Debbie and the team from Flowers by Jo Ann were absolute perfection. Make sure you book well enough in advance because Debbie is TALENTED and she BOOKS OUT! But she is also WORTH IT! My wedding flowers are truly the most beautiful creation I could imagine. In my head, I had ideas of dark red and romantic instagram flowers, but, with my wedding being in late June, Debbie delicately helped me to pivot to a much more seasonally appropriate and beautiful color scheme that still incorporated the same elements. She constructed the BEST chuppah adornments and made the most BEAUTIFUL and intricate bouquet I have ever seen! Her guidance and keen eye was so helpful, and she created the most perfect florals. Where do I start? The floral bouquets and arrangements at my wedding made me cry, they are so beautiful (it's 4 days later and I'm still admiring them by the way). I knew when I saw Debbie and Ivy's work that I absolutely had to have them (Flowers by Jo-Ann) for my wedding. I know if I'm admiring more traditional pinks and whites (not my thing) that if they could work with darker colors, it would be sublime. I can't go on enough. I really can't. Debbie is a dream to work with. We started with an hour long appointment going over every single thing that I needed or never knew I needed but really wanted. Debbie is very conscious of budget and I'm terrible because I didn't have a budget in mind at ALL, but knew I couldn't have every single thing I wanted (and what I wanted was every inch of the venue covered in arrangements by Flowers by Jo-Ann!!!) She will go over your vision with you (mine-- dark glamour, fall colors, Halloween but nothing too obvious) and create a Pinterest board. Then you'll have a phone call about a month out and discuss more. The result was PERFECTION. Seriously. I cannot cannot cannot stop gushing. Originally I thought I'd save some money and get creative with the table centerpieces myself. About 6 weeks out, I knew that wasn't going to happen, so I was able to discuss some affordable but still beautiful options with Debbie (candles, with flowers and greens). When I walked into the venue last week and saw how they transformed the place into a dark candle and floral paradise, I about lost my mind with happiness. It could not get any better than this Besides the large arrangements and centerpieces, my bouquet and the wedding party bouquets were so gorgeous, we couldn't stop holding them. There were artichokes, dark roses, pops of orange roses, dark purple mums, black calla lilies on mine, and other flowers that I can't quite identify. So beyond gorgeous. I wish these flowers would last forever. I brought everything home and I can't stop admiring them. It's kind of ridiculous. Wrong flowers delivered for wedding. Not as discussed & paid. Much smaller. Flowers not in portable containers or in water. Completely wilted after 2 days. Flowers bought from florist in town lasted 8 days. Set up outdoor wooden arch inside without consultation and it looked ridiculous. Totally disappointed. Would not give price adjustment. read more

Came here to get flowers for my daughter first communion at Saint Mary's. Store was open and person refused to help as she was too busy going to work on a wedding. Refusing and denying service to customers is unacceptable, specially when you are open have a open sign. I will not come here and do not recommend. Heading to Adams, the first I should have tried. I called to speak with this florist to order flowers for a funeral that I was attending in Washingtonville (I live out of town). Not only was she kind & sympathetic (without being sappy), but she was able to get me exactly what I was looking for, in much less time than I was expecting. What I got from her would have cost me about five times as much if I went through a national chain! They were so beautiful & her suggestions were spot on, and I wanted to make a yelp review, since I don't know many folks in the area to personally give a recommendation to. Jo-Ann did the flowers at my daughter's wedding at FEAST at Round Hill. She really listened to how my daughter wanted the place to look, put together a sample on the spot, and was totally engaged in making this wedding picture perfect. We threw a few curveballs--a last minute addition of decorating the chuppah, an emergency delivery of rose petals-- yet Jo-Ann responded with calm and expertise. Flowers by Joann took care of the flowers for my daughters wedding on June 1st and they were amazing. Debbie was very accommodating and helpful when my daughter was trying to decide what she wanted. They were able to get the centerpieces that she wanted and they were gorgeous. Several people told me that the bridal bouquet was the most beautiful bouquet they had ever seen - it was absolutely stunning. Both my sister and I have used Flowers by JoAnn to send things to our nieces and sister-in-law and it is always beautiful, fairly priced, well delivered and well received. Additionally, in the past she has billed us! Unheard of these days! We now have a bit of a relationship so it is not so unusual, but wow!
