If you're looking to trade in your vehicle for a used car, stay away from this dealership. We traded in our vehicle in March and have only had our vehicle about a week total. Now in May and we are still waiting for repairs to be done. The check engine light came on day we drove the car home. Multiple times in and out of service. Dealership had car ENTIRE month of April. I wish we never did business with them. They lie, I definitely don't trust them anymore. Run away...we were told NOTHING was wrong with the car when we signed the paperwork. They don't care about customers, only money. Work done on car so far: charged a/c, replaced front brake pads, resurfaced front rotors, replaced starlink panel, "found front seat barlink lowers boots torn" replaced both, "updated" radio that kept going out, replaced catalytic converter, replaced transmission "found slipping", replace spark plugs and fuel injectors. Waiting to get car back and see what are the next surprises are in store for us. If the service department completes a "thorough inspection" before the car leaves the lot, I definitely DON'T trust their repairs. My husband and I are utterly disgusted. It's our only vehicle. We can't drive the loaner out of Colorado to visit and help my parents over 80 years old, we have told the dealership this MANY times. Will they just swap it out for a car that is sound? At this point I don't trust them to do make it right. I hate this dealership. read more

I was overcharged $317 plus tax for new tires. The worst part is that they lied to my face when I was checking out and told me that the quote had been honored. I thought the bill was high, but I was in a hurry. when I had time to look at it today, I realized the error. Took several days for Flower Subaru to trouble shoot the problem of my Subaru Outback was having. Finally they said that the issue was with the battery (Class Action Suit). Customer Service would not provide a detailed invoice of the cost of the total repair which was $1250 . I had insurance and they were just rude and hard to deal with (General Manager). I purchased a used 2019 Subaru WRX STI from Flower Subaru in Montrose, Colorado in July of last year. I have owned it for about a year now, and it has been in the shop for most of the year. I have also spent probably more than I have spent on my car payments monthly on car repairs since I have owned this car. Do not buy used vehicles from this place. If you have to buy a car here, do not do it through Isaiah. it was one of the worst choices I have ever made and I am just now, a year later able to drive this car like I should have been able to on when I bought it initially. Here is my story on my ownership, and how it has been so far the last 12 months. It all started in July of 2024. My sales representative was named Isaiah. Young guy who really tried to say whatever he thought you wanted to hear. I was under the impression the car was fully stock, not been modified and Isaiah did not disclose anything been done to the car while we were on the phone, so we made plans to go see it later in the week. I arrive at the dealership with my stepfather about a day or so after I spoke with Isaiah. We get to speaking about the car and I learn that it is indeed heavily modified. So much so that I later learn not even Isaiah or anyone at the dealership even knew how much it had been modified. Isaiah then drafts up a small list of what he thinks is aftermarket on the car. (turbocharger, headers, exhaust) after speaking with the mechanics on site. He assures ME that this is all that has been done to the car. With this in mind I agree to buy the car, under an agreement that they must return the car fully to stock. They tell me this may take a week or two. In addition to this, for putting it back to stock they bundle an additional warranty on my dime for the car, a powertrain warranty that only covers the engine and transmission, nothing else. So, I agree to buy the car, I pay an initial down payment and I am told that they will be in touch in a week or two with updates on the car. First time I hear from Isaiah is a week or so later to ask if I want to buy the modified parts they are taking off the car. This is concerning and odd being that I just made it very clear I want it stock and that I got a warranty to reflect that. Finally he relents after 15 minutes or so of him asking me buy these parts for a few extra thousand dollars. First concerning sign.... Multiple weeks go by and I do not hear anything from Isaiah. I call and leave multiple voicemails. I then finally hear back weeks later and Isaiah tells me that they need to order parts. I figure this is pretty normal. I ask him to let me know when they should be scheduled to be delivered. this turns into pulling teeth. I try to call twice a week or so and I get the run around, will not return my calls says he is busy. Meanwhile, I get a notification that my first payment is due on the car. Finally I have to sidestep Isaiah entirely, and call the service department. I met a very nice man who helped me get an ETA on the parts finally, after weeks of ghosting from the guy who got a COMISSION from me buying this car. Once he got his check he did not give a single bit of effort to me anymore. So, finally I get the car. I drive it for about 2 weeks, and in doing so I have to replace a evap solenoid on the car, as well as my clutch which I later learned was aftermarket. I then learn it has aftermarket fuel injectors, sparkplugs, and a tune from COBB which was never reverted. About a week after getting the new clutch and evap solenoid on the car, I have a complete engine failure. I had to FULLY REPLACE THE ENTIRE SHORTBLOCK. TURBOCHARGER KIT. AC HOSING KIT. So, long story short I have spent probably upwards of $6,500 dollars fixing issues never disclosed to me on this car sold to me from Flower Subaru. It has more new parts than parts it had when it was sold to me now. Do not do business here. read more

