but there are multiple immersive "games" you could choose as add-ons, such as scavenger hunts. I booked on Groupon for a better rate and it came with the bird scavenger hunt which made the experience more fun. However, the diagram of the bird locations wasn't accurate in some areas which was a little frustrating. Some updates to the map could help. Overall, this place is good for those that love vibrant, colorful art. Plan to spend around an hour or less here. I don't think FloridaRAMA is a must-do for the St. Petersburg area, but if you have extra time to kill, stopping by here wouldn't hurt. read more

This was a fun art museum/collection of exhibits. Very eclectic and unusual with lots of little themed rooms/alcoves to wander through. We were here with a large group of family we hadn't seen in awhile so we didn't get to explore for as long or as in-depth as we would normally. That being said this is not a large place, so I encourage you to take your time in each space and really let your eyes explore. There is so much to take in and so many interesting details. I would say this place isn't for everyone. It's definitely more funky and unusual than what most people imagine when they hear it's an art exhibit. That being said, it's a great place to just meander, let your mind wander, and get some good Instagram shots. And apparently you can reserve some beach chairs to "picnic" in front of the panorama screen? So cute! Which leads me to... This is a great place to go for a date, especially a first date (great conversation starters!), and it's also a good place to go when you've pretty much done and seen it all in town. Went to this place for my birthday since I figured, "why not? this place looks fun and i love that its interactive!" Since it was my bday, i got a fun little bday scavenger hunt along with the lucky duck hunt we signed up for. I think this place is totally worth the $35-$40ish per person thats with the scavenger hunt especially if you go with people who will also appreciate it!! I went a few years ago and brought a friend on a rainy day when we couldn't go to the beach as planned. If you go with kids (and maybe even if you're all adults), the add-on scavenger hunts are worth it. You're already shelling out for the ticket, the games aren't much more, and greatly enhance the experience. Our kids would have been done in 15 minutes but we stayed an hour and a half with the game package. They searched for symbols and solved riddles while the grown ups did most of the bird watching. Upon solving the symbol puzzle, the kids had a long dance party in the Twister spaceship. It was a blast and saved our rainy day. The installations are very entertaining and very Florida. 3.5 is more accurate.... I attended this with a friend of mine and it was fairly expensive for about an hour's worth of entertainment. It was also difficult to locate. We ended up going into a few different places before stumbling on it. There are some great opportunities for photos and the staff was helpful. It was just short and hard to find and the best part was the little felt store in the back by the artist Lucy Sparrow. It was really quite impressive. If you are looking for a good photo spot, this is it but don't expect to spend more than about an hour in here. read more

