Oh my goodness!!! Where do I start? I was driving home on an early Sunday afternoon and happened to take High St. because there was a backup on 71 and 670. Well, low and behold this route change was a blessing in disguise because Orchard Lane's pop up flower truck was parked on the corner of Hubbard and High, which is a block from my apartment! I parked my car at home and walked my little butt right up there. Even just driving by I could tell that the flowers were gorgeous and I deserved a little pickmeup, I had to get some! I got there quickly and took a spot in line while I admired the variety of bouquets they had available. I honestly wanted every one of them, they were all amazing. Once it was my turn I asked the lady running the show about the price and what not and then narrowed down my choices. Each bouquet was priced at $25 and I had a little bit of sticker shock... But I calmed myself by remembering that they're a small local business trying to make ends meet in the middle of a pandemic. Plus the quality and variety of flowers was well beyond what you would find at the grocery store. Running into them on the street was one of the highlights of my day and I can't wait to continue grabbing flowers from them. While they have a shop on Orchard Lane, they also drive this adorable truck around and host pop-up shops in areas like the Short North and German Village. Grabbed flowers from their flower truck when they came to the community market near me! I love the concept of flowers on the go and it was a great excuse to treat myself. Their truck had a great selection of flowers and the bouquet was beautiful! It's fall season and I feel like the flowers have a fall-esque vibe! They were so friendly and gave instructions on how to care for the flowers! My only wish was that they provided flower food! It helps flowers last longer and can be a hassle to make at home if you don't have all of the ingredients! With their instructions, the flowers went about 4 days before they started dying. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD END PRODUCT, BAD VALUE I wanted to love this place. They've recently relocated to my neighborhood so I thought I'd give them a try. I send tulips annually to family friends in remembrance of their son, my friend, who passed. I requested a $70 arrangement and very intentionally spelled out what the card should say, asking them to read it back to me. The friends received the flowers and sent me a photo. I was shocked. The family received a dozen tulips in a plain vase (for $70!) and the message on the card was so wrong it changed the meaning. Even my name was incorrect. I was upset - embarrassed and frustrated! I left two messages explaining my dissatisfaction, requesting some kind of remedy, and asking for a return call. No response. Highly disappointing. read more

Our Canadian family sent us flowers in remembrance of my mother who recently passed away. Later I learned that they Googled our address so they could use a local florist. I had yet to personally visit this shop, but will. The fresh flower arrangement was absolutely beautiful! The flowers lasted well into two weeks and I pulled the remaining flowers to use in a smaller vase. Now for the WOW factor, the arrangement was like having two in one big fish bowl vase. I sent our family a short video on how stunning they looked. This is such a clever idea! I will certainly use Flowers On Orchard Lane. And, with the frigid weather we were having, the florist was unable to leave the flowers as we were not home, but left us a note to call them so they could deliver. I ordered flowers for my wife on the anniversary of the passing of a family member. I try to support neighborhood businesses whenever possible so I went with Orchard Lane Flowers. They were friendly on the phone as I explained who/what the flowers were for and the kind of flowers that she generally liked and delivery was scheduled for the same day. When I got home from work, I was shocked at what was delivered. The price of the arrangement with a $12 delivery charge (we live two blocks away on Arden Road) was $104. For the $104 she received 6 flowers (including 3 snap dragons) and a lot of green - the arrangement was underwhelming to say the least and in hindsight I would have been much better off going to Kroger. I don't want a refund and I don't want replacement flowers as the moment has passed and what we received made a difficult day worse. I am embarrassed to have my name on the arrangement and Orchard Lane should be too. read more

Every Monday (10-2) and Saturday morning, they have a cooler clean out event where they offer everything that they have let over from the week at deeply discounted prices. This past Saturday, I stopped in and got the most beautiful deep purple hydrangeas for $1.00 a stem. There were so many flowers to choose from that it was hard to pick just one. I plan on stopping by every Saturday to get fresh (and affordable) flowers for my house. They're located right behind the south end of the Clintonville Farmers market off of Orchard. They are not a retail store, you will see their door open in the alley. I'm definitely going to be a regular here! read more