Evidently, they decided to back out of the deal costing me weeks of not listing the vehicle. This happened to us in 2023/24. In the fall, my wife was t-boned in our then almost new and bought new 2019 Outback, It totaled the car and though we were not in the market we bought a very new 2024 Outback in Late September '23. We did not buy it from Flower though we did buy the 2019 from Flower. The reasons are complicated and our decision is not a reflection on Flower company. The 2024 was bought in Colorado Springs about 320 miles from us. At 6000 miles we took the vehicle in for it's initial servicing to our local mechanic as the nearest Subaru dealer, which is Flower motors, is 65 miles from our very rural home. Our mechanic, after inspecting the CVT declared he thought we had a problem and it should go to the nearest Subaru dealer ASAP. We took it into Flower where their service department verified there was a very serious problem with the CVT that could lead to total failure of the unit. This at slightly less than 6,000 miles. Flower recommended to S.O.A. (Subaru of America) that our CVT unit should be replaced immediately. They convinced S.O.A. to send specially trained techs to investigate and they concurred. A new CVT unit was ordered from Japan and installed at Flower motors. This was an extremely stessful time for us as this was our only means of transportation and the repair would take several weeks, as we were advised not to drive it until the new unit could arrive and be installed. Though Flower Motors did not sell us this unit they stepped up and provided us with a new 2024 Outback Wilderness to drive until ours could be repaired. Frankly we were stunned. This level of care and concern for us and our well being was truly remarkable. The repairs were made, the 2024 drives perfectly and now has 20,000 miles and 14,000 on the CVT. My wife and I declared right then and there that we would never buy another new vehicle except at this very singular dealership. Flower Motors of Montrose CO. Just yesterday I traded in my 2021 Buick Encore GX for a 2025 Subaru Outback Premium at Flower. So we are now a 2 Outback family. This is my experience. From this I must recommend Flower Subaru in only the most complimentary terms. They have earned both my wife's and mine's new car business for life. read more

Do NOT buy a car from these people! First of all, I was told there was a manual for the used car I bought but there were no manuals in there. When I brought it to there attention a few days later, I was told first by my salesman that the manual was in the car, but is wasn't! So I was told by my salesman that they would get me one. 2 months later and I'm still getting the run around. The SUV I bought has a lot of high-tech features and I have no idea how to use them. So finally, yesterday I get am email from my salesman, Isaiah Perez, telling me, "I don't have to get you a manual!" BAM! I told my salesman, Isaiah I wanted to talk to the manager and he told me he would call me, "when he had the time!" 2 days later and I have not received a call! If I wanted to buy a car I bet he would be on the phone in 2 minutes. It's true what they say about used car salesman, they are worms that live underground and only come up when the want to pounce on a person that wants a car then crawl back in their hole! read more

I was in Montrose visiting my sister and needed work on my air conditioner in my 2016 Suburu. I told Kris in service that It was blowing air but it was going warm while on highway, also had spark plugs replaced, a headlight & parking light replaced. They had car from 11:00 to 4:30. Get back on road & halfway back to Denver & air begins to blow hot, and as it gets dark, I turn on lights to find same headlight out. I won't be going back to them & was so very disappointed in their service! It's like ' this girl is from Denver, let's take her money. AND. Charged credit card $587! For what??? read more

