I repeatedly had to ask for a clear breakdown of the settlement, medical bills, costs, and distribution. I also requested an electronic copy of my complete case file because I wanted to understand how my case had been handled. The explanations I received did not resolve my concerns about the charges or why my share was so much lower than I expected. Clients should be given accurate information about all treatment options, including the potential costs of attorney-referred providers versus using their own insurance. They should also receive clear and timely accounting without having to push for basic answers. This review reflects my personal experience and the communications and settlement documents I received. I am extremely disappointed and would advise potential clients to ask detailed questions, compare medical costs, obtain everything in writing, and carefully review every lien before agreeing to treatment.

Because the court required detailed information regarding service attempts, a court clerk also contacted the company seeking the dates and times of any attempts. At that time, the requested information was not provided. My hearing proceeded without the service information, and the matter was concluded shortly thereafter due to the lack of completed service. Several hours later, at approximately 12:27 PM on March 9, 2026, after the hearing had already ended, the company sent a report containing alleged service attempts from March 5 through March 8. My concern is not simply whether service attempts were made. My concern is that the information was not made available before the hearing, when it was actually needed. As a result, the service had no practical value to me at the time of the court proceeding. After I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer, the company continued to send invoices and informed me that finance charges would accumulate and that the account may eventually be sent to collections.

I hired Make 'Em Pay for a rush small claims service and told them from the beginning there were…read moretwo defendants at the same address. Because it was a rush job, they only had a few days to complete service. They failed to do it in time, forcing me to request a court extension. Even after the extension, they still treated the case like a normal-speed job despite charging me for rush service. The process dragged from May 21 to July 6 (46 days). I paid $212, but they served only one defendant and did not file the proof of service. Now I have to spend another $100 to have the second defendant served and pay extra to file the proofs of service for both defendants. Had I hired a different process server from the beginning, both defendants would have been served and both proofs filed for $170 total. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to make it right, they repeatedly hid behind their policies and blamed me. I paid more, waited longer, and still had to hire someone else to finish the job. Terrible customer service and a very disappointing experience.
