He has always taken great care and attention to my teeth and has never suggested services that I didn't need. My appointments are always on time. One day I had a horrible bicycle accident, resulting in a very badly broken tooth/broken nose/concussion. After the hospital, I went directly to Dr. Kataria and he took me in immediately and looked after my tooth. I'm so grateful for his kindness and attention to detail - no one can ever guess I have a crown on one of my front teeth!! And it hasn't given me any issues once he put it in. Yesterday was my first appointment as a new client of theirs. Firstly, I was greeted by a kind and warm receptionist. Their space was beautiful and well-kept. They were also extremely accommodating to my invisible disabilities which already removes much of the stress of going to new places. In addition, I had NO wait time at all. I was greeted by my dentist who was extremely kind, genuine and easy-going. She made me feel very comfortable and made it a point to ensure that I was doing well and to ask her for anything if I needed it. A bonus was that they have the TV's literally on the ceiling so you can lay back, relax and enjoy a good show on Netflix of your choice. I also met with the main dentist (I presume) who was also caring, warm and attentive. The three women I met yesterday really did make my entire experience. I'm still amazed that I'm this happy about a dentist appointment but customer service really does go a long way. Would highly recommend.

They are brief in their summaries and tell you everything you could do rather than help guide you towards what you should do. They are particularly bad at pediatric dentistry. When my son was getting one of his first check-ups, it became evident he was missing two front teeth. The dentist proceeded to use the term "recessive gene" three times and claimed my family must have the same "recessive gene" problem -- we don't, neither do members of my wife's family -- and then made me feel stupid for not noticing this issue. New parents need to feel supported with their children's health. These dentists made me feel ashamed and confused. When my son was about to get his first cavity filled at 4 years old, the dentist first claimed it would be very challenging cause it was late in the day, then had us come back later in the week first thing in the morning, then gave up and referred us to pediatric dentistry, which we should have done in the first place. It was a tremendous waste our time and frankly I'm appalled by their righteous attitude. Also, they don't do direct billing, so be prepared to pay up front fully even if you have coverage. Don't get me wrong. These dentists are skilled and trained. They know dentistry. Their attitude sucks. I have seen medical specialists my entire life and I'm very attuned to who demonstrates care and who just treats appointments as work. Leaside made us feel like a job and not people. As a result, I was terrified of the dentist's office, and out of fear, I avoided very much necessary dental work and care for years. When it wasn't an option to avoid it any longer, I stumbled into Dr. Boudakian's office by chance, and I was met with the kindest possible care. Every single person at Bayview Village Dental, in the several years I have been a patient, is brilliant and compassionate, and an absolute dream, and I ADORE that the same wonderful practitioners are there year after year. So much care goes into the selection of support staff, and so much care is felt when you are receiving services. The transition was done with respect and care to the patients as well as the staff there; he kept the hygienists and the receptionist who are absolutely the heart of this place. They call and remind you of your appointments, they pick up the phone when you call in, they do a great job on your teeth! I have no complaints. Dr Hatamian put my crown on and it's the best job I've ever had. They know I'm terrified of the dentist and they are gentle and go soooo slow whenever I get the heebie-jeebies. Plus, it's right downtown and attached to King Subway Station! So easy to get to.

Now he still has to get a crown which they should have covered due to NEGLIGENCE. I now have to do further work on my mouth that would have been unnecessary had the work been done properly. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE! **UPDATE June 2014** I can't say enough how people need to stay away from this dentist. I have now had to have all the work removed they have done and will have to get it all redone. All out of pocket. Things that should have been done were not and cheaper materials were used, I am convinced this is to ensure a steady income coming in. Temporary filling material used in a root canal and they did not advise that a crown was needed. She left my teeth like that! Food had been getting under the filling and back into the root canal. Again my new dentist has had to refill this to prevent infection. STAY AWAY!!!
