I walked in with my dog without an appointment to inquire about grooming just my dog's head, ears and neck. Some groomers won't do a partial groom so I was glad to hear the groomer, Molli, had no problem with that. I told her about some of my dog's health issues and my concerns with regard to grooming and she was very understanding. Molli said she could fit my dog in and groom him right then and there which was awesome. She even asked me to show her the proper way to pick my dog up with his spinal issue which I really appreciated. I waited less than 10 minutes while she worked on my dog. I liked that I could look through the glass window of the door to the grooming area - and fyi, pet parents can see in so I'm perplexed by a previous reviewer stating otherwise - and saw my dog was relaxed and sitting nicely while being groomed. Standard Poodle had severe ear lacerations trauma after dog grooming appointment, my standard poodles ears are still extremely sensitive, the groomer said my dog shit all over & came out with several bleeding toes ears inside the canal looked like she ran a lacerated mixer In his ears...he was crying as soon as we got home & shaking his head non stop, called the place back & to this day I have never heard from them!! , I believe the low staff, groomers and working conditions caused undue stress for everyone. I was told that they are going out of business I left several messages with the owners and have never heard back from anyone. Supposedly the groomer moved across the street to another place that starts with an S!! the whole experience was so heartbreaking left a real ugly place in my stomach, the lack of care and respect for clients & dogs is heart breaking not to mention they canceled on me the first time that should have been a clear indicator. If you have a big dog run for the hills! Molly has been his groomer just about every time, and she really seems so love him (which always makes you feel good when you are dropping your pup off). Fluffy Tails has always done a great job on our pup. He always comes home looking great and seems to love Molly every time he sees her. I wish there was a way to see into the grooming area, just so that I as a customer could see how all of the animals are cared for. We had been here 3 times before and each time they told us our dog was wonderful and everything was done properly. The 4th time coming for a grooming, when we picked our 7 month old dog they told us she was very wiggly and got a couple of snips on her bottom. They mentioned they cut the hair out of only one ear as she would not let them do the other. That's all that was said. Immediately upon putting our dog in the car, she yelped when I touched her ear. She would not stop shaking her head and very sensitive. We called the groomer to ask if they had noticed anything. The person answering the phone told us to bring our dog back next day for the owner to see. Our dog had an awful day and was in pain all day. We come back there, make the effort to bring her in for the owner to see and talk to us. She said our dog probably had a ear infection and cutting the hair made it worse. Nothing was really resolved and was a waste of time for us. Bottom line, our dog came in there to be groomed and she left with a soar bottom and a terrible ear ache. The customer service and attitude showed towards the situation was uncomfortable and not of a caring owner. We came to the vet and the vet said this happens a lot but unfortunately he could not tell if there was an injury. But most likely whatever they did caused our dogs ear to be worse. It was an accident, I'm sure. I know they would not purposely hurt her. We just expected a better understanding and better customer service. We just don't trust to come back here. We should have been told that there was pain when cutting the hair in her ears. Now we are going on 3 days and our poor dog still in pain. She will heal, I know. But she is probably traumatized now, so are we! By the way, my vet bill was $175. If they had done their job right my dog would not be hurt and I would not have had to spend so much... Today I brought my shih tzu in for a 9 a.m. grooming appointment. I showed up at 8:45 and I was able to check her in within 5 minutes, including the consultation with the groomer. Normally her groom takes about 4 hours, but since she was the groomer's first appointment of the day I was promised that she'd be ready in about two hours. Right on time, I received a call that she was ready for pickup. The groom was done perfectly. My little love was very happy at pickup. The prices went up since my last visit, but not much. It was $46 (+tip) for a standard groom including ear cleaning and nail trim. This place is not smelly like some other local grooming shops. It's super clean and you can tell the groomers really care about the animals who come in here. I will definitely be back to Fluffy Tails! read more

My inner voice kept telling me not to leave my dog there. 4) I was NOT impressed with the "bath and brush" I received for $43. They were supposed to clean up the rear end and feet. The rear end was barely trimmed so I had to trim more when I got home. I also do not like the shampoo they use. We took our 8 month old old English sheepdog to Molly today and wow, we were impressed! Molly came out and greeted Max, let him kiss her and asked us exactly what we wanted done. She was very thorough and exceeded our expectations. Max was there for 5 hours and came out happy and looking fantastic! We will definitely go back to Molly! Where do I begin! Fluffy tails is amazing. I took 2 of my dogs there for the first time today. I was a nervous mom because I have a dog with a bad back and another with an interesting coat. I was thoroughly disappointed with our experience at Fluffy Tails. I had been taking my older pup to Fluffy Tails regularly for nail trims and they did a decent job. When my older pup passed away, I adopted a dog from a shelter that was in extreme need of grooming - his body (all 7 pounds of him) had been sheered by the shelter because his fur was so badly matted, but his face and his paws were overgrown and smelly, despite the shelters efforts. Having had a decent experience with my older pup at Fluffy Tails, I stopped in and explained the situation. The receptionist checked with the groomers and was told that they were too busy to