We like to support family owned local businesses. The owner Jeff came out to our home with LVP…read moreflooring samples. He was so nice & friendly. Jeff was very knowledgeable. He advised as a home with pets, LVP is the best flooring option. It is durable. He said it would last 20 years. We signed a contract to have LVP flooring installed on the main floor and upstairs in the bedrooms. The installers worked quickly. Initially the floors looked beautiful. By the 2nd year, some of the tiles started separating. Some tiles were chipping, some were splintering. We didnt understand this as Jeff said this is the best floor and will last 20 years. After researching we discovered our subfloors are not flat. So, the contractor would need to do prep work & level the subfloor before laying the tile. National Floor Covering did not level the surface before laying the tiles. Thats how they got the entire project done in two days. This also explains why the floors are separately, chipping & splintering througout my house. You would think that a flooring company that is in business over 30 years would know this. These floors cost us over $8,000 and they are ruined. In July 2025, we called the owner Jeff, who was not good at responding. He finally came out to the house to take a look. He acted baffled and said he had no idea why the floor did that. He said it must be "defective" tiles. I asked him could it be that the floor is not flat. He said no, as they are "floating" flooring thats made to adjust. Jeff said he would check with the manufacturer to see if it was still available. Well, he went MIA . I had to call & text him multiple times to get him to respond. Then he said he wanted to bring his installer over. That took forever as he was not responding to us. He came out with his installer. We set a date in late November 2025. Our heater broke and we were forced to cancel. It took alot to get it rescheduled for early January 2026. Then, we had a family medical emergency. We were forced to cancel again. Since then, Jeff has been unresponsive. Also- when Jeff came out & showed us samples, the samples were much thicker, probably double the thickness of the floor we received. We feel he did a bait & switch. It is now April 2026 and there has been no resolve to these horribly damaged floors. It is very clear good customer service is not a priority when problems arise. They are not an honest company. ​ We have decided we dont trust a flooring company that has been in business 30 years, charged us $8000, and wont take accountability for the fact they gave us a cheap thin floor, and laid the flooring on a non flat surface​​ causing all of it to separate, chip & splinter all through the house. They are very attentive until there's a problem. We have decided we would rather find a truly reputable company to install new flooring correctly. And this time we are more informed and know what questions to ask. Jeff is friendly, but dont be fooled. They do not install flooring properly, nor do they care to make sure they fix their mistakes. It cost me $8000, so buyer beware.

My GC originally hired Tile Studio for a rebuild of our kitchen after a flood. I chose a large…read moretravertine and was initially happy with the floor. A year later, I started seeing cracking in the tiles and grout. I called, no response. I continued to call for over a year, and finally, they responded. They came out and looked and said they would repair tile and grout under warranty. They fixed the tile, but not the grout. The grout they did put in around the new tiles was a much lighter color, but they assured me that it was only because it was new, and it would age to the proper color. I later found out they had based the replacement grout on the receptionist remembering that I had wanted a floor from the studio display. While I had chosen the tile from the display, I had not chosen the same grout, as it was far too light for a kitchen floor. A couple of years later, grout still cracked, more tiles cracked. I had them come out again, and they said they would replace them and fix the grout. There was no mention of a charge, nor was an estimate given, oral or written. They came out and Frank repaired the tiles. He was careful and talented, and the only reason I would give any stars. He had me help choose the grout, and the new grout around the new tiles is almost perfect. Then came the bill. I was told that since the cracking was due to joist movement, it wasn't their problem, so they had to charge me. $2600. For about 12 tiles. I understand if there is a problem and a company needs to charge for repairs. But, the proper procedure is to give an estimate. If I had been given an estimate, I would have fully understood that I was not under any warranty. I would have then been free to hire someone else for the repairs. TL/DR: Shoddy work + over a year of waiting for a reply + wrong color grout + bill when none discussed + no communication = unhappy customer And, the grout is still the wrong color.

John was my former next door neighbor and just flat out does amazing work. When we (my girlfriend,…read moredogs and I) moved into our studio apartment, we had an awesome island in the kitchen with no top. I asked John to be creative and make something cool for us and needless to say, he went above any beyond. He took 100 year old wood from an old house, fastened two pieces together, smoothed it out and it put a finish on it that you could slide on! The front has a rough tree look and it totally complimented the kitchen. I've never been happier and the result was phenomenal. When we moved out, we took it with us and my father made it into a mantel above his fireplace. Not only does Bolle Design do custom cabinetry and woodwork, but they make amazing cement counter tops and trivets. John showed me some trade secrets that I cannot reveal but the result is of course, more amazing custom work. I've never been happier with a designer like John and will use him with future projects. He's already working with my sister who is a tile designer and we referred him to an interior designer I paint with who is also more than pleased with his work.

(forced to give it at least one star for page) They produce good looking furniture, but Bolle Design does not seem to understand business. You would think that after a verbal agreement to spend thousands of dollars on a piece of handmade furniture that: -A mockup would be shown to the customer for approval. -A professional contract signed to include the price, a time line and an approved plan from the mock up. - Communication to include more than a phone call stating that the table had been delivered to our back yard and the money is due now. We were expecting it a few months later! - The table that was delivered was nothing like what was verbally discussed and much smaller than promised. Bolle Design then charged more money for a larger table, even though the size/price had been discussed previously (this is where a contract and mock up would have been relevant). - We had very little time to use the table before winter arrived. Bolle Design insisted we would not have to cover the table to protect it from the outside elements. We did cover it with two table covers, only to uncover it a few days ago and find numerous MAJOR faults and cracks. After sending pictures to Bolle Design, he suggested our buying stain to try to correct the problem instead of taking pride in his product and solving the problem. The entire process has been handled unprofessionally. We would not recommend Bolle Design. Update 11/09 Bolle Design is very talented, and ultimately, their product is good. Bolle Design rectified the problems with the garden table. --The table was smaller than promised in the design discussions. This was rectified, albeit for additional money. --Structure - there was movement in the joints. We asked Bolle Design for a written guarantee after fixing the problem, which was provided. -- Finish - it didn't withstand the winter weather. It is our understanding that this is the first time they designed a table for outside use. And when the table didn't initially withstand the weather of the Northeast they eventually took steps to fix it. This was a lengthy process from start to finish, taking Bolle Design almost two years to complete (and was obviously only completed due to this posted review). Advice for customers when ordering any kind of custom furniture: Make sure that contracts are presented to you in advance, for design, time line and monies due. Do not accept a finished piece based on casual discussions.
