An update as of December 2025, I am still going through hell after what Mona at Floss Family Dentistry did to me. She put my original healing cap back on about 7 months ago. I started seeing a specialist as of August 2025. The specialist was unable to remove the screw because Mona stripped it and if he tried he risked damaging the whole implant. He sent me back to my oral surgeon who also couldn't get it off and even broke his tool trying. He said if it doesn't come off I'll need a whole new procedure and we want to avoid that but it might be the only option. The screw was badly stripped. He sent me back to the specialist to try using an ultrasonic tool, again he couldn't get it off, he said the screw looks like it was drilled in out of anger. I did tell both of the specialists she was very upset when she put it back in. She was very upset that she did all that work incorrectly and didn't make any money off of it. I have a long road ahead of me. I hope the least I can do it save others from this hell. Another thing, when I used to see Floss Family Dentistry I told Mona my tooth was chipped, she filed it, all she does is file and drill, she doesn't actually look. I have a new dentist now and I told him about the chip and I told him my previous dentist said there was nothing there. He put a camera on it and it was so clear, my filling had a large chip, it was so big all she had to do was look. Even I saw it right away from the camera picture. I have no idea what is going on with this place. Constantly making me feel like I was crazy and imagining things. You are a dentist and should know how to be one. Even with this whole implant mess, I was telling her for about a year that something was wrong with my tooth and it took her about a year to send me to an endodontist. I feel like there could have been a chance to save my tooth but that was gone because she never took my issue seriously and would tell me nothing is there and nothing is wrong. I put way too much trust in her and I regret it so much. Big lesson learned but now I'm paying the price for it. read more

This dentist owner of family floss is very dentist is dishonest. Unprofessional, and spiteful. What I disliked the most she couldn't see the cavity I showed her. She decided to reduce my filling in tooth #3 She drilled old filling out, she was too cheap to fill it and press down. She left the center of my tooth empty. A few moths later my tooth started falling apart. I would never go to her. She had evil look in her eyes. It almost felt the devil was living in her. She didn't like that I said God bless you. Dr Mona of Floss Family Dentistry is an outstanding five (5) star dentist. Over the years, i've visited many dentists (& periodontists); only three dentists have been outstanding (out of about 16 good-to-excelling & two not-so-good) dentists. Dr Mona is one of my top3. The staff at Floss Family Dentistry is friendly, caring & efficient. For me, it's well worth to travel about half an hour to Morgan Hill thru beautiful country (i.e do not take 101!). My recent issue was new partials versus implants; the latter required a removal of an embedded root. After a detailed discussion, the former was decided. This was my first time bringing my son to this dentistry. I am very happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff also work performed. I schedule the appointment on a certain date and my fault I showed up a week before my scheduled appointment, they where kind enough to fit us in and attend us. Thankful for that. Dr Mona is an amazing dentist. Not only is she patient with explaining the entire process, but also very thorough on what steps I need to take in order to sustain good teeth/gum health. Man I hate to go to the dentist, I have had three different dentists in the past few years, each time I have had different dentists tell me different things, and end up adding other charges. I dislike having to write these types of reviews. But i have too. We have only been once and had a good experience. They then scheduled my husband for every 4 months even after he told them no only what the insurance will cover (which is every 6 months), then called to confirm said 4 month appointment to which i had to tell them again, no thanks do you have anything in 2 months. Then to this week, i found a tooth that had cracked, so i called Monday (they are closed) left a message, called Tuesday left a message around 2:15 pm. No return call It is now Thursday and i have called another Dentist in the area to change providers! I don't see any reason why they can't call a client back for any medical need. read more

One of the best experiences I have had at the dentist. The staff was friendly and helpful. They remember you by name, and always ask how the rest of my family is doing. They keep great records of my teeth and take time to explain areas I need to focus on when I brush. It is easy to make changes to appointments as well. My kids actually like going there since there is a cute little play area in the back for them to play while they are waiting, and they love Dr. Lea who is wonderful with children. read more

At Floss Family Dental I've had my teeth whitened and was extremely pleased with their knowledge, explanation of each step, the cleanliness of their office and highly professional staff. I recently had a very comprehensive annual exam, cleaning and X-rays with included actual photos...well beyond what I'd experienced with my prior dentist of 35 years. Dr. T seemed nice at first; that's before I realized I was overcharged and misinformed. Fraudulent services (I was there twice and I was charged for 3 visits). The dentist was pushy about getting financing; the hygienist Brenda was abrasive (ridiculously forceful and negligent with the water suction tube) and the receptionist Joyce doesn't like explaining the charges showing up on your billing statement (possibly because they overcharge for services that you don't need, don't ask for your permission to do the services, and then charge you for visits you didn't have). In short, do yourself a favor and find a dentist who cares about you and your teeth, and not about racking in all your $$ as soon as possible. read more

We changed our Dentist this year as I do not like feeling pressured into different treatments in cosmetic issues. It's OK to mention my options, but not call me at home several times to find out if I have changed my mind. I have not felt this here in this dental office. As a matter of fact, the issues the other dentist said he couldn't fix without about an $8,000 expense, the dentist here saw it right away and just fixed it. I didn't have to say a thing, and my insurance covered it :) The feeling there is relaxing and low key and definitely patient friendly, I feel we finally made a good choice.