I'm really bummed out with our experience with Flower. I traded in my 2016 Forester for a 2018 Crosstrek earlier this year and the experience felt rushed. So rushed that there were multiple things they didn't address with me upon signing the paperwork. I felt icky about it and emailed the manager the next day. We were able to make some changes in some things to the paperwork and I was happier. We had negotiated a hitch and crossbars. We brought the car to have the hitch put on and it was the wrong one - it was for the wrong model year. (And we recently discovered we believe we got the wrong crossbars as well. We had been TOLD that they were Thule -- we went to buy an accessory for those crossbars (the one's we believed we had paid for) and that accessory. We have not called them yet to address THAT particular piece, but will be.) Nearly two months after we purchased I had not yet gotten the slip in the mail to get it registered with the state of Colorado. So I called the county and they reported that Flower had filled out the paperwork wrong. We called Flower and they reported they had just sent it out that day. It was a bit of a run around and it cut it almost too close on getting my car registered. They DID print us a new temp license plate but it was a pain for us to have to make the trip over there. In April of this year, we were called because of a title issue on their end on the car we traded in. They had to get a duplicate title. On a car we sold THREE MONTHS PRIOR. They apparently lost the other one we had turned in....??? The women who called us was of zero assistance. We never got it completely resolved and I'm actually curious why we haven't heard back. The icing on the cake was when I called them, to give them one more chance, to order accessories for my car -- a cargo tray and a bumper cover. They quoted me $106+ each, when the Subaru parts website listed them for $79.99 or so each. He said that was the price before they take into consideration shipping costs. I ended up calling another Subaru dealership in our area and they are selling me those accessories for the same price on the website. I didn't ask them too, that's just what they selling them for. They aren't charging me shipping. This is very frustrating to me I feel like I've had just one thing after another pop up with Flower. We are new to this area and wanted to be loyal to the local dealership, but in the future we will be taking the car elsewhere for service appointments. When we are ready for our next Subaru, we won't be returning. read more

I'm from out of town and had to request a last minute appointment for my manual transmission Forester which was 'clunking' when I shifted at low speeds. The dealer accommodated my request, got me in the next day and successfully diagnosed and repaired my car while I waited. 'Clunking' sound is gone, and it was a reasonably priced repair. Had a fantastic experience with Flower and especially Allen, the Service Advisor. Had a light come on in my 2005 Legacy GT while out on a ski trip away from home. I called ahead to ask if they could help me quickly as I had to make it to a hut trip by a certain time. They got me in and out very quickly, running a diagnostic and explaining to me the issue all free of charge, even after I told them I would probably be taking the car to my normal mechanic in Denver. I've never written a review before, but I felt that writing this one was necessary. I am not someone who knows a lot about cars and after speaking with a bunch of people about my experience at this place, I have come to find out that this dishonest behavior happens all the time. It is unfortunate that people believe it is okay to take advantage of others, especially when we are putting our complete trust in them. A few weeks ago my 2012 Subaru Forester starting making a weird clicking noise. I took it in last week to have it looked at because it wasn't normal and I was unsure as to what it was. On my way to Montrose from Ridgway, my tire pressure light came on. Since I was on my way to get the car looked at, I figured they could check the pressure and fill it while it was there. When I dropped it off, Alan instantly said "that sounds pretty bad. I bet it's a $5000-$6000 fix". The next day, my fiancé and I received a call from Alan with the results of the diagnostic test. He implied that a small block replacement was necessary and that the car should not leave the lot, estimating the cost to be $5,200. We took their "expertise" into consideration, picked it up, and took it to Ouray's Timber Ridge Shop for a second opinion. As we were leaving, I noticed that my tire pressure light was still on. I pulled out the receipt and it stated that they had "performed [a] multipoint inspection, checked tire pressure, all fluids, suspension, all mechanical," and put in 4 quarts of oil. It didn't make sense that my tire pressure light was still on, if they had checked the tire pressure and filled it with air?? As I drove my car 35 miles to Ouray, I noticed that there was no clicking noise. The guys from Timber Ridge said that if it was a serious engine problem that it would be constantly clicking, and that it was most likely a low oil issue. I dropped my car off at Timber Ridge and after two days the Timber Ridge crew fixed my Subaru. The ONLY thing they did was change the oil and fill it back full of fluids and then charged me $80. They also *actually* filled my tires with air and as a result the tire pressure light turned off! It's amazing to me that Flower Subaru Motor even remotely considered it to be okay to charge me over $5000 for what turned out to be an extremely simple repair. These guys are only out to get money and seem to not know what they are talking about. I will never take any of my vehicles to them, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. read more

