Fantastic coffee shop with unique offerings and friendly staff! It has your traditional coffee shop vibe with a good amount of seating inside as well as out on their back patio. They roast their own beans so you can purchase a bag or enjoy them in one of their drinks. Since it was June when I visited, they had a Pride themed specialty drink menu. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the Solar Power - espresso, tonic, blackberry syrup and lemon. I've never had anything like it and it was fantastic! So refreshing and there was zero bitterness that espresso sometimes has. I'm so glad I tried it! Overall, they offered all the classics and had some nice specialty menu items too. What a pleasant atmosphere. Has the Starbucks clientele without the dark and dreary decor. My cappuccino was made to perfection and they offered a variety of small pastries I can't wait to go back and try. This was my first time ever at Flux Coffee and I was blown away. I found them by using my own favorite combo of keywords when searching for a coffee to patronize and also do work from, which are "coffee shop laptop outlets." The awesome reviews from fellow Yelpers totally steered me in the right direction. The space is simply huge! There was such a variety of different seating and counter/table height options. I sat down at one of the many tables that had several outlets for working from your laptop or charging your phone. I really enjoyed my drip coffee and also the coconut banana bread cookie. I was a bit disappointed with my $10 matcha latte special which probably had about 4 oz of liquid and the rest was the included "whip". Okay--picture this--true story: I get on a Red Eye at 11:30 pm in Los Angeles, CA non-stop to Newark, New Jersey. Plane lands at 7 AM and I did not get a wink of sleep. I rent a car and drive to the Bronx, NY to pick up my niece at 10 AM. I have to conduct an outside ceremony at a Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island at 2 PM in 34 degree weather. I am exhausted! What do you do? You open the YELP App and discover that the solution to this is to go into a State of FLUX! We drive over to FLUX in the monster SUV AVIS gave me (I rented a compact but they did not have any at the airport.) Got a lucky street space right in front. Run in from the cold and the owner brews up a fresh pot of dark roast and gives me an extra 1/3 cup of the left over from the prior batch to get started because he sees I am about to drop. 1/3 cup old and 1/2 cup from the new batch later--I am as awake and alert as an 8 hour sleeper. We stop at IHOP for Omelets and Pancakes and then off to the Cemetery. My orchestration of the ceremony went off genius--better than I expected. Impressed everyone. The coffee wired me up for two other key great stops ending my night in Nanuet, Rockland County at 10 PM--the first time getting to bed after being up for more than 36 hours with no sleep. I will definitely get into a state of FLUX my next time in Farmingdale. read more

Arrived about 230pm. The place was almost full but a table was available . We ordered coffee and a latte. I like that the latte was not overly sweet and I could taste the coffee. I loved how clean Flux Coffee is behind the counter. Of course, the tables were clean as well and I noticed that the staff is always cleaning. They are incredibly friendly as well. I enjoy strong coffee so if you're like me, I don't think this place is for you. The reason why I gave Flux 5 stars is because of the staff and it's a very clean cafe. I was very surprised how clean the restroom is and ladies...? they do have feminine hygiene products and I've never seen that before! You can find parking in the front and in the back. Their various single-origins coffees are among the best around, and I love that you can get it served as a pour-over right in the shop. They've become go-to source for buying beans for home brewing. Other things to love: Great vibe in the cafe, both indoor and outdoor seating; super friendly and knowledgable staff; fun menu of creative espresso drinks, including iced ones; and a great rotation of coffee roasts - even if you're in the mood for iced, they often have one of their single origins available and those truly hit different, IMHO. read more

