I was visiting friends in Paonia, Colorado and had been told when I got my oil changed in Vernal, Utah my brake pads needed changed. They didn't have what I needed so I waited until I was settled in Paonia for a few days to find a dealership to do the work. I was so glad I did as they told me changing my brake pads now was premature and I had a few thousand miles left. Very disappointed in Flower Motor Company Inc. Set up an appt. over a week in advance for a recall on my jeep. The notice I received said the part was available after a few years of waiting. I got there early and was told it would be about an hour and a half, ok went to waiting area. Guy came out over an hour and a half later to let me know they didn't have the part, wait when I called he asked for the Vin # and got all my info and said no problem. Wtf now they tell me the part was never ordered! Also dealing with the truck from your dealership down the road, they put the wrong parts on costing us thousands this week when a front tire fell off driving down the road, which could have killed someone. Unbelievable. I kept trying these guys since they are the closest dealership to me, but, at this point, after many--too many--experiences with their service department, I know for sure that they are either completely incompetent or sheisters. Most recently I spent 5 hours waiting for them to do an oil change and look at a couple of small issues. I left before they were "finished" out of complete desperation and after they told me the "repairs" would cost many hundreds of dollars. I guess they did the oil change, but one of the other issues I fixed myself by buying a nut at a hardware store, and the other one I had a more local guy diagnose and fix in 30 minutes. Even later, I realized that although they had kept my vehicle for hours and hours and told me that they had done an oil change and checked fluids, etc., I had yet another, more reputable, mechanic look at the engine and tell me that the fluids were all extremely low, including the power steering fluid which took an entire bottle. Great customer service by Skylar Moore. I had a bad transmission in my ram 3500. They took me and my wife to the mall why they diagnosed the problem on Monday. They replaced the transmission and radiator. Also, why they had it I had them change the oil and new rotors and brakes. And all was done by Friday night. There is no way I should not be able to trade in my used 5 month old JEEP w/ low mileage and not have a $1 in value since (even worse upside down by $7000?) We, took our 2000 Dodge Durango in for some repairs. The rear seals was leaking oil. We spent over $5000 to have everything replaced. For $5000 I could have had the engine replaced with the 5.7 Liter back in it. (The engine was replaced several years earlier somewhere else with a 4.7 Liter.) Now after 3 or 4 years later the engine is running ruff. They could've asked me if I wanted to have the engine replaced. The other thing they were suppose to fix was the turn signal/hazard light switch. Still doesn't work. I believe they charged me $80 for the part. When I can get the same part for $27. We test drove 2 cars at different visits and narrowed it down to one they had and another they just got. We just needed to test drive a the one they got this week to decide. We found and looked at the new one but no one came out to help us and we thought the guy that helped us the first time, Roberto, was outside with people but when he was done he just went inside the building. So we were on our way inside to try to get help when a man in a cowboy hat blocked us and in a very hostile nasty tone said, "You gonna actually buy something today or what?!" My husband said, "Excuse me?" Cowboy says, "All the guys inside said you been here 4 or 5 times, driving everything but never buy, so you gonna actually buy today or what?" My husband said, "Then the guys inside are full of s%*t and with that attitude no, we're leaving and never coming back for anything again." So I had already been getting my kids back to the car and saying we're leaving. We drove home and I still had Roberto's card he'd given us, so I called him. He said he had left work half an hour ago. I told him what happened with Cowboy and he said, "Wes really said that?" Then said he'd left an hour ago. So I think it was him in the lot, he saw us, went inside complaining and exaggerated with Rob who helped us the 2nd time we came and Wes being the good ol' boy, came to take care of it. Attempted scam by Flower Motor Company Chrysler Jeep dealership in Montrose, Colorado June 7, 2018 Summary: Flower Motor Company said I needed an $8,000 transmission without inspecting my existing one. My 2013 Jeep Wrangler was exhibiting a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear. I made an appointment to have it diagnosed by Flower at 8:00 am on June 5, 2018. I arrived a bit before 8:00. Perhaps 15 minutes later I noted that the vehicle had been moved from where I parked it out front. I do not know where it was moved to. After a couple hours Paige, the service adviser I was working with, told me the mechanic thought it might be a valve in the transmission, but he did not have time to look at it that day. I made an appointment to bring it back on June 7 at 8:00. I arrived at Flowers about 8:00 am. I again noticed that the Jeep had been moved after a short time. At 10:30 I wandered by the service counter and Paige said she had the paperwork, but was waiting for the other service adviser to talk with me because he was more experienced. She then said she was new at the job, but would talk with me anyway. She said the mechanic had found dirt in the transmission and that I needed a new one for just under $8,000. I told her to put the Jeep back together and I would take time to think about it. I stood outside the front door to wait. Perhaps 20 minutes later the mechanic that worked on the Jeep brought it to the front parking area and walked toward the front door. I asked him what the prognosis was and he replied "It might go 50,000 miles or it might not. Sometimes the (do not remember the name) valve needs to be changed. There are a lot of O-rings and stuff in there. Could be anything. I found metal