We contacted salesperson Marvin about a Crosstrek we wanted and asked whether he could compete with several other dealers we got quotes from.We told him that we preferred his dealership because it was much closer to our home than the others. He said that he wanted to make it happen, and he did splendidly. He was very pleasant to work with, very attentive, and willing and able to do what he could to get us his best deal. He got us a car that we are now very happy with, and he followed through by taking very good care of us at the showroom. The finance person Tiffany was also exceptional. They didn't even have the decency to phone me to let me know. Their apology was an offer of a cup of coffee. I want to start out by saying I usually go to Denver to get great deals. I am happy to say that I gave Flower Subaru a chance and they exceeded my expectations. I sent an inquiry on a Sunday and received an actual ( not automated) response right away. On Monday Jesus contacted me and was willing to negotiate terms with me before I drove to Montrose as I live in Grand Junction. By early afternoon I drove to Montrose, completed my paperwork with in an hour I was on the road with my new car! They gave me a great trade price as well as a great purchase price. Jesus has followed up with me since my purchase multiple times to make sure that I was stilling loving my new car. This is hands down the best experience I have had purchasing a vehicle. Sold my grandmother a lemon. Had the check engine light on when she test drove it and it came on 3 more times. They cleared the codes, never told her except once what they were for. Never gave her any paperwork. The sales person noticed that she was not feeling well. She was having a diabetic attack and told them she needed to go have lunch and they kept telling her it was just going to be a few minutes more. This made her very sick by the time she left. She wrote them a letter that they never responded to. Shifting problems started right after she got the car. Now, a while later, the car won't go into reverse and neutral goes into drive. I went to go get the paperwork they would never give her and they had one thing on the valves they replaced and never recorded any of the codes pulled. I complained to the service manager and he apologized but offered nothing more upon hearing the cars current problems. Sad fact is that she has to keep paying on this car on her fixed income that she may not be able to drive much longer. UDPATE 4/9/18 - Called in per the response from Flower posted on Google. Called in multiple times. Reached who I was told was the owner. Played phone tag after he initially took my information. Said he would get back to me soon. Soon turned into well over a week. He was off Mon and Tue both weeks I called. Got a message to call him back finally, and he was not in again and again and again. Finally just had to repair the vehicle. Took it to a really gracious mechanic who did his very bestto keep our cost down in order to help Grammy. Thanks Phil @ Performance Muffler and Auto!!! Spent $1,800.00 total to replace the transmission and get the alignment done. Money that Grammy doesn't have so she got a loan that she now has to use her SS checks to pay off in addition to the vehicle payment. She didn't have use of her car for almost a month. It was a really disappointing experience and I, for one, will never set foot in either Flower dealership. I will be taking my business elsewhere when I am ready to get my new Dodge. Kind of a sad day when you keep an elderly diabetic at your dealership from 10 AM to 5 PM, lead her to believe that the check engine light code will be explained in the handbook in the car, clear the code, deny her time to go eat lunch, which she needed to keep from being sick, and then tell her, "oh, well it was sold AS IS." This all was either a tactful ploy to guarantee the sale of the car, or a very terrible mistake in not respecting and listening to your customer. read more

