We used Flowers By the River for our wedding Labor Day weekend and were so pleased with how everything came out! They did an incredible job with our bouquets, center pieces, and flowers for the ceremony!! They always responded quickly to our emails and even provided buckets filled with water to keep the flowers blooming as we had to pick them up the day prior to our wedding. We also asked them to provide 4 vases filled with flowers that could be hung for our reception which they did beautifully. I have gone to this shop before to purchase flowers for my mother as well as my wife on several occasions and have loved the results. My husband ordered a flower arrangement for me for Mother's Day from this local florist. 1st, the delivery was scheduled for early Sat morning- no delivery. We are about to leave, when they call to say it will be another hour, but he gets them down to a half hour. An hour later, he calls them and they say they delivered the flowers to a house with construction work underway and they were accepted. Our house, no costruction, has our house number clearly visible and the flower card envelope has my name & address clearly written on it. They go back to the wrong house & get the flowers -which were unwrapped, and REDELIVER them to me!!! SECONDHAND FLOWERS!!!! PS, several of the flowers are turning brown and the green filler branches are already dropping leaves. Totally unprofessional, horrible customer service. We will not be using this florist ever again. Flower buyers beware! read more

I received the most horrible arrangement of flowers as a gift from Flowers by the River in Califon. The person spent 55.00 on this arrangement and there was only about 10 flowers and mostly filler in it. I went to them and tell them how unhappy I was and how small the arrangement was for the money spent. The owner just looked at me and said she was sorry and offered no solution. She even had an attitude! This is a small town and you try to use local business's. Never again will I use or recommend this flower shop. read more

Was recently staying in Califon and was in search of a florist to make an arrangement for an informal, family gathering. Was delighted to find Flowers By the River just down the street from where I was staying. I was absolutely thrilled by the service I received and the arrangement. They arrangement was just what I envisioned and everything I hoped it would be. It's truly amazing that they were able to translate my very sketchy description of what I wanted into a beautiful, stunning arrangement. It was a pleasure to work with them and I appreciated not trying to be up-sold on the container (plastic was fine; no need for a fancy glass vase) and I appreciate their time and patience. The recipient of the arrangement, and everybody who saw it, couldn't say enough good things about it. Thank you for a job very, very well done.
