This particular spot had a wide variety of items. I found many items I was interested in, and then I came across a Steiff Hand puppet hedgehog. It was not in the best condition, but once I saw it, I could not get it out of my head. By far the cutest little find to add to my Steiff collection! The owner or sales person seemed somewhat bothered but not enough to affect the mood. The owner was upset the pellet stove wasn't working and it was cold, so her customer service didn't seem as friendly that we were there. It's set up so a large number of different vendors rent space and set up their area themselves and set their own prices. The system means that you can find a huge variety of stuff... it's the sort of place I love browsing through most. It's also a large space, with multiple rooms. I ended up dropping $100 that I hadn't meant to spend - but I also feel that it was half the price I'd have paid elsewhere for a similar item, so I'm quite delighted. (Note, however, that they don't take AmEx, and they're apparently not willing to cut you a break on the prices (or even the tax) if you pay cash. There's a similar place just two doors down called the Millbrook Antiques Mall. I didn't have time to browse there... but if you're not on a schedule, you definitely want to check out both!

Located in what used to be a fully operating airport, Stormville Airport Antiques is L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y. popping at the seams with hundreds of vendors selling vintage items from glass to wood furniture to metal knick-knacks, old-school vinyl- the list is endless. Come prepared with your sneaks and get ready to spend a few hours (or the entire day) walking on the lawn. You'll meet folks who could care less- but deep down would want you to buy their stuff and you'll also meet those charismatic vendors who'd want to tell you the item's life history. Stuff here is cheap. Not cheap in quality- cheap in price that is. Hubs and I forgot to bring our own ca$h so ended up paying the $4 ATM fee per the $200 limit. Out for gas and a local errand when I saw that there was a new business in the location of one of…read moremy former favorites, Simplicity, which closed unexpectedly last year. In its place, a vintage shop, full of cut crystal, blown glass, small furnishings, Some costume jewelry pieces and an abundance of Crystal and China. The shop is run by a lady from Alabama, who, even after 43 years managed to keep her delightful accent. I want this place to work and thrive but I fear that the buying market won't support the mission. This is not a consignment shop but you will find pieces that you would expect to find in a consignment shop. Many of the items are priced fairly and they are in good condition. Some of the clothing in the back are not in keeping with the Quality of the collectibles, in my opinion. I definitely miss Simplicity and the ability to consign locally. I did see a few items in this shop that I may return for. I'd encourage you to look for yourself. Leave big, bulky coats, and bags at home because they do have items set closely together, and many are unbreakable. please use caution. Friendly, welcoming, staff and montages based on color, style, and decade, make it fun to know how things could fit together in your place.

This tiny shop is…read morecrammed with all kinds of curious finds, from toys throughout the ages to holiday treasures, with the exception of the oh-so-elusive vintage Halloween decorations (they do have a stand of repro postcards). But if it's Christmas that you're looking for, Christmas you will get. So impressive, from completely intact boxes of tiny glass ornaments to 1950s Santas and reindeer. Also, their antique Easter offerings are legit. Although jam-packed with stuff (little to no furniture, it's all knick-knacks, I believe), so much so that it's hard to take it all in, I think even Marie Kondo herself would find immense joy in something here. Note: as others mention, this store is way more organized and all items are clean and seem to be in good condition (unlike some of the other shops on the block). Definitely worth a stop in on your Main Street stroll!