I first would like to say that I don't think I was the easiest bride to work with, I probably changed my order about 5 times and have a slightly "alternative eye" but they still worked with me and gave me a beautiful product and all with graceful attitudes. Initially, I knew I wanted drooping romantic centerpieces with tuberose, freesia, amaranthus, gold skeleton leaf, and celosia. What I loved most about Jan was that she worked with me and fed off of my creativity (or lunacy) and added specific flowers or greenery to make the centerpieces whole. I also gasped when I saw my bouquet, it was that romantic vision I wanted, and was also gorgeous- the day was great and my flowers were breathtaking!! The flowers expected and received were much different than the pictures we discussed and arrived 2. 5 hours late! The day of delivery, I couldn't get a hold of anyone on the phone, email, or Instagram. I ordered two header pieces for a chuppah and two chair swags. She told me during ordering that I was supposed to have a wooden back piece to help the header pieces from falling towards the ground but they didn't come with them. I couldn't even use the chair swags because my ceremony was starting within 15 minutes of delivery so we didn't have enough time to put the header and chair swags together. The WEEK before the wedding Kasey said she wouldn't be able to install the header pieces but it would be easy to do with zip ties or I could cancel my order. She received additional orders that were more profitable, so she left me with no choice the WEEK before! The header pieces only came two zip ties and the header pieces fell towards the ground. The pictures we discussed and what she delivered were vastly different. She never responded to an email expressing my concerns. Communication with orchard lane via phone/email was overall very poor even throughout the process, which should have given me a hint. WATCH OUT before selecting this vendor for your wedding day! Her personality can steer you differently but she is not punctual or professional which leads to a very stressful wedding day! read more

Flowers on Orchard Lane created the most stunning arrangements for my parents' 50th anniversary dinner: lush, fragrant, colorful and literally over the top as they were perched on high glass vases so our guests could see each other easily. I worked with Jan, after drooling over every arrangement and bouquet on the website. She respected my moderate budget, listened to everything I wanted, and promised I'd be happy. Happy? No. That is the understatement of the century. Her arrangements were glorious. Take your breath away. Gasp-worthy. Perfectly tuned to the event and formality of the room. Picture white and soft purple hydrangeas, cherry stem roses, hot and pale pink roses, including full blown David Austins, and you've just got the smallest hint of her creativity. Then inhale. It was as if she'd transformed each table into an elegant French garden. She took the best of the season, added our required pink roses to reflect what my mother carried as a bride, and brought it all beyond our wildest dreams. She even asked about allergies so our arrangements wouldn't cause problems...a much appreciated thought. That meant her stunning peonies had to stay in her shop, but our flowers were still breathtaking, in the best way. She is now our chosen florist in Columbus, and I can't wait to see what she creates for upcoming holidays. We had been loyal to another local florist for more than 20 years, but when they handed me an old FTD arrangement book and suggested I look there for our flowers, I took a wild leap and made the change. If you don't have time to shop around for several florists before planning a wedding (or any other event!) let me save you some time -- just use FoOL! I was nervous about working with a florist. I had a vision (which was a little atypical for a wedding), but I needed some industry knowledge and guidance. Jan was everything I wanted her to be, taking my ideas and making them work. I wanted someone who would give their own creative input, as long as it enhanced my vision, which was sort of hard to describe. Don't be intimidated by FoOL's presence in the high-end echelon of wedding vendors. I think they would be absolutely happy to work within any budget, offering less expensive flowers that can achieve a similar look to more spendy options. I was really concerned the orchids would be too expensive in the quantities I wanted them, but turns out they weren't as pricey as I thought (and we came up with some alternatives just in case). I got married downtown on New Year's Eve in a very modern space in a black-tie setting, so when it came to flowers, it was a bit of a challenge. Nothing was "in season" per se. While I wanted the ceremony to feel soft and romantic, I wanted everything else to feel like -- well, a New Year's Eve party! So, the usual wedding flower suspects just wouldn't do. Structured blooms were the answer-- like orchids. We went with lots of "greenery" that wasn't green (dark red "tea leaf", a few painted sprays of gold leaves, etc). This particular look was what I wanted, but not necessarily in my personal design comfort zone. With Jan's help, it was drop-dead gorgeous for the occasion. Because flowers weren't particularly seasonal, FoOL helped with an incredible candle display in the ceremony room. We had literally hundreds of candles lining the free form "aisle" with white rose petals almost looking like drifted snow. The effect was magical. So, think of them for more than just flowers! Think of them for more than just weddings, too. On several occasions I've called and ordered arrangements for a special bouquet. I just give them the occasion (birthday, special houseguest, special dinner party) and a dollar amount, and let them go nuts. I've never been disappointed. I was able to purchase some beautiful flowers for a bridal shower I hosted (I just needed the stems, I did the arrangements myself at home) -- and when I arrived for pickup, they showed me an area where they were selling over-bought stems from weddings. They were kind of the "leftovers" if you will, but still gorgeous and not slated for specific use. This was in the early summer, so in addition to my order, I snapped up some gorgeous peonies at a more-than-reasonable price! I think during the Clintonville farmers' market (which occurs very near the shop), you can mosey in and peek at the wedding leavings. I seriously wish I could work here. They also sell some vintage and new jewelry and some small hostess gifts. It's a gorgeous place to put together something lovely for a friend, mother, or sister. Also, FoOL knows and works well with Jan Kish of La Petite Fleur. Having the two of them be familiar with each other was super helpful, because they could coordinate where they needed to. read more
