I've made an account here simply because this experience struck me so soundly. This happened the…read moresame day as I'm writing this, 29 May 2018. My brother went here to get his hair cut a not terribly long time ago and had a satisfactory result. As such, I felt I would have just as good as an experience, and the bonus of being somewhere new to me. I was excited and nervous to enter a proper barber shop for the first time. There was no sign on the door for anything more than the hours that I could see, so imagine my surprise and disappointment to be completely turned away when I asked for my hair cut. I was told, "Sorry, we only cut men's hair," before I could even articulate that I just wanted my hair sliced off at the ponytail and made to be even and nothing more. Nothing fancy or elaborate, colored nor adorned. Stunned by what I heard, disappointed, and not wanting to make a scene, I simply left. Only once I looked up their website did they show any blatant indication of only cutting men's hair. I wish I knew that before heading in so I could have avoided the embarrassment of being somewhere I wasn't welcome.

The third time I arrived on time for my appointment, and they were late seating me. Had folks waiting with no appointments. The normal barber I had who took his time the last two appointments, hurried me because he wanted to get to the customers who didn't have appointments. That was disappointing, it was just another "Great Clips" haircut. And to top it off, I wasn't really happy with my haircut.

My husband explained exactly what he wanted. She just went in straight with the clippers after my husband told her he normally keeps it a bit longer. She asked him how he parts his hair and just buzzed the area. The cut was so uneven, long strands everywhere. My husband has blonde hair so I thought "oh just a few stragglers in the back" nope it like she just missed sections and never went back over them. I looked at the top ( where he normally keeps it longer) there was steps in his hair chunks just missing. I tried to reach out to the owner. I would avoid this place if you value the way your hair looks.

My daughter got her hair butchered by a new talent stylist named Leslie. Cut her hair wet, including face framing layers so obviously when she dried it the layers were awful & choppy. Typically it takes at least an hour for a new stylist cut if not longer, but my daughter was in/out in 35-40 min. In addition a more experienced stylist would inspect & give feedback- that didn't happen My daughter gave feedback about the experience to the checkout girl but there was no manager onsite to discuss further. I ended up calling later in the day to speak to a manager & was told she'd be in on 12/26 & to expect a call. The front desk person also said they've had problems with Leslie & she had already been talked to. Not much solace for my daughter, at least the bright side is her hair will grow back. I called the salon today, 12/27 and was told the manager Mack was on vacation so not sure why the previous person promised me a callback on 12/26 I asked if there was at least an asst mgr on today & was told no. Back in the day, stylists were fashionable & looked presentable with pretty hair, made you feel that the stylists were skilled Now it's come as you are, Leslie looked like she just in from a hike with hair in a ponytail, big flannel u buttoned shirt & jeans Posting here in case it helps someone in the future!
