So several years ago Dr Chang fitted me for custom orthotics. He did it by putting my feet in the…read moreair and molding stuff to my feet - so creating the ground plane with his eyes not from any actual measuring or other equipment. I wore them (almost $300) for a year. At the end of the year I had terrible tendonitis in my left leg. I then spent a bunch of money trying to solve it, and the opinion of 2 docs at Uva, and 2 physical therapists was that the left orthotic made my foot roll out. I emailed and called Blue Ridge to discuss this, and at least get my money back. I never heard back from anyone. But beyond the money, I suffered a great deal of pain as a result of this improperly fitted orthotic and got no response at all. I finally got it solved by going to Rodney Madigan at Move Better PT. He looked at these orthotics and saw the issues. He worked with me which helped and sold me some off the shelf orthotics that addressed the supination in my right foot and solved the left leg issues. To me this is unbelievable. The worst service/medical experience of my life and I'm 63. Stay away!!!!

I went to see Dr. Murray (recommended by a PA as 'the best') for a Morton's neuroma in my foot. I…read morewas told my high arches has caused it, and a map for an orthotic was made, using an ipad to scat the sole of my foot. I had told Dr. Murray that I had had one prior steroid injection, which worsened the pain, and that I was not responsive to lidocaine as a numbing agent. I agreed to receive one injection from him, as the orthotics would take 2 weeks to be made and he assured me the prior doctor had 'done it wrong.' This is the most unbelievable pain I have ever had- And I have been treated for cancer, had many biopsies, and so on. I hopped out on one foot, and did not regain full weight bearing for a week. The pain at that point (post-injection) encompassed the outer third of my foot- and that has not changed since that time. I wore the orthotics for 2 months, came back, said it was no better, wore them for another 3 months- no better- arches more comfortable, but neuroma worse. This was the LAST visit I will ever make to this place. I was told that 1) I was wrong because 'steroids always relieve pain' so I could not, therefore, have pain. 2) He had NOTHING else to offer- no cryo freezing, no surgery, no alcohol injection- NOTHING. 3) I repeatedly asked if there was anything other than the steroid/lidocaine injection, and he got angry and dismissive, and told me that 'NO, This is all there is. If you change your mind, come back and I will give you another injection.' He had been rude and dismissive on the first post-injection visit, but I thought, 'well, everyone has an off day now and then.' but the next, and last, visit was even worse because the attitude was the same, and no viable treatment options were presented. I feel I wasted time and money here, and, in going here, allowed the neuroma to essentially be "untreated" for the better part of a year, as nothing he did helped it.

The entire team is welcoming, professional, and genuinely invested in helping patients succeed. Scheduling appointments is incredibly easy, and everyone in the office is friendly, accommodating, and organized. I have TRICARE Select, and the insurance process has been seamless thanks to their knowledgeable and helpful staff. One thing I really appreciate is their workflow. Patients are staggered every 30 minutes, and therapists work with no more than two patients at a time. The process is incredibly smooth and efficient--you never feel like you're sitting around waiting or competing for your therapist's attention. The care feels personalized, focused, and well organized. The quality of care has been exceptional. My therapist has created a personalized rehabilitation plan that has helped me make tremendous progress in a relatively short amount of time. In fact, my orthopedic surgeon was very impressed with my recovery and progress since surgery during my follow-up appointments. I also appreciate the excellent communication between Move Better Therapy and my orthopedic clinic. The therapists consistently send detailed progress notes before my follow-up visits, ensuring my surgeon is fully informed about my recovery and making my care feel truly coordinated. If you're an active individual looking to recover from an injury or surgery and return to your baseline level of function, I highly recommend Move Better Therapy. Their expertise, professionalism, patient-centered approach, and efficient workflow have made a huge difference in my recovery journey.

I called to see if they would take my mother's insurance for the brace she needs. They looked up her prescription said they didn't accept her insurance, but would bill them. They reviewed the prescription and told me that the MD had not put enough detail and told me what add to be added. I contacted the doc and got the prescription updated. Again I called to make sure the prescription was okay and to make an appointment. Whoever answered the phone again reviewed the prescription and said it was now fine. I asked what it meant that they don't accept the insurance, but will bill. How much might we need to pay, how does that work, etc.? I was assured that it would all be covered. They also told me there was no need for an appointment we could just come in during their normal business hours. Excellent! We picked a time and drove the 35 minutes to get there. When checking in at the desk, we were told this was a custom brace and we needed an appointment! When I balked at that, they ran in the back. After 5-10 minutes of waiting, a woman came out and said the insurance won't pay anything and the brace can cost around $3000 dollars. They apologized, but just kept explaining the insurance rules. I tried to explain that I am not concerned with that, only that I received false info on the phone wasting my entire morning. They still don't seem to understand that they need to train their phone staff.

He trimmed the toe nails, which helped a lot. But I was surprised when no prescription or treatment was made regarding my One big toe that was so pushed upward by the fungus I now have difficulty wearing any of my shoes. Last week, I called for an appointment, only to learn that he is now incorporated with an outfit in Maryland and is only available at the Pantop office specific days of the week. Under the new set up, I was given a 4-page application form asking for about everything under the sun. Much of the information requested had nothing to do with my aching fungus. Even then, I made an appointment. When the caller (probably a robot) left me a reminder about my appointment, her voice was so emphatic when she said "Remember, if you fail to make your appointment without a 24-hr. advance notice, you will be charged $40." The same emphasis was made in the app. form. Next day, I called Dr. Baglio's office and complained about this uncalled for threat. The reply was "Sir, you are not the first one to complain about this. I suggest you call Buck in Maryland who is the one responsible for the message." I called this super Buck, only to leave a message on his phone and asked for him to call me back. He never did. So, out of disgust, I went in person to Dr. Baglio's office on Pantop and cancelled the appointment 3 days in advance. Since then, I have been looking for someone else for treatment, as I am in terrible pain. Any suggestions" Elias Awad, Ph.D.