in the transmission." Paige stated his name was Darcy. Page charged me $138.13 for the diagnosis and I left. I soon looked under the Jeep and discovered that the transmission pan had not been removed, and wondered how he had known there was metal in the transmission. I returned to the dealership and asked Paige how Darcy knew there was metal in the transmission. She said "Let me go get him" and went out in the garage. Many minutes later she returned and said he had removed a magnetized plug and discovered metal on it. I did not remember a plug being there so asked her to have him come out and show me the plug. She again returned to the garage and came back to tell me he was involved in an intricate project that he could not stop in the middle of, but that he would be available in about 20 minutes. I went outside to wait. Paige came out in perhaps 15 minutes to say Darcy had left for a 12:00 to 1:00 lunch break and that she would have a 1:00 to 2:00 lunch break. She said I could come back at 2:00. I returned at 2:00 and Paige took me to the garage to talk with Darcy. I asked how he knew there was metal in the transmission and he stated he had a scope to look down the transmission fill tube, and he had seen metal down there. I asked if the scope was magnetized or only a viewing scope. He said it was viewing only. Since this was different than both things I had been told before, I asked him to show me the scope. He said it was in a different bay so he could not show it to me. I again asked him to show it to me and he said he could not leave the job he was working on. At this stage I was raising my voice and Paige said she could not allow me to argue with a mechanic in the garage and that I would have to leave. On our way back to the service counter Paige said we could talk to a manager, or she could give me a refund of the diagnostic fee. I decided my best bet was to get my money back and leave, so that is what I did. This was certainly a scam to sell me a new transmission citing metal on a non-existent magnetized drain plug and a borescope inspection that never happened. read more

They kept my vehicle overnight, due to the service department being busy, but the next morning, read the code, ordered the part (purge valve) and replaced it and had my van ready for me to pick up the following morning. During the whole process, Jimmy kept in contact with me giving me status updates. Super job, Jimmy. This is how I expect a service department to be ran. They won me over as a life long customer. Brad was awesome being willing to take my vehicle down and also schedule to have it delivered back to me. Recommended oil change interval scam. I brought my RAM 2500 diesel Cummings in for an oil change. It was the first change, so I brought it in early, at 12,000 miles instead of the recommended 15,000 miles. The woman at the service counter said I had waited too long, and should have the oil changed every 5,000 miles. When I explained that I was told when I bought the truck Cummings had changed their recommended change timed to 15,000 miles and that the truck actually tracks this and lets you know when to do an oil change, she seemed exasperated and said if it was her truck she would change the oil every 3,000 miles! I returned to the waiting area, with my laptop and researched the question. I found an advertisement from RAM stating oil changes are now recommended at 15,000 miles. I showed this to her, and she said this was wrong! She absolutely refused to agree that the information she was giving me was incorrect. The cost of an oil change was also almost double what another local garage would charge (Diamond G, whom I totally recommend) and if you do the math of changing the oil every 3K (her final recommendation) and the real number of 15K she was trying to get me to spend five times the maintenance costs. I have since read about Cummings recommendations and 15K is correct. RAM service should know when to do an oil change and I feel this was a scam and not a mistake. read more

I have bought over 20 vehicles from flower motor's in the last 18 years and have been burned by them many times the newest the most recent was today. I bought a Dodge hellcat. The finance manager was named John Smith and he told me he sold me a 7 year/70,000 mile warranty it covered everything bumper to bumper even the tires interior and paint. Was included. at about 6000 miles my clutch started acting up and they told me it wasn't under warranty then I asked about my extended warranty that I bought and found out I was lied to about the 7 year 70,000 mile warranty and they sold me a 36,000 mile warranty instead. I took them for their Word but when I found out that they weren't honest about the warrantee they sold me I asked around and found they did this to more people. they told me that that I could pay them another $2500 to upgrade my warrantee to what I was told I was getting or I could cancel the one I have and I would get back all of my money. this is been going on for six weeks and Ron Ellis told me I would get back every penny because I haven't use the warranty it's still under factory warranty and he was sorry. I've called him multiple times and would never call me back unless I went above his head to his boss I found out today that the warranty company is only giving back $1400 so they burned me out of $1000 I never use the warranty and was told a check would come to me multiple times and it would be the full 2500 instead It was a thousand short of what I was told multiple times if they would do this to a person that bought 20 plus cars from them imagine what they would do to a new customer. Buyer beware of what there saying read everything I've went back even though I've have multiple problems over the years trying to keep the money in the community but I will never ever go back I bought a truck a couple of years ago transmission and some other stuff went out they had it for six months they kept telling me they where working on it but I would go there and it just sat for months at the end of that the warrantee company dropped the warranty saying the truck was altered and would not cover it I bought the truck from flowers as is and ended up having to trade it in lost everything I had in it my down payment, my six months of payments and the 3500 dollar warrantee be carful I'm telling you there at so many costumers that have been burnt the same way read more

