We had some construction done on our place and had a one time post construction cleanup. The intake / appointment process was super easy and Maggy Maid has really good customer service. Maria and Andrea were great! They listened to our concerns and did exactly what we asked for. They were also efficient. We're really happy with how clean and tidy everything is. The one snag was that they were 50 minutes early and didn't let us know until they were at our door. Luckily we were nearby so that wasn't a problem. We repeatedly asked for their insurance information to file a claim and never received it. Communication stalled and no resolution was offered. Yesterday 2 cleaners came by to clean a small mother-in-law suite that someone had just move out of. When I called I specified that I needed the walls and ceilings cleaned and if that considered it a double deep clean, I'd be happy to pay for it. She said the cleaners could asses and let me know if it was considered a double deep clean upon arrival. When they arrived they told me that they don't do walls because people have complained about them damaging the paint and charged them for it. I reassured that we are going to be painting so clean away. The cleaners were a very sweet older couple. Where they cleaned they did a good job. The place was pretty dirty. Somehow after their cleaning for the final inspection they informed us that the toilet was leaking. It was not leaking before the cleaning. We assessed the walls and in the kitchen my husband said did you guys clean this wall, the cleaner said yes that's chipping paint not dirt. My husband wiped his finger and grease came along with it. There were clearly food splatters still on the wall. Bathroom had the same dirty walls. The oven still had a big mark at the bottom and he told me that they couldn't remove burnt things. It is possible, I've done it cleaning many times. But since he wouldn't admit any of it could be done we just let them go. Again what they did do looked much cleaner. Why didn't Maggie Maids convey that the walls and ceilings needed to be cleaned? Why didn't they send someone who was willing to do the 1 task I specified? Now, if it stopped there I wouldn't bother writing a review. What happened next was a shock. About an hour after their departure, I get a text from the cleaners. They got a parking ticket while cleaning and sent a picture ($65) I told them that I was sorry that happened there is street sweeping on Mondays on one side of the street. I called Maggie Maids because it became clear the cleaners wanted me to pay for their ticket. Maggie Maids said yes, we gave them your number and encouraged them reach out to you to pay for the ticket. What?! They explained that access to parking is in the policy I signed. I explained that there is access to parking including our driveway. Maggie Maids called the cleaners and then called me back. Maggie Maids said yes the cleaners admit that there was plenty of parking options and will not pressure me to pay the ticket. Then said but will you please pay them some of their ticket at least I feel bad for them. Now they are only getting half of their- and she stopped, I said they're only getting half of what?! She ignored the question and said "I just feel bad for them will you consider paying the ticket or paying them part of it?" I said they made an honest mistake as adults it's unfortunate but no. Then I asked again only half of what? Then she gets cheery "thank you for using Maggie Maids. Have a good day." If the end of "only half of " is half what they earned then Maggie Maids should feel bad. I paid $270 for the cleaning. If the cleaners only got $120 then that's terrible of Maggie Maids. After some debating if we were the ass**** we did send $$ them for most of the ticket. Both Maggie maids and the cleaners thanked me for my generosity. So not only do I have to finish the job I paid for but I was guilt tripped for not paying for their parking ticket. It was wild. Do not recommend! read more

I found Maggymaid online with good reviews on Google review (I should've check yelp too) so I ordered their service, I paid $454 for a 2b3b condo, the two ladies spent around 2-3 hours in total. however, the tenants are very unhappy with the results, the trash under the bed still there, hairs in the bathroom, pill on the floor of the kitchen, they asked me to hire another company to redo the cleaning services after Maggymaid charge me $454. BTW, I cleaned the trash can myself when I called Maggymaid said they don't clean the trash can and I wiped the marks on the wall and stains on the floor after the lady left, too bad, sometimes you have to do the job even you paid others. read more

