My car wouldn't start and I was parked on the side of a really busy street but Kyle and Michael were beyond helpful in getting me towed and solving the problem! Kyle came out first and tried everything he could to start the car while being so kind and respectful. He explained what was going on each step of the way and pointed out where things were which was so helpful. Even though he couldn't get it to start because of an issue with the starter he explained my options and made sure that I was fully informed through the whole process answering any questions I had. I ended up having to get my car towed and Michael went above and beyond and drove me and my car back to where I live which was over an hr away. He was also so respectful and kind keeping me informed throughout the drive. It was such a fun time chatting with him and he also helped ensure I got all my questions answered and to get my car fixed safely. They even helped answer questions about insurance so that I got the best price! On 12/19/18 AAA dispatch tow request for my husband, and this company REFUSED!!! to come. He was at Lake Berryessa (Cappel Cove Boat Launch). I called for the tow from home and went up to be with him. I called at 8:15pm and no tow truck and no signal for us to call. AAA had left messages that there was no tow companies available to come get the vehicle towed. This tow company left us out there! We ended up pulling the Truck with my car (after breaking a few ropes) to a safe location (it was blocking the launch). We didn't get a signal until we were almost home, at that time I called AAA to see what happened, they then could tell me what happened. read more

My husband and I were stranded on the 29 on our way home from a lovely wine country getaway. Our car warranty gives us free towing, but getting home that day turned into quite the ordeal. The original tow truck dispatched by OnStar "couldn't find us" for over 90 minutes (I highly doubt that, we were on the 29) and eventually told us they weren't coming to get us. A similar mishap happened with another tow truck and we were slowly going crazy trying to figure out how we were getting home. Eventually, the stars aligned and Mike from Los Prados agreed to pick us up from Yountville and tow our car all the way to San Leandro, and during rush hour, too! I expected a two hour ride in the middle seat of a tow truck to be miserable, but it wasn't at all. Mike offered to pull over for bathroom breaks and food runs, offered an iPhone charger, which was desperately needed after calling every single tow company around all afternoon. He didn't mind that we had our little dog with us, too. He was courteous, trustworthy, professional, and charming. Wow! On our the last day in California, I locked my keys in the trunk of my car right before walking in to a winery. I was so upset at myself! I called the roadside service that the car rental company provides and waited on hold for over half an hour while they searched their in network providers to find someone to help us. In the meantime, my husband called Los Prados hoping they could help. Mike drove up in less than 10 minutes, hopped out of his truck and quickly assessed the situation. When I said this is all my fault, he looked at both me and my husband and with a big smile said "this is no ones fault! You're on vacation!" He had the keys out of the car in SECONDS!!!. About 4:00pm on Friday July 2nd, my Mini had a electric problem and conked out in a Chevron station in Napa. Called AAA [I have been a member for over 40 years] and asked for a tow back to a St Helena auto repair shop. Napa Valley Tow was assigned the tow by AAA who said service would arrive in 45 min. I understood the wait because it was Friday of a holiday week end. FOUR hours later and several calls to AAA and Napa Valley Tow and receiving no estimate of arrival time [one estimate of 9min about 2 hours into the 45 min originally estimated]. I was being patronized by both AAA and Napa Valley Tow Well after 4 hours of waiting, I got fed up, and called Los Prados in St Helena. Mike immediately accepted the request as said he would be there in 30 minutes. He got there in less than that, efficiently loaded the car on a his flat bed and drove me and the Mini to St Helena. He unloaded the car in a secure location at the now-closed repair shop and drove me home. Mike was charming and what I needed at that time, sympathetic; and drove me to my home in St Helena STRONGLY suggest next time you need a tow in the upper Napa Valley, demand AAA or warrenty service dispatcher contact Mike at Los Prados , or better yet, call him directly. Yesterday evening around 6:30pm one of our work trucks wouldn't start, unfortunately because only the battery had died, a lot of companies didn't want to make the drive to St. Helena just for a jump. I called Los Prados Tow in a panic and Mike was so great! Very calm and professional told me it was no problem and they could be there in about 15 minutes. To make matters worse, I was at my home and didn't know the exact location of the truck... I tried to explain where the truck was (my directional skills are less than par) I ended up sending a GPS screenshot of their location. Mike and his driver were patient, never got frustrated with me, and most importantly didn't give up on me (which has happened before where a company says sorry call someone else). I was recently stranded on the road down from Lake Berryessa with a flat tire. Of course, i was out of cell range and neither my phone nor mBrace worked. I flagged down a motorist who took me into Rutherford where I called AAA. They dispatched Los Prados tow, who arrived in less than 15 minutes. The driver, Kyle, drove me back up to my car and changed the tire as darkness was falling. I usually have good luck with AAA's contract tow services, but this was one of the best. Kyle is such an intelligent, charming (and not to mention nice-looking) young man of the sort one doesn't usually find in this business. Sept 22, 2012 My boyfriend, our son and myself were in a hit and run rollover accident on St. Helena Mountain. The CHP once he arrived almost an hour and half after it had our car towed by Calistoga Tow to their yard. They did not take AAA and said they would only give us $50 for the car and if we refused and wanted it out we had to paid them $480, after it was only in their yard for not even 2 hours. The guy there said we should not start the car as it had been upside down and oil could be in the wrong areas of the motor and could ruin it. We paid the money to get it out and the guy drove it out of the yard over to the gas station that is on the opposite corner of the street. My aunt then called AAA and they hooked us up with Los Prados Towing. The guy that came out I believe his name was Lawrence or Mike was incredibly nice. He showed compassion (as I should have went to the hospital but refused cause I wanted to stay with my family). He tied the bumper up and the trunk shut, he was so nice and joked around and got me smiling after our horrible ordeal. It has taken over a year for me to get on here and write this but I remember our experience from that day. If God forbid anything like this ever happens again I will be demanding the CHP call Los Prados Towing I keep the card in my wallet right behind my drivers license and emergency contact list. Our 1999 Infinity QX4 blew a radiator in the winding mountains between St. Helena and Santa Rosa, CA on Friday night 01 Mar. No cell coverage, so good samaritans drove my wife to an area to cal AAA. AAA dispatched "Dave" from Los Prados Towing who towed us off the mountain and helped us find a repair shop that was open on Saturday so we would be able to get back home to Monterey for work by Monday morning. Lucky for us we had AAA Plus so Dave was able to tow us a long way to Santa Rosa instead of the nearest garage. Dave was friendly and totally professional, putting up with 3 exhausted travelers during our multi-hour adventure and helped to salvage our weekend.