I own a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have owned Jeeps for over 30 years. For last several years have had all my work done at Flower Motors. I purchased an "Essential Care Plan" which was for prepaid oil changes. Took it in the other day, told them I planned to use my last oil change and they took it back and did it. When I picked up the car I was told the contract had expired (7 days) and I had to pay for the oil change ($55). I felt I had already paid for an oil change and they were simply not going to honor it or help out in anyway. I live 25 miles from the dealership in another town and can't always get to the dealership in timely fashion. I felt they could have tried to go to bat for me with Chrysler (it's a Chrysler "contract") or help me navigate some solution. The service person gave me a phone number to call but otherwise I was on my own. I did call Chysler and as you'd expect was told "there was nothing that could be done". Take what you will from this but in my opinion: 1) don't expect Flower Motors service to go out of their way or go the "extra mile". 2) any contract with Chrysler or their dealerships requires you READ THE FINE PRINT! 3) deal with Chrysler and Flower Motors on a "buyer beware" basis. For myself, in the future, I will use Flower Motors only for parts and warranty work I can get nowhere else. read more

Purchased a Jeep Wrangler at Flower in 2014. Factory warranty was 36 months or 36,000 miles. Developed a coolant leak. The thermostat housing was cracked. Wouldn't warranty the part because it is 3 months out on time. Vehicle only has 13,800 miles on it!! Seems a little ridiculous they wouldn't cover a $34.00 part! On may 31st the flower motors horror experience begun for me. I took my 2011 ram 2500 in because it was losing power would not disengage out of tow/haul or shift manuely out of 4th gear,flowers service department diagnosed my truck with a clogged catylist as to the codes coming up on the computer diagnostic report which I have never seen. They said this problem caused my truck to go into limp mode which made sense at the time so I agreed to the over $3000.00 repair after I had told them that the cat that was on it only had around 40000 miles on due to the fact Wollert automotive had to replace it when I bought the truck. Anyway the repair was done June 7th 2018 check engine light was off and thiings seemed fine. 169 miles later the check engine light comes on I return to flower where they inform me it was a ESIM switch and they replaced it at no cost to me this was june 15th 2018. I drive the truck another 170 miles and the check engine light is on and its the same code I know this because I have purchased my own code reader seeing there is no report given by flower showing which codes are popping up,so this time flowers service department brings me a loner car and takes my truck back to the shop 3 days later I return the car I am told they had replaced the ESIM switch again due to a faulty one they installed previously but this time I was told there is a 2 year unlimited mile warranty on the part and there is no cost to me so I leave with my truck and the truck seems to be working fine until 249 miles check light is back on I clear the light cause it was the same code light comes on at 469 miles again I clear it same code at 559 miles the truck literally loses all power and leaves me on the highway the very same thing the truck did in may that caused me to take it to flower. to be fair I was able to get my truck running enough to get it home. It was like I had run out of gas so I check the codes 3 different codes are popping up now I fill the truck up with fuel (it only took 20 gal so I was not out of fuel) I call flower they give me a loaner truck. now keep in mind the check engine light went off after I filled the gas tank in which the ESIM switch that keeps failing is part of the fuel system and the 2 new codes that popped up were fuel system codes also. I talked directly with Ron Ellis cause John the service manager seem to start giving me the run around. Anyway I explained to Ron in a very detailed way what the truck did the 2nd time it stalled out and how it was identical to the first time and the reason I brought it in for repair. Now in the two weeks they had my truck they did absolutely nothing to duplicate the issue they drove it 20 miles . so at this time I returned the loaner after a call from a salesmen trying to sell me a different after good ol Rons suggestion I trade for the truck they had loaned me . Guess what folks after another 180 miles my check engine light is on. Ive asked Ron Ellis to return my money as the truck is not repaired and I still have the same issue. Good ol Ron Ellis's response is I quote "the problem is there is no record of Wollert automotive replacing the cat previously and my mechanic states it was an original oem cat he removed and Wollert automotive would have sent the truck to us as they do not do this kind of repair" MY REPLY TO YOU RON ELLIS IS AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME IS " THE PROBLEM IS MY TRUCK IS NOT REPAIRED LIKE IT SHOULD BE IT HAS BEEN MISDIAGNOSED IMPROPERLY REPAIRED AND NEITHER YOU OR YOUR MECHANIC WILL DO ANYTHING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM YOUR DISHONEST AND UNRELIABLE AND I'M JUST TOTALLY UNIMPRESSED WITH YOUR SEVICE AND YOUR WILLINGNESS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE YOURS TRUELY LARRY SUNDERLIN GUNNISON COLORADO RESIDENT." MAY KARMA KICK YOUR ASS RON ELLIS AND FLOWER MOTOR COMPANY!!!!! By the way its july 31st my check engine light is still on still haven't seen a diagnostic report from the original diagnosis on may 31st as I requested but do have to spend another $1500 for a fuel pump which will fix my problem and probably would have in the beginning along with new cat sensors but not an entire catalyst converter . My advice to anyone going to flower motor is if it involves anything more than putting air in your tire get a second opinion read more
