I mean, it's a gas station... and I normally would not write anything but I had a very…read moredisappointing experience there and it's the closest Chevron to me for my Safeway reward points. I have one car that has to have supreme gasoline which has been very expensive for a very long time. It always costs me over $90 to get gas. I pulled up to the pump and put in that I wanted to use my Safeway rewards and it said I would get $.20 off a gallon. I then went to tap the card and it would not work. I don't like to slide cards, especially since people have gotten their cards copied by readers at many different gas stations for a long time and I didn't want to take that chance. But not only that the swiper door was literally hanging off! I was in a hurry like most people and did not notice that before, as I was looking at the screen and had no intention of swiping. I refused to put my card in, it wouldn't tap and I didn't want to lose my $.20 a gallon. So I pushed the button for an attendant over and over again and no one ever showed up. I ended up being forced to move to a different pump and lost all the discount on my gas. It's pretty lousy when the machines are in that shape and no one bothers to come out. When I don't have rewards I go to other gas stations.

Okay, it seems hardly Yelpworthy to rate a gasoline station. Yelpers heavily focus on restaurants…read more I on the other hand write most of my reviews on small businesses of every kind where my review will make a difference for the better, at least that is always my intention. This Chevron station is a mini-mart, semi-fast food restaurant, and gasoline station all in one. The mini-mart is called Redwood Market and is part of a small chain of Redwood Markets around Sonoma County and farther north. The semi-fast food restaurant is called Aztec Grill and as the name implies is Mexican food oriented. The gas is from the California based, mega-company, Chevron. Redwood Market is pretty much a convenience store like 7-Eleven, only smaller. Aztec Grill is part of the Redwood Market company, and every Redwood Market has an Aztec Grill in it. I am not impressed with convenience stores and certainly not processed, frozen, junk food that is microwaved on-demand behind the cash register. In fact, I no longer believe in any type of processing of food, even for preservation, or long-term storage. Convenience in my mind is part of the seduction of technology . . . a misused bane of humanity. Fortunately, the Aztec Grill "restaurant" inside the Redwood Market that is part of the Chevron station is better than 7-Eleven, convenience stores, or other mini-mart gas station food. For one, they actually have a professional grill and take your order "for here or to go." The line cooks take their cooking seriously and the hand-made burritos are pretty decent. There are several small tables inside for eating or just taking a break from driving. But, I must say, as petrochemicals go, even though my Volvo still generates hydrocarbons, and my carbon footprint is still way too high, Chevron Supreme Gasoline with Techron has been an outstanding choice. I now have 442,000 (yes, 442 thousand) miles on my beautiful Volvo! I put all those miles on myself and all with Chevron gas. My one and only previous car, a BMW 3-series I bought new when I was 21 years old, attained over 300,000 miles before I sold it, all on Chevron Supreme. My brother still has my BMW. I tend to be a loyal customer when I find something that fits me. I like the fact that Chevron was originally a San Francisco company. Their Information Technology [IT] center used to be San Ramon when I supported IBM data centers during my IT career way back when. And, I like the Chevron theme colors and symbol (hey, I'm an artist, and I actually "feel" colors). I cannot argue with obvious results. Car with 442,000 miles all on Chevron gas = five stars, boom! I buy a Gatorade and explain that I'd like some propane as well. He stares at me. I ALMOST returned the Gatorade. I wait by the tank, not a word is spoken, I pay for the propane. I told him I didn't appreciate his customer service and he said, "I couldn't care less what you think. Get the f%$& out". I am helping clean out an old house that has a lot of clothing so I thought I would bring it by. This afternoon, I went in, started filling up and took the first bag out of my car. While I was putting that bag into the bin, the person who works inside comes out and starts lecturing me. "It is not allowed to put clothing in there. Why do you think we turned it around?" Now, I had thought it was odd that it was turned around but it has been turned around for weeks, so I never really thought much about it. I explained to him that I was buying gas and wanted to get rid of some clothing. He said, "I didn't say anything about getting gas." It only went down hill from there, including him suggesting that I calm down. Sorry, it is hard for me to be calm when someone is shouting at me, right there in front of the sidewalk. I have a suggestion. If you don't want to accept clothing donations any more, maybe put up a sign on the bin saying, "Please do not put clothing in here. We are no longer accepting used clothing." Better yet, maybe seal the receptacle, so people cannot put anything in it. Wait, I have a better idea still. Why don't you have the company that put the bin there remove it? Wait, better idea still, maybe consider not yelling at your customers? There is another station right next door...

I brought it up to the gas station "professionals and car experts"(Robert) who told me to come back the following day which is today the 18th. After an 12hrs shift I went to talk to the manager for a solution to which Ramona Ibrahim spoke for over an hrs. Dissected every detail of the event to discredit me like they don't have video evidence. Tried to say that loosing 50$ wouldn't be much if I applied myself and work more maybe I wouldn't be driving an older generation corvette. Very demeaning, absolute trash person, she was yelling at me and knocked it off once I said that I recording her to get her a** fired. Once she saw that I wasn't wavering on my stance and that I wasn't going to give her the original receipts(my evidence) that she had Robert take from me several times and I stated that I would be recording the conversation to later show her superiors, she started pretending to be more helpful until they saw that pump #3 was under pouring in 3 separate occasions she had her proportional gas service man personally pump my gas and check my gauge. Which they saw it was accurate. She then finally trespassed me after not wanting make it right or document the event. Her name is Ramona Ibrahim the store manager that can't be bothered with a clients issue after being told to come back to talk to her. Luckily I have our call recorded, so we'll see what's her lie ends up being. But yeah the mechanical training that Robert received is a little outdated. If yall want to retrain him as well as educate him why cars with exterior fuel pump and filter shouldn't be ran on low fuel every time that would be helpful, maybe his dad a professional mechanic of 30 years could use that training as well. I have tons of evidence, voice recording and pictures as well as the business cameras they said they had audios in to try and gaslight to change their statement several times. That's ok I have recording and service record for this car, I can play ball all day.
