So after I was stopped by Upper Dublin cops for drawing a license plate & being arrested, handcuffed, mug shot and fingerprinted. The Sunoco in Flourtown towed my car. So since I had to pay a lot for a lawyer I was told by many people that " they are gonna sell ur car right from under you". I've waited all my life for my Dodge Challenger v6. When I called the guy said " no we would never sell your car". He was very pleasant and curious He took my number and said his manager will call me tomorrow. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews because they have been very kind to me. Anyway I think I will get engine work done here. We will see how they treat this "dumb" real blonde. Don't con people into full service pump for an extra dollar a gallon. Let people know they have an option to NOT use fuel service pumps.

I've gone for a routine service twice and always left with sticker shock and bad customer service from start to finish. With the exception of the young lady and kids they have working the front desk, all the guys/mechanics I've spoken to are rude, pompous, and lack professionalism. They charged me $550 for a tow. They said they used special equipment because of it not going into gear but I have video of me putting into drive . That charge was $95. A labor charge of $135. Shouldn't that be included in the tow for $150? Oil dry for $30 and there wasn't any oil . $50 for an extra person . It was a minor fender bender and $50 storage per day and I had it out with 2 hours . read more

If you need a tow for any size veh or truck give them a call. Storage fees are high tho. Never had repairs done here. Nice friendly crew.

Called them for a simple inspection and told asked if i could bring it in the next day and if it would be done before 4pm as that's when I get out of work, they tell me sure no problem. I drop it off at 7am and ask again to make sure it will be done by 4pm they say yes definitely. I call at 3pm to as they have not called to give me any info so I show up at 4pm and of course it's not done they tell me they are working on it, and it will be done in an hour. They call me at 5pm and say it still isn't done and they will let me know so by 6pm I walk back over to the place, and it's finally done an 11-hour inspection. Also the whole time i keep trying to figure out what's going on and no one could answer they just keep trying to toss blame around until they finally try blaming me somehow for it taking so long. read more

I can only say that I spoke to Matt @ Flourtown Sunoco & he made my day! I have a Mercedes & they did NOT respond to the 800 # I was given for emergency assistance! The next day Matt came to my home to tow the vehicle to the dealership. He was prompt & most courteous! Got a price to move a storage container about six miles, but after they arrived at the destination with the container they added $200 to the price claiming it took a lot longer than they thought it would, which was a bald-faced lie. It's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. One that won't take advantage of the uninformed car owner and tack on a few hundred bucks for the ubiquitous new brake rotor. I've had brake rotors, pads and drums explained to me time and time again, and i still can't really remember which one is the really expensive replacement. (I think it's the rotor.) Anyway, finding a good mechanic that does the job for a fair price and in a timely fashion is quite a feat. I'm proud to say that I found such a mechanic at Flourtown Sunoco. His name is Rich and he's honest and his prices are upfront and fairly reasonable. I have a 2005 Saab 9-3 and the dealership nearby is criminal in it's hourly labor charge. $109! What am I, Sumner Redstone? You may fool the rich yahoos from Huntingdon Valley with those prices but not this hardscrabble sort from funky Erdenheim. The Sunoco is much cheaper and he gets his parts from the Saab dealership. So while the parts might be the same price (of course, after market is cheaper), his labor is like half. Plus, you don't get the Starbucks coffee machine/"free" rental dog and pony show the dealership gives you. The car is ready a few hours later and that's that. Oh, as a bonus, he even works on my 1970 Triumph TR-6. Most mechanics are super scared working on old cantankerous British roadsters, but he's fearless. Anyway, if you live in the area and need a good, honest mechanic....Flourtown Sunoco is a very good choice. read more

If I could rate these guys 0 stars, I would. They towed my car after it was involved in rear collision accident, and caused additional damage to the front bumper. My car was purchased brand new, less than a year old, and had zero damage to the bumper prior to their tow. When I attempted to get their insurance information so I could file a claim, they refused to comply. Matt claimed that since the damage was not visible from above the bumper, that there was nothing he could do about it. They are dishonorable, and did not handle the situation as gentlemen. Let me say straight off that I am a very skilled mechanic myself. I have a bachelors in Aviation Maintenance Technology. I know how to spot a healthy shop and good work and I know immediately when a mechanic is trying to BS me, however fixing my car/bike/truck is one of my least favorite activities. This is why I don't do my own maintenance unless I absolutely have to. That said, The Flourtown Sunoco on Bethlehem Pike, across from Wawa, is one of the best repair shops in the greater Philadelphia area. Rich is honest and and will tell it to you straight with no embroidery. His estimates are dead accurate, his labor rates are really good, and the work is top quality. I had my shocks replaced as well as my front gas tank in my 95 F150 and the attention to detail and quality have been consistently very good. Here is my example: when I had to get my shocks replaced, I shopped around for the best labor quotes. I already had new Bilstein HD shocks from tirerack.com, I was just looking to get them installed. I was quoted from $150-$175 for all four shocks. The bill including tax came to $161.17 and it was done by 4:00 that day. As long as you are willing to drop your car off early morning or the preceding day, you'll have it back that day. Do your self a favor and give this guy your business, the only way he'll stick around is if we support him. read more