A quick summary if you don't want to read this long review: Not only is their quality variable and service to customers poor, but they treat their cleaners TERRIBLY. I would never hire from them again and highly recommend that you do not, either. I was shocked by my experience with Maggy Maids. We used them three times, and the first two were fine. I liked that you could schedule online, and the cleaners who arrived were friendly and did a great job (two cleaners both times, stayed for about 2.5 hours at our 2bd/2bth place). The third time, the cleaners I had requested did not show up, it was one woman I did not know. She was on her own and spent about 90 minutes cleaning (she was kind, and is not personally responsible for my negative experience with Maggy Maid). We found it was a very surface-level clean (didn't move chairs to vacuum under them, there were many many undusted surfaces, some of the messier spots in our home were untouched - see attached photos, which I took when I got home). She used our paper towels to clean, which left white fuzz over many surfaces. The hardest part for me: she used the abrasive paper towel to scrub our new SS stove top, which is now irreparably scratched. ALL THIS SAID, I contacted Maggy Maid to inform them, explicitly stating that I did not want to get the cleaner in trouble - I wanted to provide feedback for their use. Their response was (a) they are busy and short-staffed and could not inform me that someone else would be cleaning, and (b) they are only a referral agency and can't control the quality of the cleaning. I disagree - (a) if you had time to find a new cleaner, you had time to text me a new cleaner was coming, and (b) as a referral agency the quality of the cleaners you refer is your number one responsibility. After few back-and-forths, they said they weren't charging me, and the cleaner would not be paid. I would never take money from the cleaner, nor did I ask to - I specifically stated (this is an actual quote from my email): "She should receive her full wage [...] but I do expect a refund of MMs portion." Then, after telling me they were NOT paying her because of my complaint, they stated in an email to me that the cleaner could "pursue her pay". She called me today and I sent her the money that they did NOT give her. The fact that they left a cleaner and a customer to personally work this out feels incredibly unprofessional and a bit violating. When José first came in, during the initial walkthrough he talked at length about everything he would NOT be doing because I did not pay for a "deep clean". Which frankly is a turn off. Who starts any customer experience with what they're not getting because they didn't pay more? When he and Sandy were done, José showed me the many photos he had taken on his phone of his "work". Unfortunately, that time would have been better spent on the job itself because there was still dust and hair on floors and surfaces. I ended up vacuuming and wiping areas after he and Sandy left. Other cleaning services in the area cleaned my entire house (no restrictions on rooms/bathrooms) more thoroughly for cheaper (and that's after Maggy Maid's "$40 promotional coupon"). Other cleaning services didn't show up and make comments like "this shower is not included, this area we're not dusting". They had a flat rate, got right to work and got the job done - Which again was completed at less cost in the same amount of time. **see my previous 5 star review to find out who the other stellar cleaning service is! Ultimately, you know when someone is doing half hearted work and when it is detail oriented work. As if to explain the mediocre service, at the end José hands his personal business card with the pitch of cheaper, better service when I book directly with him rather than through a referral agency like Maggy Maids. Exceptionally terrible experience. I booked a deep clean & knew that's not what I was going to get when the 2 cleaners were done with the 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & 2 windows in less than an hour. I went to check on their work & found hair on the bathroom floor, dust on the baseboards & light fixtures, tub/shower hadn't been properly scrubbed, windows weren't cleaned at all, etc. I immediately called Maggy Maid expressing my disappointment & asked them to send the crew home because I just knew they wouldn't deliver the deep clean I needed. I wanted to nip it in the bud & reschedule with a new crew, but they said they'd speak with the cleaning crew & straighten things out. From there, it was super awkward as the cleaning crew confronted me about not liking their work & asked me to point out what I didn't like. They went back to "touch up" the bedrooms & bathrooms while I checked on the kitchen & living room. Same story there. They basically did what I do on a weekly basis which is not what I requested. I ended up on the phone with Maggy Maid 3-4 times & also sent several emails with photos of the poor cleaning job. They tried to pressure me into paying a reduced rate of $250 for the cleaning despite the fact that it was not even close to what I asked for. The whole experience was a disaster. My place was not deep cleaned. I wasted a ton of time on the phone & emailing. I felt awkward in my own home. The cleaning crew ended up rudely storming out. I hugely regret using Maggy Maid. Since David was so kind to respond, I should add that while the maids were rudely & abruptly storming out, they said they would not be charging me anything. I do not recommend this company. I wanted general cleaning service for my 5 bedroom home. The first time they came they did a good job (man and woman team). They charged me $340. The second time they came, I was not home and they were only at the house for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I saw when they came and left on my cameras in front of my house. They did not vacuum any of the carpets or rugs- there was lint, little toys and items in the same place as when I left that morning. They did not dust. They did not clean the mirrored doors or windows. They only spot mopped the non-carpeted floors. They charged my card $289. When I called them to complain they offered to send the same person out on Friday