After seeing that they serve coffee in a big plastic food storage container like this, I knew I had to try it. So on my early long drive over to the North Fork, I definitely needed the caffeine so I stopped by with my friend for some coffee. Of course, I ordered the Big Ass Drink to share with my friend. Its about $10 (+tax). I opted for vanilla and half & half milk. At first, I was wondering if it would be sweet enough or if I had to add sugar... but the moment I tried it, I realized I couldn't have asked for anything better. It had the perfect sweetness for my taste. Nothing overpoweringly sweet. Just perfection. Secondly, the vanilla taste in the coffee is amazing. Its no wonder that so many people add vanilla. Its truly delicious and you can tell that its authentic made from vanilla beans because there are some grinded pieces laying on the bottom. It was truly so refreshing, perfectly sweetened and now one of my favorite coffee spots. I can already tell that I'll like the other options on the menu without trying it. Not much I can say about this place considering I just grabbed n go. But from what I did observe, it's certainly worth supporting this small business. It's decently sized with trendy woodwork inside. Based on the previous pictures, I see that there were tables for customers to sit, but in these very strange COVID times, there are no seats or tables (for now). There is a wide variety to choose from, from classic coffee shop fare to speciality flavored lattes, pastries, beans and even reusable cups! I ended up ordering an iced Sticky Bun latte. Service was pretty quick and I enjoyed the cinnamon flavor. To be completely honest, I was expecting a bit more sweetness considering the namesake but, if you're not into super sweet lattes with some flavor to it, I totally think this place is worth it. Normally based on my latte preference, I would've given 3 stars, but I'll add another star for service here. I'm not a regular so my service was polite and nice. But after waiting to order and hearing the interactions with other regulars, you can tell this is such a loved place in the area. The baristas speak to the customers like friends, they're super helpful if you have no idea what beans to order. If this were pre-covid and I lived in the area, I could totally see myself stopping here frequently to sample everything they have to offer. Overall, listen to the locals on this! This is my friend's favorite place because of they Matcha drinks and introduced me to this super nice spot which is located one block away from 317 Main St. The place is clean, shiny and the staff is super friendly, they make you feel at home and will answer all the questions that you have about their menus. I ordered a Peppermint Mocha with Oat Milk... WOW! it was super tasty, hot but not burning your tongue and throat hot, it was perfect and the best part.. NOT SWEET AT ALL, very very little sweet just how I like it. It was the best way to end my day, I hope that I can get to visit soon and hopefully they still have that peppermint mocha available. It's right on Main Street so it couldn't be any more conveniently located. The shop itself is so cute and has a great vibe. I'm obsessed with the lighting! There are a good amount of tables and if you're looking to study or get work done like myself, they have SO many conveniently placed outlets near the tables. I've only tried a couple of the coffees so far but the Sticky Bunz latte is amazing and makes it hard for me to branch out and try different flavors! I've had a ton of friends rave about this place for a long time and I am so glad I finally got around to stopping in. I had the seasonal Mistletoe Latte and I also tried their flat white. This was some of the smoothest coffee I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. On top of it being delicious, the atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very friendly. There isn't too much seating available in the small place, so just be wary if you come looking for a place to hangout for a bit. Plenty of parking in the municipal lots nearby though. read more

I've had Flux bookmarked for a while now, and found myself needing a place with wifi for a couple of hours today so decided to finally give it a try. I'm so glad I did! It's a bit of a drive for me but was totally worth it. This was a great, chill spot to get some work done. Lots of tables and outlets available, music and decor on point. I got the 32oz "Big Ass Drink" just for the sheer novelty of it and I drank way more of it in one sitting than I should have. Great coffee- the smoked maple latte was tasty and not too sweet. Lots of interesting flavors to choose from! It's kind of a bummer that there's a 3-hour limit on parking but that ended up being just the right amount of time that I needed today. Islamophobia is alive and well at flux coffee. This is the only explanation I can come up with what happened to me here. I am still so upset. The second time I visited this shop I came in with my hair covered and ordered an americano with the honey syrup and was denied. I thought that was super strange so I asked why. The employee behind the counter, Ryan, shrugged it off and said it was what the owner wanted. Ryan told me flavors can only be applied to lattes. I was shocked. The first time I came to Flux coffee I ordered a cortado with a latte flavor and it was delicious. No one refused me then. Coming from a background where I've run multiple coffee shops myself and would never deny a customer how they wanted their coffee made, I was truly stunned when Ryan told me I couldn't add a flavor to my coffee regardless of it being a latte or americano. Since he insisted it was the owner's decision and he wasn't there, I politely just ordered an americano with maple syrup as a flavor instead because it was the only syrup Ryan said he was "willing" to add to my drink. You can't make this up. The americano I purchased tasted burned and I walked back up to Ryan and I asked if there were any possible way I could add the syrup of the flavor I wanted to make the drink taste the way I would like it or even add more maple syrup-- but before I could even finish my sentence there Ryan cut me off and rudely stated he would give me my money back. This has already been my worst experience as a customer in a coffee shop and I have visited cafes from all over the world. Ryan tells me how everybody loves the coffee and nobody has a problem with latte flavors not being able to be added to their coffee drinks and I fully check out at this point. I say I would like to speak to the owner. Ryan then smirk-laughs in my face and tells me he's the manager and I'm never allowed back in instead. WHAT???? Literally, wtf? Ryan clearly has personal issues he hasn't dealt with but there's no way he should be managing customers. I felt harassed and humiliated and ignored as a paying customer. I told Ryan he was not the owner and I was positive the owner would want their paying customer to enjoy their coffee and he replied with don't ever come back. I was not rude. I am a direct and serious woman. I am Muslim. I believe Ryan is just racist and possibly propagandized by a Zionist message from our mainstream media because there was no reason for him to be so unkind and so unprofessional to me when I came in so excited to try a new flavor in my coffee.