The staff at Flower Subaru service department were friendly and courteous enough, but they certainly did not go above or beyond to fix my car thoroughly when I had it in there last year. They replaced a turbo on my Subaru that broke when I was near their area (I live 3 hours away), and they did some other regular maintenance. However, they did not bother to replace one more $15 oil return hose attached to the turbo, which was leaking when I got the car back from them. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix these oil leaks, only to find that the oil return hose has been bad the whole time. Now it will cost an additional $500 in labor to replace this $15 part. When I inquired with Flower Motors as to why they did not replace the hose when they already had the engine taken apart, they said they didn't want to charge me for another part. Seriously? A $15 part?!? Come on, guys, help your customers out here... you know those hoses have to be replaced, so why not do it when it is readily accessible? Moral of the story: make sure they replace any parts that are likely to wear out around the same time as other parts to save yourself money down the road. They seem to bank on the fact that if they don't, you'll soon be back for more expensive labor and cheap parts. read more

Thought we'd found a good deal. Nope. Not only did they sell us a used vehicle that had multiple hidden issues, but it appeared they did so knowingly. The vehicle had multiple sensor issues. First time we brought it back they re-set the computer. Yeah, that'll fix it....not. We brought it in again when all the lights came back on and they looked at it for two weeks or so and we got it back in the same condition. We gave up on taking it back to them. On top of an unfortunate purchase they posted 3 credit inquiries on my credit causing a significant dip in my credit score. I've never heard of anyone or even seen anyone do that! One is all I've ever seen, especially when your credit is as good as mine. Thanks Flower for a bad experience all around. Won't be back and won't recommend you to anyone. read more

I spent 5 hours this morning trying to purchase a Subaru Impreza WRX from this dealership this morning.  I live in Colorado Springs but drove through Montrose, CO yesterday.  The dealership is in Montrose.  I had loan approval from my bank and from the dealer's financing and an outstanding interest rate.  Loan approval was also emailed to the sales person.  My brother test drove the car this morning and called me immediately to buy it.  I chose to go with my bank instead of theirs.  I called to make a deposit as another customer showed up with another salesperson.  They took my credit card information with the approval to charge $2,000 to remove the car from the lot.  I called back a few minutes later, and because the other interested party was test driving the car, they decided to not charge the deposit to give him the opportunity to buy the car.  I explained to the salesperson that my deposit was in before his was.  I called the Sales Manager and General Manager who both said they would call back immediately.  2 hours later, I finally got in touch with the Sales Manager to remove my deposit.  His opinion was that because the other customer was on site, that my deposit wasn't valid because he was interested in buying the car, and could sign paperwork in person today.  After a call to one of the General Managers (who was very understanding and helpful), he was in agreement that I should have been given the opportunity to submit a deposit, and not the other customer.  Unfortunately, the Salesperson and Sales Manager didn't return my calls, allowing the buyer in Montrose to close before I had a say in the matter. read more

I requested more photos of the car and received them immediately. Within the hour of finding the car online and working with Patrick, we had all of the information we needed to purchase our car. After a five hour drive to Flower Subaru, our car was waiting for us in front and all of the paperwork was ready for us to sign. Also, not just with me, but I noticed the service staff took individual care with each customer. Very personalized. In August of this year I was on a road trip and while in Colorado after I drove over the Kebler pass my car started making a weird noise.I dont know anything about cars and stopped at the Subaru dealership.They were very nice,got me to sign a paper that said I'll pay their fee or that will be waved if I decide to do the repair there.They drove the car around the parking lot but couldnt find the noise,took it on a dirt road,still nothing,then took the wheels off and looked everywhere under the car.Took them a long time but couldnt find what was wrong.They said "we're sorry mam but we cant find anything so we're not going to charge you the fee".I had my wallet in my hand ready to pay.What can I say,I was so thankful that there are still people like these out there and to this day my car drives ok and the noise is gone.I never write reviews but I will keep this in my heart as a reminder that no matter where you go traveling there's always going to be good people out there to help you read more