evening (when my whole family was home) to "touch up." When I told them I didn't want that person back in my house, they have ignored my emails and texts regarding my dissapointment. Terrible service. The first cleaning I booked was great, no problems. The second was fine. The third never happened! I prepared my home twice for cleaning, arranged my day around it, and both times they had to reschedule. The first time I said sure, tomorrow is fine. But then, the next day, they texted me half an hour before the cleaners were supposed to arrive to reschedule AGAIN. I said no, just cancel it. I'm sure they wouldn't show up the next day either. I had a terrible experience with Maggy Maid and I do not recommend them at all. First of all, the cleaner did not arrive at the scheduled time because "they confused the times". I agreed to a later time, but the cleaner was still 30 minutes late. Second, the cleaner arrived without a mask on (totally unsafe during a global pandemic) and wore her shoes throughout my home. Third, and most egregious, the cleaner did an absolutely terrible job. I am not sure what Maggy Maid considers a home cleaning or how they train their cleaners, because the cleaner did not clean the floors, the bathroom, surface areas, or dishes. This was an absolute waste of time and money and, further, a safety threat. This business takes no pride in the quality of its service or safety of its clients. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. read more

This is my second time using Maggy Maid. The service I received from the cleaners were excellent so no complaints with them. However my issue was with the overall experience. First, there seemed to be a lot of confusion on the size/number of bedrooms my apartment has. I confirmed that I had a studio apt, yet Maggie maid felt the need to verify the number of rooms in the apt thru Zillow which is managed by land lords and property management which can be exaggerated on websites like this. They assured me that my apt is a one bedroom and not a studio which it indeed is. The fact that this was done felt a bit intrusive and not trusting of their customers especially w it being my first time. After a back and forth discussion I was told that they would charge me the price of a one bedroom and then have the cleaners would confirm if it were a studio. That never happened. I followed up and never received any adjustment or follow up on the size of my apt. I've never had any service do this and although I was turned off, I decided to give her them another try bc the actual cleaning service was great. Now this is yet another occasion in using this service and I was called by customer service at the time of my appt to notify me that the cleaners were at my apt and looking for parking. I was confused why this needed a phone call. I explained to them that there is parking along the street however I'm not sure why this is communication I need to give and further more need to provide instructions on. The representative said that if the cleaners had to pay for parking that I would be responsible for parking. I'm sorry but what?! In what world does a customer have to provide payment for parking when they provide services to clean their home?! This is a service that you provide and it should be reflected in the prices. If this is a major issue then maybe service shouldn't be provided in the Dtla area where parking can sometimes be an issue! Needless to say this company has turned me off too many times and it's just not worth the hassle. Of course the cleaners parked in a lot which charges well over 10 an hour. It's very unfortunate that I had a bad experience with Maggy Maid as they responded quickly to my messages and from the brief encounter I had with the two cleaners they sent, they seemed lovely. But sadly, after they left, the house was still dirty. I specifically booked a Move In/Post Construction clean and was told it was a flat rate that included all the extra cleaning. As it was my first time, I didn't realize I had to do a detailed inspection during the final walkthrough and at first glance, things looked good. But after they left, I found dust covering a lot of the furniture, there was debris on the floors and apparently my husband had asked them to skip his room because he was working (and they did not report this to their manager, so I was charged fully) During their followup call, I told them of my disappointment and they offered to send someone back in an hour, but because I had to make special arrangements for my dog to be away/was working, I couldn't just pickup and leave again and I had already done another sweep/clean myself. Overall just felt very disappointed that I paid $$$ for a cleaning and basically had to clean all over again myself. Was looking for a company to come monthly and now I know Maggy Maid is not reliable for that. read more

We have a quite small 1 bdr apartment (~510 sqf) and have booked a 3 hour deep cleaning with 2 cleaners for the first time. The team seemed friendly and professional. I made a checklist of all the areas I wanted to be cleaned so it was easier for the team to use as a reference and for me to walkthrough afterwards (I recommend everybody to do this). Michael told me they might need 30 more minutes to cover everything so we prioritized the areas that for sure needed to be cleaned first. Yes, they covered 90% of the list but I was so impressed how well they cleaned the bathroom and my kitchen!