On June 28th; 2019 I was on my route in the Flourtown area. I was at my next to last stop; when I got a flat in my RF tire. It was approximately 2:50 in the afternoon and about ninety degrees outside. Called Flourtown Sunoco and explained the situation. They told me all their drivers were on the road; and the ETA would be about an hr. I was expecting more like 1.5 - 2 hrs.; and I wasn't going anywhere on a flat. About a half hour later; Mark showed up; got my service vehicle on the tow truck; and drove to the Flourtown Sunoco. It turned out to be 2 punctures on a six month old tire. Back on the road by 4 pm. On Saturday 4-7-12, I needed two tires replaced. All though the supply houses do not deliver tires on Saturdays, the Flourtown Sunoco staff took it upon themselves to go pick-up the tires I needed. They could have easily told me to come back on Monday but they furnished the extra effort to get me back and on the road. I called and asked them to tow my car, and they towed it within the same day, even when it was snowing to the right place. However, I also told them where my car-sitting friend had hid the key, but instead of looking for it, they just towed my car without the key, and then the key got lost. I had given them my phone number and my friend's if they couldn't find the key, but they didn't call. I was out of town at that time, and asked them if they could go back to the site to look for the key, since it was the only key in the area at the time, and my mechanic needed it to move the car out of the snow in his lot, but they refused to help me even though they were responsible for the lost key. I also asked to speak to the person in charge, Tom Maloney, and 2 of them said that they'd have him call me back. He never called me back. read more

Terrible service! You would think you could trust a place that is run by a family friend. No not the case. Brought the car in because check engine light was on and it needed an inspection. 2 months later and $1000 in the check engine light is still on, and now interior lights don't work, radio is broken (buttons fell off "magically"), and trunk open light won't go off. Do not take your car here for any service!!! They do not explain with you what work they have done so how are you to know anything was done? Especially when they return the car to you with MORE problems. If I could give no stars I would. read more

Gas prices are usually highest or tied for highest in the area. Recently the tow truck driver responded to an accident on Church Road; loaded the two wrecked vehicles and did a poor job of cleaning shattered glass and busted headlights from the road. Neighbors were out the next day picking up the glass. Maybe Sunoco could send a second clean-up guy with the tow dude so one could focus on getting the cars off the street so traffic can move and the other can clean up the debris. read more

I have lived in the area for 45 years, bought gas, and many repairs over the years. Today I sent my 16 year old son there to get air filled in his tire. He had never done this before and doesn't have a tire pressure gauge . I said just ask for help and pay them if they ask for money. I have stopped in there countless times for this exact thing, maybe they only help women. Someone told my boys " we don't do that here" and sent them to Flourtown Gulf. one day during my lunch break i went out to get lunch. when i came back to my car to go back to work i had noticed a giant puddle of oil under my car. Not knowing who to call i asked a co-worker. they suggested flourtown sunoco. so i decided to give them a try and see if they could assist. the young man who i first talked to told me he would have someone out right away. in my past expirences i expected to be waiting for hours...but not in this case. a very nice gentlemen named mark showed up with in 30 minutes. i was very suprised to see someone show up so quickly. upon arrival mark was very courteous and helpful to me. i would recommend flourtown sunoco and especially mark to help with any automotive needs. read more

My husband and I were in the market for a new mechanic recently (after 12 years of loyalty to a shop that--sadly--closed) and I saw these two reviews on Yelp. I went in and spoke to Gene, and felt very comfortable with him. I explained to him that my husband and I both had old cars with specific quirks (NOT safety issues re an inspection) that we didn't want to fix/sink money into, and we planned to drive them until they die. I feared another shop might try to force us to get things fixed that we simply didn't need to sink money into. He said that was just fine, he had plenty of clients like that, and didn't have a problem just changing the oil or whatever it was that NEEDED to be done. I asked him about the owner of the shop and length of time that the mechanics worked there, I was very comfortable with all of his replies, and felt every young man who worked there was friendly, courteous, and professional. We've only had one oil change so far, but, I have a good feeling that this shop will be our new mechanics long term. read more
