We found street parking, and headed down Main Street til this business. It was the perfect turn around point. We saw the sign with several people using their outside restroom. It was not locked, was amazingly clean and users entered and departed after doing their business without leaving it a mess. While waiting for my turn to use the facilities I saw quite a bit of people go inside. It seemed like a place to get snacks or something to drink. I didn't see anyone monitoring the restroom but it was clean, amply supplied with toilet paper, had liquid soap and no smell. Always a pleasure to find places like this well taken cared of.

Anyway, the food mart appeared closed at 9pm (when I was there). The 76 Station itself is well lit, spacious islands, and my pump worked fine. However, the gas prices in St Helena are higher than the gas prices in the immediate SF Bay area. Located at Main St x Pope.

I watched as the staff treated the other patrons with smiles and enthusiasm, however when I reached the counter I was met with a frown and a dry "Do you need help?" I pulled up my receipt from the online order, she turned and waked away. She returned with a box, sat it on the counter and walked away. I stood waiting because I was unsure if the order was mine. She returned with another box and huge smile asking the person next to me if he needed a bag. Meanwhile I'm still standing there. After she finished bagging his things she turned to me and said "Do you need anything else?" I asked if this was my order? She said yes and walked away. Needless to say, this location is not nice to blacks. I was the only black there amongst maybe 30 people and I was the ONLY one treated that way. Racism exists, at Gott Roadside in St. Helena.

More on that in a minute. I hired him for a very difficult job of making brand new a very unusual and challenging vehicle, a sportsmobile, which is a Ford Econoline van converted into a small 4x4 RV. This vehicle has a lot of little compartments and all sorts of books and crannies, and it had never been cleaned inside. Dave and his family worked on the vehicle for half a day when I was away at work, and was in touch with me numerous times about different aspects of the job, and did an amazing job, see pictures attached. What REALLY surprised me and made me sure to ONLY go to him for all my detail needs in the future, besides the high quality of his work, was something that happened during the detail. Now I was having this done on my fathers vehicle, and I thought I had cleaned it out prior, emptied all the drawers and took all the personal belongings out, but what I had missed and hadn't seen something my father had stashed and forgotten about, and I had no idea it was there, was an envelope full of cash! He texted me after I asked him how everything everything was going, and he said he had found a stash of cash! Yes, he found an unknown to us envelope full of money, and immediately let me know! Now I know everyone should report these things and not keep them, but I believe it's rare to actually have someone do the right thing in that situation and give the cash back to who it belongs to, us! He could have kept the cash and we would have never known about it, but he didn't, he told us and returned it, and I think that is amazing. People like that are very rare these days and he deserves to be acknowledged and appreciated for it. And I want everyone considering a vehicle detail that reads this review to know, because it makes a huge difference. Way to go Dave, thanks for being a stand up man of Character that people can trust. We need more people and businesses that that! You have all my detail business in the future!
