I haven't eaten on that side of my mouth for two years. I go to see him months after the pull and he tells me " it looks like whoever pulled the tooth cracked the tooth beside it" so he sends me to his friend (affiliate) she tells me there is no crack but she sees a cavity and has to do a root canal. I refuse the root canal because I showed no cavity on X-ray. So, I go to another dentist NOT affiliated with them and he tells me he sees NO cavity and NO crack. My old insurance was running out ironically around the time my tooth started hurting so I went back to him because he was close and really wanted to see what he says this time. I gave him a recap of everything that happened and of course this time he sees no cavity or crack. I had a cleaning scheduled, again trying to use coverage, but the billing lady called and gave me a price larger than expected so I questioned it. And in rude form ,as she always is ,she gives attitude and tells me if I have two insurances by law she has to charge me both deductibles even if one covers it. I checked with three other dentists and they say that's not true. So, I cancel the appointment. I will be calling the dental board to find out this information as well. I guess this office doesn't believe in patients advocating for themselves ,because after I get a letter stating they will not service me any longer. What a joke! I wasn't coming back there anyhow!!! I was using that insurance up quick that expired in 2 days for a cleaning. Now that my new insurance has started I was definitely looking for a dentist and office that doesn't give bad advice, refer to affiliates , and respect their patients' rights! Dr. Brad Williams & his staff are PHENOMENAL…read more I originially chose this dentist because it was a preferred provider under my dental insurance First great thing about this practice is the "down home" feeling you get as soon as you walk in the office. They have televisions and coffee in the waiting room and I almost forgot I was at the dentist! The receptionist was so polite and attentive. I didn't have time to brush my teeth before leaving work so she directed to the rest room where they have disposable tooth brushes, tooth paste, floss, and mouthwash all for your use. The dental hygenist who performed my first cleaning was hilarious and very thorough and gave me some pointers on flossing, choosing a good tooth brush and what not. She constantly asked me if I was ok and made sure I felt no discomfort. After the cleaning I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Williams and he was funny and nice also. The office staff are like a big family and while you are there you almost feel like an extended family member. Anyways...he told me of the multiple cavities I had lol and they came up with a treatment plan. The treatment plan was soooo organized and....great lol. It tells you how much you expect to pay out of pocket and what will be performed and it was just...great (once again) I mad appointment for the end of the month to start on my treatment plan, however about two weeks before my appointment I had some pain and called and requested a sooner appointment, they made me an appointment for the next day! Now to the great part, my root canal During my root canal they gave me a warm blanket and I was able to watch television and I felt NO PAIN. Even the injection part, the part I hate the most was nearly painless! I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. Dr. Williams and his staff were great and he even gave me a prescription just in case I had some pain afterwards. And to top it off Dr. Williams personally called me to make sure I was ok a couple hours after my appointment. I have been to at least a 6 different dentists, and not one has ever called me afterwards to see how I was doing. Dr. Williams and his staff are amazing and I HIGHLY recommend them!

When placing the bridge for permanent, I felt a tingle and weakness to the tooth placement next to it. I adamantly spoke my concerns to which I was ignored and they continued the placement without a 2nd review. Now, the bridge, (so disgusted after the cost they charged), is breaking off bits of porcelain just brushing my teeth. And to it's final falling out of place, as no post was planted and no connected to tooth as should for strength. I went in person to address, called to address (person just ignored calls). Could it be person knew they did low-grade dentistry thus did not want to confront the facts and a fix? I do not recommend or support the workmanship or products they purchased to do this procedure. Having had bridges prior of other business for 15+yrs and still solid, I am totally disappointed. Let's go inside, shall we? The facility is extremely clean and well kept. Next, the staff here are amazing. My appt was at 8am on Thursday and I was checked in and in Xray within 5 minutes of completing my paperwork. After the Xray and consultation I had to finish the paperwork and billing. Man, I was so happy to see how reasonable the pricing was for yanking my tooth. My first dental assistant Krystal was a very kind and patient tech. She asked me all those questions she needed and made me feel comfortable even as I had anxiety. She literally calmed my nerves. Right before the procedure I had another tech - Allison whom was equally efficient and hit my vein for my IV on the first try! She was pleasant and continued treating me with care and love. As for the surgeon Dr Hall, I loved this guy. He went through all of my history, quickly identified the issue and discussed the plan of attack. I was up and walking around soon after - please forgive my lack of attention to detail about the timing b/c I was woozy, but it was quick. Moreover, my recovery wasn't too bad either. While my face feels like I just got done fighting a kangaroo, there's surprisingly a small amount of pain. If you have an emergency or want to plan any number of dental or oral procedures, look no further than Access Oral Surgery in Summerville. The prices are reasonable, the staff is phenomenal, my procedure was quick and the recovery is fast.
