I made a point to check out late with the front desk & told them I had food in the fridge we were taking home. I'd bought really nice cheese, pate & wine for a friend's birthday, along with leftovers from a very nice, expensive meal the night before. We walked around town that morning & came back to the hotel to grab the food & check out. The room was uncleaned & looked untouched when we walked back in but the refrigerator had been completely emptied! I checked with the front desk on what happened & was eventually told everything had been thrown out. What was the point of me telling them exactly what I was doing?! What a waste of money with everything that was thrown out & no attempt was made at making this good for me. I was very disappointed with the service. It was an inexpensive room (in the off season) & the view was nice though the room was dated & the elevator smelled.

PROS: Price - this condo is by far the least expensive place I've ever stayed in Vail. It is so reasonably priced that it's really hard to complain about anything. Location - this is the biggest pro of all. You are right in the middle of everything in Lionshead Village with an easy walk anywhere you want to go. I'm not sure how to classify this one, but the room and bathroom was scrupulously clean, which is always very important to me anywhere I stay. CONS: The decor is very dated and made it feel a little cheap and shabby. The sofa bed was horribly uncomfortable. It sounds silly, but there wasn't a guide for the TV channels and it wasn't on the screen itself, so if you watch TV, there will be lots of clicking around. And the things in the middle - one, there is very little parking; they have less parking than they have rooms, so beware if you are driving. We never had any issues finding a spot, but it's a little quieter in August. Finally, and I hesitate to mention this because we did not say anything to the management, but the HVAC in our room did not work. It wasn't such a big deal because the weather was very temperate and we could leave the balcony door open, but at the same time, there wasn't a screen on the sliding door, so we had some winged visitors. All in all, A-OK is probably the best way to describe the Lifthouse. I don't know if I would stay there again myself, but if someone was looking for a really reasonable room in Vail, I wouldn't hesitate to point them here with a few caveats.

Despite the lack of cleanliness, the price was decent so I cleaned up what I could and we went about our vacation. Then nightfall happened. We experienced excessive screaming, laughter, fights and cussing, door slamming and adults coming in and out of the hot tub well into the early hours of the morning. There is a sign on the hot tub that says food or beverages aren't allowed in the area and that the hot tub closes at 10 p.m. There was a full on party going on around the hot tub with all of those rules being broken. No one came to shut the hot tub down at 10 p.m. I called the condo manager when it became very late and my children were struggling to sleep well after midnight, and they said it was not their concern and if I wanted it handled I could call the police. I asked them to call the police on my behalf, as I was from another state, didn't own the property, would be staying near the partiers for the next several days and didn't want any trouble. I just wanted my young kids to get some sleep. The manager was rude and refused, essentially mocking me. The next morning I went out to enjoy the hot tub with the kids and the area was trashed. There were alcohol bottles and cans everywhere, paper plates disintegrating in the water, the cover was left off overnight and the hot tub smelled terrible. It wasn't safe for the kids. We went back up to the room and figured they would come sometime in the morning to clean. Later into the afternoon it was still not cleaned. I called the condo manager to ask when they were coming to clean the hot tub and they said they would make a call. The hot tub was not ever cleaned before we left, so we never got to use it. Night after night it was the same story, hard to fall asleep because no one enforced the hot tub rules. Exhaustion made for a tough vacation for a few of us. If you have kids, heed my warning and save your sanity. There are condos within the same price range in the same neighborhood with way better reviews and amenities. The property manager for this condo does not care, will not enforce their rules, and doesn't clean the condos or the shared public spaces well.

We checked in around 8 pm. Got a very warm welcome from Kyle at check-in and from Graham at Concierge. Parking is easy and convenient. The room was amazing. We've stayed at places from hostels, to rundown roadside motels to five-star resorts and we'd have to say that our stay here was all around great. The restaurant was great for a last minute meal, but didn't have a ton of offerings nor did it have value priced meals. It also closes at 9 pm which isn't ideal if you tend to eat late. The facilities were all great. Had we not bought into the property, we would definitely return again for a quick getaway.

Licking stains on the wall, asphyxiating smoking smell and an unhanded looking hallway. The apartment 211 is a complete disappointment and a very low-bar offer by the Vail Resort Rentals: old old old, smell like old, the fridge makes a noise because it's from the 80s, stove and exhaust fan are also from the 80s, the bathrooms faucet, and shower are from the early 80s). The carpet is disgusting and the towels (stiff, small, and thin), pillows, and sheets lowest quality than from any Holiday Inn. This property could not be rented by Vail Resort Rentals, a company which supposedly provides good properties to rent,; instead, this property could simply be on Airbnb or vrbo, platforms that don't pretend to provide anything else than a means between landlord and tenants. For health issues, the smell is unbearable, trigging my husband's and my allergy. The smell is the non-negotiable item. Do yourself a favor, don't pay $999 per night here, don't trust the name this company used to inspire the customers, don't deal with "There's nothing we can do", "My manager has the day off today and tomorrow", "We've never had problems before", "I'll have the housekeeping take a look" (the housekeeping crew has a limit to what they are able to do in a 30+ year apartment). Instead, invest the exact same amount staying at The Marriot Vail Mountain Resort, a 5-star hotel for the same price. You will get what you want and the value your money worth. Most importantly, you will then enjoy your stay, be in a clean and healthy space, and be comfortable.

Ski Village Resorts is a rental management company in Breckenridge that has a lot of different types of properties available, not just a single resort. The reservation process was quick and easy. Checking in when I arrived in Breckenridge was also simple and painless. Their staff was courteous and friendly. I stayed in a 2-bedroom condo at The Village, which is at the corner of Main Street and Park Avenue right in town. Restaurants and shopping are all right out the door. And, even better, the Breckenridge Ski Resort's Quick Silver super chair lift was right out back no more than 100 yards from the building. Definitely a great location in the winter. I had previously stayed at Beaver Run and I like this complex better; it is more modern and more convenient. The condo was spacious and modern and had a beautiful view of the mountains and ski resort. One note, though, with services like Ski Village Resorts, they don't normally include daily housekeeping unless you request it ahead of time. As a regular visitor to Breckenridge, I will tell you that parking is tight even at the big resorts. Unless your visit requires a lot of driving, I recommend taking a shuttle if you are flying in to Denver. Once here, there is a local shuttle as well as shuttles to Keystone and other areas.

We have always had the best results with SVR. They have a lot of properties from which to choose. Each property has its own amenities and advantages. Previously, we have stayed at One Ski Hill Place, Beaver Run, and this last trip, The Village. Ski Hill Place is nice and convenient to the lifts but requires a shuttle ride to town. Beaver Run is older and a bit dated but close to lifts. Only about a 10 minute walk to town. The Village has the best combination of close lift access and quick access to restaurants and other activities. Each time we have used Ski Village Resorts, it has been an easy transaction. Check in is quick and their prices are very reasonable. Parking at each property can be iffy during peak season but we found we don't need a car. Like one of the other reviewers said, if you are flying in to Denver Airport, it is much easier to reserve a shuttle.
