There are many, MANY other nurseries in the area with friendly knowledgeable staff and better pricing. I cannot stress enough. Avoid this place at all costs!!! I wanted a shrub for a specific area. Went to them with my very specific needs... shade, soil condition etc. They sold me something, and when I got home, I couldn't put it in right away, because it rained every day for the next several days. Then I did some homework before planting it, to make sure I was doing everything as best I could. I found out that it was actually NOT a shade plant, but required FULL SUN. So I loaded it back in the van and went back up there. They said that they don't take returns. I complained to the owner. I told him who had helped me, and I told him that he had sold me something for full sun, when I told him it was practically full shade. I had a whole conversation with the kid about how hard it is to find something for this particular site with all the shade. I told him that the person helping me had been very nice, but that he maybe needed a bit more training, because he sold me the wrong plant. Even though I had stressed how nice and personable the person was who helped me... He got offended, because apparently it was his son who sold it to me. He grabbed the plant out of my truck, then he started screaming, literally screaming at me, because he said I had neglected the plant and not watered it. I told him it was sitting out in a nice, cool, shady spot, and it had rained every single day since I had purchased it, and that I had soaked it thoroughly on the one day that it had only rained lightly. It had only been a week. So he yanks it out of my truck, and he THROWS it while he's YELLING and SCREAMING the whole time. I told him that he needed some anger management or some counseling, and he started yelling at me again and calling me names and telling me that I was the one who needed help! I'm not kidding when I say that I was a little scared for the next several weeks because this guy had my name and credit card info and was going to come to my house and do something to me or my property. I honestly had my husband set up a webcam and motion sensor lights. I can't believe how bad this guy lost it!

The owner put all trees and shrubs half off or some such thing, just so people could replace trees lost to the storm. I bought a small Japanese maple and a shrub that day. That part didn't go as well as it should have, the weather turned up the heat, and for as much as I watered: still the plants were charred by the string of super sunny, hot days. Left with no choice other than to make another purchase-this time I was smart enough to ask Auburn Oaks to add delivery and install of the plants to my bill. WHAT a FABULOUS choice!! Coming here's a pleasure because their not a huge facility like Bordine's or Lowe's. Parking's tight but doable you just have to be careful when backing out since it's literally on Auburn Road, which is super busy and the speed limit's 50 MPH. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!

Went here a few weeks ago for a gas can. I asked if they could show me how the new cans work but…read morethe staff had no clue how they worked and told me that I can buy the gas can and figure it out myself. Went in again today to get two car keys cut. I told them I have the keys and I know someone who can program them. I just need them cut. They told me they won't cut keys unless I buy them from ACE because "they don't want the responsibility of cutting a key they didn't sell me" and then they said "we can't program keys either." I repeated myself that I don't care that they can't program them because I can get them programmed elsewhere. Still no help. I asked where I can get my keys cut and the staff member said "I'm sure there's a locksmith in Milford." The staff is rude and useless and the prices are pretty steep. Save yourself the time, money, and sanity. Go somewhere else.