After hearing about FloridaRAMA online, my friends and I headed out for a day trip to St. Pete. We have been to MeowWolf before, so we knew to expect a building full of art installations. What we found at FloridaRAMA blew us away. We spent a few hours wandering through the rooms (a few times), discovering all of the details, enjoying the sights, and taking pictures. If you like unique art, this place is for you! If you experience sensory overload easily, there are some calmer spots to rest in. Sunglasses also may be helpful to have since some rooms are light displays. Overall, I highly recommend adding this experience to your day trip itinerary! This is not your average art museum. It is an interactive gallery with plenty of ways to enjoy yourself. We went on a Sunday around 4 pm and it was such a phenomenal experience. It was our first time visiting and it was super easy to purchase tickets online. Once we got there, the workers in the front were super insightful and helpful in helping us to choose a hunt to add on to our visit. We ended up choosing Pepe's Plight which is a hunt where you are solving riddles in order to find gold coins around the different exhibits. It was challenging and exciting. The best part is that there are many activities to choose from each time you visit so it's not a one and done. We had a blast and definitely plan to be back especially because unfortunately we did not get to visit the record store like we had planned to as they closed earlier than we anticipated. This place is what my dreams are made of! When I found them online I knew we had to go check it out and I am SO glad we did. It's quirky, unique, fun, beautiful and immersive in every aspect! We walked around for about an hour and a half looking at everything and enjoying the interactive aspect of this unique art exhibit. I loved every second of it and highly recommend you made the trip from anywhere to see this hidden gem! It's in an awesome warehouse with a record store and art gallery and is absolutely worth exploring. I sent it to so many friends saying we have to go back because I loved it that much! There are so many interactive parts, they also have scavenger hunts and other things to make your experience unique. Visited this Museum 3/18/26 @ around 12:30pm The museum was fine but there was an incident in the gift shop leaving. My son tripped and reached out to brace himself on a shelf that was not secured. The shelf fell down and landed on some art covered in plastic that was filed in like they were records below the shelf. The guy at the register ran over and was freaking out over the art the shelf landed on ignoring the possibility that my son could of been seriously hurt. He never looked at me or my son and only showing concern over his precious gift shop art. He mumbles we need a manager out here over and over. Someone does come out but they look awkward and leave. Then a lady comes out and does not talk to me either. The register guy that is mumbling about his art proceeds to charge me full price for 2 of the art works. Since my 2 sons and wife are with me i end up storing all the rage inside and paying for the art which cost me $75. Yes i could of just left. I also love that the exhibits rotate with various local artists - it showcases the talent that St Petersburg has and it encourages attendees to visit more than once. The art itself was great. However, I went with my grandkids and once we were given the paper for the scavenger hunts, we were sent on our way with no explanation for each hunt. Yes, there were brief instructions on the paper, but when they say "here you go, have fun" the kids were off (one paper for the entire group). So we were halfway thru before we realized we were collecting the wrong information. That was a little frustrating. Also, I signed up for three different hunts, not really knowing what each one was or how long they would take. So we only got done with one before we were tired and wanted to go. Really enjoyed our visit to FloridaRAMA (the new name). Greeted warmly at the counter, watched a quick little intro video, then we were released into the arena. Several little areas to explore as part of the immersive experience. They could use a little better signage as driving in off the main street we werent sure if we were in the right place, or where the parking should have been located. Once we were in it was an amazing experience! Loved the strawberry room (that smelled like strawberries), the indian inspired room with mirror frames, and the spinning fishes. Paid $85 for a date experience for my fiancé's 27th birthday. Showed up once they opened and they told us that they are "closed for a private event" despite it not being listed on the website and them happily taking my money without informing us. They said we have to email their customer support for a refund. Nice but what about the birthday that's now ruined? The week I have to wait for the refund? We've been planning to visit Floridarama for awhile now, now we'll be telling everyone to stay away. Luckily we're locals! Absolutely livid about this, ruined my fiancé's birthday. Don't spend your money buying tickets here, you might as well light your money on fire- they are just about the same thing. Edit: Im editing this because I never heard back from Floridarama. They have ignored my copious emails and have yet to process a refund. They took my $85, denied us entry, then ignored all of our emails for a refund despite having an automated email that says they'll be back to you "within 36 hours." It's been 3 days and that doesn't include how long it'll take to get a refund. Absolutely ridiculous. I am warning everyone of this place as much as I possibly can to anyone and everyone, we're St.Pete locals so we have plenty of people to tell! I would give zero stars if I could. read more

We were staying in St Pete for a PhD Graduation and needed an activity to keep the Kids and Adults entertained while waiting for the stormy weather to clear. FloridaRama, which is also located in St. Pete, checked all our boxes! Super quick and fast to purchase online tickets for same day entrance to the Exhibition. There is FREE street parking although you may have to circle a few times. This was our first time at an eclectic Art Museum represented by local Artists in an interactive environment. We were not sure what to expect. It WAS a totally COOL experience! Upon entering, our Group tried to stay together but we were all drawn to different exhibits and ended up going in different directions. No worries, there is a central meeting place located in the exhibit. There is an option to find clues amongst the several exhibits in order to solve a mystery puzzle. We let the Kids figure that one out while my husband and I just roamed back and forth, in and out and sideways. Super entertaining for a few hours until the showers pass and the sun returns! BTW, they have dippin dots as a special treat in the Gift Shop. A must have. read more
