The $100.00 that I spent on an arrangement was a joke. It looked like someone had gone to the grocery store and got a small boquet of flowers and put them in a Dollar Tree vase. I had ordered them directly with "Mike" over the phone as I live in FL. They came after 6PM on my grandaughter's birthday after she had left for dinner. I have tried to resolve this with "Mike" twice over the phone and have gotten an excuse each time. He had promised to resend them out and never did. I am now here in person and he is nowhere to be found and does not return a phone call. I have contacted the Chamber of Commerce of both cities in the area, Wendell and Zebulon and am now in contact with the Better Business Bureau of North Carolina. He is currently operating out of a small shed behind a brick building, just unbelievable for a business to operate and swindle people this way. read more

I wrote a review on the Flowers by Mike website...and, as I suspected, it hasn't been posted. My husband used this florist for the first time, because they are local......flowers were not delivered (they were ordered a week in advance and paid for the next day). When my husband called the day after the failed delivery (this was on a Friday), he was told BY MIKE "I'll make it right", stating he would deliver them on Monday. The flowers were delivered on Monday, after 1:00 pm...along with an 'apology' plant with a card "sorry for the mixup on your flowers". The actual flowers had a card that was addressed to Mrs Hill...my name is PEELE, which my husband had REPEATEDLY spelled out. I can overlook a mistake...we all make them....but this was too many in ONE SITUATION. ~ Sending flowers is rarely an unemotional, or non sentimental act.....I would have expected a more heartfelt apology than "sorry for the mixup".... This would have been a very special memory for us...our 15th wedding anniversary....my husband sent 15 red roses. The florist took the 'special' out of the memory. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I live in NYC and ordered flowers to be sent to my two sisters at different addresses for Mothers' Day. I needed to make an alteration to the card attached to each so I called. The man on the line was incredible unhelpful and extremely rude. He said he didn't have my order, even though I received confirmation emails yesterday saying that my order was received and payment being processed. He told me it was my fault for using his website because it apparently goes through a third party, and that he hasn't been able to turn on his computer in 3 days. When I told him to cancel my order if it came through, he kept repeating that he didn't have my order and that I had to call this other third party directly. His website states he is the florist, and the help number it offers on the website as well as in the confirmation e-mails is his, yet he seems to have no idea how to run his business or use technology. After going back and forth and trying to make him understand I had no contact information for whatever third party he used because his website was misleading, he called me arrogant and hung up on me. I highly, highly recommend staying far away from this place. read more

Wow. Strongly recommend you steer clear of this place. I ordered flowers to be delivered on Valentines Day three days ago. I spoke to Mike on the phone. First of all, he was sarcastic and dismissive on the phone. Secondly, Valentines Day came and went and no flowers were delivered. I called him last night after hours to leave a message, yet he has no business voice mail. I just called him again this morning to make sure he was not going to charge my credit card. I ordered my flowers for Mother's Day and my flowers were not delivered at all, when I called I was transferred to Mike, the owner of the store. The guy was very rude. I am very disappointed the flowers and chocolate box were not delivered and he did not refund me my money back. The good thing is that I already filed a complaint against him. I ordered flowers for my nephew's funeral and when I arrived at the funeral home I have never been so embarrassed in my life!! The flowers I ordered from Designs By Mike website did not look ANYTHING like what they showed in the picture. I know it's been a while since I ordered flowers but I expected a little more for $75 than a little vase with flowers just 'stuck" in there like you would get from a grocery store for $9.99!!! I placed an order for flowers to my grandmother on November 27. Mike called that night and said he would have to deliver tomorrow. I said that was fine. The flowers never came! I called the shop multiple times and the number is not in service. I don't live in the area so sent my mother to the shop. Mike made excuses, but said he would refund my $67.00. It has been a while since I have had customer service like this. I ordered flowers to be sent to the elementary school here in Wendell for my little sister. Here it is 6pm on Valentine's Day and I get a call from my sister and she didn't receive anything. I called the shop and apparently it was still on the truck to be delivered, (it accidentally got put in the front of the truck) TO THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. So, the man proceeds to tell me that it is my fault because I waited until last minute. (I placed the order on the 12th). Mike stated that I have 364 days during the year to place the order. Also mentioning that he is backed up and still has flower arrangements he hasn't made yet. Good customer service would be calling me ahead of time and telling me he was backed up so I could have called someone else. Which I WILL do and encourage anyone else to do in the future. Also, here it is Saturday, when I asked for a refund TUESDAY, and I still haven't received it yet bc he hasn't went through the cancellations. Never once was there an apology. It was all my fault because I ordered on the 12th (even though the website advertises same day delivery) TERRIBLE. Absolutely terrible. read more

I ordered flowers for my parents 50th anniversary on Saturday and included that I would like them delivered on the same day. I called my parents that evening and found out they had not been delivered. I then did a quick google search and started reading all of the bad reviews and I got really nervous that my parents may never get their flowers. Sunday afternoon I called Mike and left a message. A couple hours later he called me back and was extremely nice and helpful. It turns out he did try to deliver them twice on Saturday but they weren't home. He personally took them on Sunday but the address I had given them wasn't correct. It was all my fault that he wasn't able to deliver them in the first place. He was so nice about it and didn't even give me a hard time considering I had caused him additional work. I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and kindness that he took to make sure my parents got their flowers and chocolates that I ordered. I'm not sure why so many other people have left bad reviews because I can tell you what I will definitely be using him in the future. He was great. I can't say enough kind words about him or his flower shop. read more
