I'm reviewing Kirby more than Floyd's barbershop. I followed him over there from fantastic. Sam's in Loveland. He's been doing my hair for quite a while. Always does a great job. Always ask what I'm wanting. And we always have good conversation. Haven't had a haircut yet for anybody else out there, but the place was nice clean atmosphere was pleasant. Requested a mid fade, stylist decided to do his own thing and give me a high N tight. Completely hate this hair cut and will never go back to this guy again. Trusted in his skill was completely let down. You give someone your trust and simple instructions and no idea was going on in his head. I brought my 9 year old daughter in for a haircut. They charged me $60 which I understand Is a normal price, I expected to pay that. What I did not expect was that it took 15 minutes, no shampoo or blow dry and style. I was uncomfortable to complain because my best friend is a stylist (not at Floyd's) and I didn't want to cause a big fuss. We just moved to this area so that's why I brought my daughter to this place. I don't recommend going here. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Alex G. for being a rockstar! My hair was to the middle of my back and I was ready for a major change, but my hair sometimes requires "special" care. As I requested, he did a rockin razor cut for me, cutting off at least 12" of hair. I also requested that a brush not be used to dry my hair because it has a tendency to frizz out if a brush is used. As requested, he did not use a brush. His approach is gentle and efficient; I have never had anyone give me a razor cut in such a short amount of time, especially when going from such long hair. I absolutely love my new cut!!! He really is pretty awesome. Many thanks to you, Alex. (Once I get a good pic, I will update this post. In the meantime, trust me...it's very cool.) Oh yeah...vibe...great music and friendly staff as well as a ton of fun stuff to look at on the walls and plenty of product to choose from. Not a great visit. Made appointment to get my full beard taken down to a goatee and get a close shave. The stylist was totally non-commutative and did not listen to my ask. He just started in without asking me questions. He acted on over trimming my mustache and goatee so quickly that I could not stop him. I asked for sideburns and pointed to where I wanted them... he eliminated them almost totally. The shave hurt like heck. I expected a bit of discomfort, but he really hacked me up. First I'm gonna start off with saying, I like going to Floyd's, have been a loyal customer for my husband and my son for 6 years now. The past two time my husband has went for his hair cut he has had this lady named Nessa. I'm sorry to say but I don't think she should be cutting hair. She was telling my husband she is disabled and how she can't see out of one eye, shes unbalanced and other things,( absolutely zero hate to disabled people ) but she has messed up the way my husbands hair grow. She doesn't know what a skin fade looks like. I'm so disappointed! She forgets to do one side of my husbands sideburns. $60 is not worth it for a lady that absolutely down plays Floyd's! You guys have wonderful stylists though. We did go back and I wish I got the lady's name but I did not, I only got Tessa's name. But they were happy to fix husbands hair. But I did get a vibe that we were judged, did not like that but, Thank you so much! read more

I see Marco. Does a great job. Very professional and takes the time to make sure he has my hair exactly how I want it. I get a skin fade. I've done a lot of traveling and know it's hard to find a barber shop that is quality. Prices are higher than a low end chain, but you get what you pay for. read more

This is undoubtedly the one of the worst barbershops in Colorado. The barber I had kept giving me reasons why I couldn't get a fade (I've had fades for the last 5 years) and proceeded give me the shittiest haircut I've ever had. Great clips would've been better. Hat and hoodie time! read more

I walked in on a Sunday right after opening. Only waited about 15 min or so to get into a chair. The manager at the front was super nice, made sure they knew what I wanted and who to put me with (Also, the first dude that helped me was nice too, pretty sure that was Adam, thank you!). Being a female walking into Floyd's was kind of odd, BUT! Everyone was welcoming and nice! I knew they'd be experts with the clippers, when looking for what I was...only certain people can deal with that. Emily killed it! Thank you so much for taking my vision and performing your magic. I definitely recommend Emily and this location, Emily was super nice and open to suggestions instead of just hacking my hair off with her own vision and not mine. I was very disturbed reading a review someone wrote about Marco and not being gay friendly. First off let me start with Marco is awesome. He is amazing with some clippers!!! Then he tops it off with good conversation. I am gay and I have NEVER got a bad vibe from this salon and definitely not Marco!!!! That's pretty low to write that about someone when they can't defend themselves on here. I will always see Marco and it really saddens me someone has to hit below the belt. This is an lgbtq friendly place and the barbers are definitely all lgbtq friendly. I have yet to get a haircut I didn't like. Extremely rude staff. Unprofessional. Made my children upset with how rough they were with their haircuts. One lady in particular with a short buzzed haircut. Didn't make us feel welcomed but more like an inconvenience to them. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Jamaal is one hell of a barber. i came in with a botched haircut from the night before (different business) and he did his best to salvage the hair style i had before, but ultimately, and much thanks to his honesty, we had to go in a different direction with my hair. he had incredible patience with me as i was deciding what to do with my head and ultimately came out with an excellent cut. read more

I literally never write bad reviews but I honestly had the worst haircut of my life here and it was a very uncomfortable experience as well. If you're AFAB and looking for a masculine cut I would recommend looking for a queer friendly barbershop in Denver. A lot of places like to say they're LGBTQ friendly but this is mostly targeted at gay men not gender non conforming people. Marco kept saying that it would take a lot of styling to make my hair look correct but I walked out looking absolutely hideous with how he styled my hair. I'm going to be waiting the next two months for my hair to grow out into anything wearable. read more

Second bad hair cut at this location would have been fine however waited 20 minutes past appointment and the hair cut was painful. The staff seemed very unfriendly and unproductive. They gave me a 25% birthday discount for the 20 minute wait past my appointment. I should have just walked out. I'll go to the higher end salon down the road from now on at least they know how to use a pair of clippers and a scheduling system. read more

I had to get a reschedule appointment because my barber/stylist called out sick, no problem I understand with Covid and all take your health and sickness very seriously, My problem lies with who they rescheduled me with, Emily knows NOTHING about cutting "textured" hair, would not recommend to my worst enemy to have her cut your hair, Go Ahead and cut it yourself if you get Emily as your stylist, or better yet just ask for anyone else! Worst haircut I've received since I accidentally cut it off myself in the 3rd grade. Floyd's hates Seniors! Poor service! I arrived on-time for my booked appointment today. The randomly booked stylist was running behind. There was 1 person waiting and plenty of room and space in the waiting area to easily comply with COVID distancing practices. The hostess required me to wait outside in 12 degree weather for over 15 minutes without checking or any apparent concern. My wife dropped me off so I had no use or warmth of a vehicle. I now have a higher probability of contracting pneumonia with a higher mortality rate than COVID. Use common sense, which the hostess seems to severely lack, and treat your customers as if you would like them to return. After reading other reviews, this location has on-going and severe customer service issues. Best to avoid this location at ALL costs. They have lost my business for good and will actively advocate the avoidance of this business! read more