fit in my new rescue and they could fit him in the next day - IN THE MEANTIME, the receptionist told me to HOSE off my pup in the backyard!!! I was disgusted by their lack of caring, especially for a pup in need! As I left, I did a search on yelp and found Aunt Tina's Pet Spa nearby. I stopped at Aunt Tina's and she fit me in, despite staying far past her closing time AND gave me a free grooming as a "gift" to our new pup. Horrible place. First off, they claim they use all natural stuff. I am chemically sensitive and got very sick when my girl got home. She stank of chemicals, which, btw, with their sensitive noses, dogs HATE, too. I called them, After keeping me on hold for a loooong time, they came back and supposedly read me the ingredients in the perfume they sprayed on her. Yeah, right. Like natural lavender smells like chemicals. Plus, we told them not to spray her or use anything except the shampoo we brought. In addition, they shaved off part of her skin in two places. We had to put Neosporin on them and they healed in a few days. read more

I had the worst experience with Fluffy Tails. They kept my dog for four hours and later called and said they could not cut her hair. They said she was got nervous, had a nose bleed and her eyes got very red. I ended up having to take her the the vet. She had a black eye due to a hemorrhaged eye. Not to mention she had some redness around her neck. I was more upset that they did not call sooner or mention that she had a black eye. Very unprofessional when I called to complain. Very disappointed!!! First time there went well but second time terrible. Not a good cut and hair was all over my car. Obviously had not been brushed out after the cut. The shedding was very bad. Never had this happen before and when I called to complain was told it was normal to shed fuzziness, this was not fuzziness it was a lot of hair all over. I just took my dog here for his second appointment. The first appointment went well about 6 months ago. Today was a different story. I arrived to check in at our scheduled time, the guy at the front desk began to confirm the services to be performed and stated we were there for a bath and brush, I corrected him that we were there for a haircut and that last time the service included bath, brush and full haircut. I told him I definitely wanted the haircut and he said "you realize that means taking length off". I confirmed that was what I wanted and the guy proceeded to tell me (in a very derogatory and snotty way) that I "clearly didn't understand what a haircut was" and that he needed to get someone from the back to explain it to me. I explained to him that I wanted the haircut and that was what I had made the original appointment for. He stated again that I didn't understand and he would get someone from he back. I told the guy that I was very displeased with his customer service and professionalism and he shrugged his shoulders. I told him that "I could just leave and cancel the appointment", his response was "why don't you do that". I've taken my young Yorkie to F.T 2 times. This time I took him in and after almost 4 hrs I had to call them to see if he was done. I was wearing a neck brace so I really didn't take a good look at him. When I got him in the car I could tell he was a MESS. They trimmed down his back, clipped his nails, trimmed around his collar area, and topped off a quick trim at the point of his Ears. He's a big Yorkie, they need a lot of grooming!!?, That was it! 4 hr's in a crate ta-boot! I called the next day and had to hold to wait to talk to Rose. I guess she has to know you in order to give you the attention your precious dog deserves, according to the 4 and 5 stars, because I complained about him not even getting a bath and she denied it.she said she personally saw him in the bath, I call BS ON THAT! ( you can tell and smell if they r bathed) his ears weren't plucked, his hair on his tummy, and legs and feet and hair between his toes, weren't trimmed, his mussel was still dirty, and in the same shape and cleanliness as when I took him there!!! TERRIBLE. I got emotional and a bit angry because she read off the sheet what he received while there, and when telling her all the things they didn't do, she took it personally and took no responsibility for it, just saying he was trimmed to my request. Really!! Nor did she even apologize! She did scold me and said I didn't need to yell at her, Really, you are denying everything a customer is telling you!!! And just telling me to bring him back was not enough!!! Where's the accountability, and her getting to the bottom of why he was groomed so poorly, and reporting back to me, Just bring him back? NEVER! Please don't go there, she has her favorites, and staff turn around, and you can't even see what is going on behind there very guarded door. Almost all shops let you see the grooming area. So a gentleman takes his dog here and they squeeze his head so tight his eyes hemorrhaged and his nose bled. When he asked what happened they said this was normal. I would never take my dog to any place that would say this is normal. After the vet bill and the medications to get the dog taken care of they still accept no responsibility. I took my Golden Retriever in to Fluffy Tails for a bath & brush. It was the 1st time I'd had her groomed there, although I had taken her in 3 other times to have her nails trimmed. The groomer came out to meet us and I told her that I would like her to shave the feet, but not to trim her anywhere else. I mentioned 3 times that I did not want her trimmed anywhere but her feet. She wasn't matted anywhere. They had said it would be about 4 hours. Almost 5 hours later when I called he said they had just finished her. I picked her up and her entire body had been completely trimmed. I called to talk to the manager/owner and she apologized. I asked for a refund for the grooming since I was very clear about what I didn't want. She told me I could come in and she would give me $10. At that point it was obvious I would be taking my dog somewhere else in the future. I went back the next day, the same man behind the desk asked me if he could help me, I gave him my name, he handed me the $10 and didn't say a word. If I had a local business and something like this happened I would be more concerned with trying to keep a customer and the future referrals. read more
