Experience with vendor is very disappointing. Product delivered was not even remotely close to that which was ordered. Placed order via website the night before and was not contacted until 1:30 next day, which was also the scheduled delivery date. Vendor stated he did not have the particular gerbera daisy and would have to substitute a yellow, orange, or coral. I agreed with the understanding the product would have same character and upgraded size I ordered. Called vendor and left message. Attempted to contact via their email on website but their 'captcha' security does not work. Update: Vendor is polite and eager to resolve issue. He explained most of the flowers pictured in product option were not available. He was very responsive in trying to resolve and delivered replacement next business day. Although delivered product is still not what was ordered, rating is upgraded considering how vendor handled issue. read more

I have been doing business with Flowers by Buck for more than 25 years and have highly recommended him to my friends, family, and coworkers. I know that he has received quite a bit of business from those referrals as I have been the recipient of some gorgeous flowers from him in the past. I was very satisfied with his work and customer service. However I have become very disappointed in him. The most recent cause for disappointment is the flowers I received for Mother's Day 2021. The flowers I received were very pretty but were nowhere close to what my daughter ordered. She ordered a lovely mixed floral arrangement called How Sweet It Is. what I received was an arrangement of roses loaded with baby's breath and fern. My daughter did not get a call from Buck to ask if he could change the arrangement because he did not have the flowers required for her order. When she called the Monday after Mother's Day she was told that the arrangement he sent me was an upgrade as he had sent long stemmed roses. I don't think it was an upgrade. The stems were cut so short that when I received it, they were not touching the water in the vase. I actually had to remove the flowers to put water in the vase and arrange the flowers so that they reached the water. Buck's response to her call was not satisfactory at all. First, he should have apologized for not filling her order correctly and for not calling her to ask if she was ok with a different arrangement. Secondly, he should have offered to make good by refunding her or making another arrangement as she requested. I also called him after she did because she was utterly disgusted with her interaction. Buck did offer to send me an arrangement "when he got his flowers in". A whole week has gone by without that arrangement which is what has compelled me to leave this negative review. The other reason for the negative review is because some time ago I needed a florist to make several boutonnières for my job. I called Flowers by Buck at least three times, leaving a detailed message for what I wanted, without getting a call back. I also drove to the shop twice during their advertised open hours but no one was there. Eventually I went to another florist in the downtown Montgomery area to get what we needed. The photo shows the arrangement I received. There are six "long-stemmed" roses, three sweetheart roses, a lot of fern, and a lot of baby's breath. You can see how few of the stems really go deep in the vase. read more

Before you read this review, check out the what I ordered and what I got photos. I ordered the "How Sweet It Is" bouquet for my mom. Buck did not make the arrangements I ordered. It was not even close. My mom was disappointed with the arrangement she received, not because of the flowers themselves but because of the presentation. The stems were cut so short that several of the flowers did not reach the water level. She had to take all of the flowers out, fill the vase almost to the rim and then place the flowers back in the vase. It seems like the stems had been trimmed to go in an arrangement with floral foam, not in a vase. I was disappointed because the arrangement that I ordered was very full with a mixed arrangement of mostly red flowers. What she received was six roses, three rosebud stems, three pieces of baby's breath and a lot of ferns. I reached out to Buck, spoke with him, and was very disappointed with his response. He said that the disclaimer on the website allows them to substitute flowers. Here's what the website says, "it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. We also will try to call and talk to you before any substitutions are made." Buck told me that he didn't have the flowers need for the arrangement I ordered; that the photo on the website is misleading and the "how sweet it is" arrangement is very small and not full. So, he gave me a better arrangement that was more expensive. The arrangement he provided was NOT better or more expensive. The substitutions made did not maintain the "look and feel", overall shape, size, style, or color combinations of the arrangement I ordered. It was an completely different substandard arrangement. I tried to resolve this by contacting Buck directly. However, he offered no resolution. He did not provide an explanation for why nobody attempted to call and talk to me before any substitutions are made. He said the arrangement he provided was better even though I explained that I didn't think it was. I will not order from Flowers by Buck again. read more

I received flowers today from Flowers by Buck , and they were BEAUTIFUL!!! The arrangement was HUGE , and they smelled so good. Ordered flowers for my fathers memorial service thru justflowers.com Having had a previous bad experience with these online services, I ordered another standing spray through Flowers by Buck to make sure I had something for the service. So glad I did. The justflowers order was delivered but puny looking compared to the picture, description and price. The standing spray from Flowers by Buck was large and beautiful.
