The location is great! Overall, the condo was below fair. Very outdated, holes, sunken and bad tiles on floor, broken appliances (coffee maker leaked, Microwave locked up buzzing often, stove glass cracked, a TV system impossible to figure out if even works we never got anything to watch, 5 remotes on table with no instructions for anything, lights were out (lower quality all around). Blazing Saddles #102. The check in was fine. Support did answer emails and a call. So, people around but did not help. They said they would contact HOA about "No source found" for TV. We tried all the obvious things but nothing worked. Internet seemed to work but nothing on TV from all input sources. We called to report Broken glass and microwave so they did not try to make us pay for already damaged items. We requested compensation and mgmt. offered 10% off on our next stay which since the rent was a fraction of the total ($241) came out to $5.31. We declined as unacceptable and decided to rate it as we found it - unacceptable. Unfortunately, after the fact we saw very negative reviews for the management by Summit County Management Retreat. Many of the negative reviews SCMR just replied saying the people were wrong. Very poor experience and our thinking was that if an inept mgmt. team were not involved the owner would be able to respond much better. We stayed in this building before and with direct contact with the owner greatly helped to get things straightened out right away. This mgmt. said they only respond to emergencies (we assumed like water, heat and power,) not tv or appliance failures. For the price paid I would 1). Never stay at this unit again. 2). We checked into The Seasons at Keystone #1819, managed by Summit County Mountain Retreats (SCMR) on March 8, 2026. Within approximately 90 minutes I discovered the hot tub was not operational, and a temporary pump that had been placed in the water to prevent freezing. As we had not been notified prior to check-in that the hot tub was out of service, I contacted SCMR immediately. A repair technician came the next day and confirmed the unit required a replacement part. We were informed repairs would not be completed during our 3 night stay. SCMR offered a partial refund of rental price and tub cleaning fees contingent upon signing a "Guest Inconvenience Form," which includes a requirement stating, "guest agrees not to post any negative statements online or in any forums." I declined to sign this agreement because it restricts the ability to provide truthful feedback. As a result, no refund has been issued, including the $57 "hot tub service fee" for this contracted amenity that was unavailable for the entire stay. I will not be using Summit County Mountain Retreats in the future, and encourage others to learn from my poor customer service experience. read more

Had an amazing vacation despite this management company's policies and practices. The condo building was in the middle of a renovation. It was also in the middle of a construction site. Neither of these were communicated to us in any fashion. We paid top dollar to stay here. We even met several owners of condos in the building. They said that they were currently staying there because the condos were virtually unrentable. We didn't let this ruin our vacation. But we just think that the management company's lack of transparency about the state of the property was completely dishonest.​ read more

We rented a 5th-floor condo through Summit County Mountain Retreats for a family ski trip with young children and a grandparent. Unfortunately, elevator access to our unit was a major issue throughout the stay. For over 48 hours, both elevators in the building were completely inoperable. For the remainder of the stay, the elevator servicing our floor did not function, requiring us to climb over 115 stairs multiple times per day while carrying children and ski equipment. This situation was not disclosed prior to booking, and had we been informed, we would not have rented this unit. The lack of elevator access significantly impacted accessibility, use of amenities, and overall enjoyment of the stay. Management acknowledged the lack of prior notification and the impact on our experience, but ultimately refused to offer any refund or credit, citing that the elevators are maintained by the HOA. Families traveling with children, older adults, or anyone with mobility concerns should be aware of this risk and ask very specific questions before booking. read more

They're so big they don't care. Once they have your money, good luck getting help or service from them. It's like it's run by a bunch of teenagers that couldn't care less. If I could give them zero stars or less, I would. We stayed in a SkiTip unit in Keystone. We rented this specific unit because the hot tub was right behind it. We were notified 16 days before check in that the hot tub would be closed for maintenance. I called & asked if we could be moved to another unit or property with a hot tub in walking distance. We were even willing to pay more for a different unit or location, & she asked for 24-48 hours to see what she could do. When I called back, a young man told me that they won't change reservations within the 30 day window of check in. He acknowledged that they only told us 16 days prior to check in but told us- it is what it is and blamed the HOA. I asked if we could get a discount or credit since this was why we picked this unit & he said no. We were stuck with it & instead we could drive 5 minutes away to another property's hot tub. I texted and asked if we could possibly check in early because we landed in Denver around 8am, and their response was to send another copy of the automated text about checking in 4:30pm with a link to the instructions. They couldn't even be bothered to say someone was in the unit (according to the calendar there wasn't anyone before us) or anything human despite the fact that I was texting someone human just a few days ago. When we got there the wifi info was incorrect as was most of the information on the sheets posted in the unit. I sent a quick text to ask what the correct information was and they didn't get back to us until mid morning the next day after my husband called to try to get a response. So.. no work emails, etc.. bc the phone service there is spotty. Check in isn't until 4:30 and apparently they all clock out at 4:35. There's no garage door opener. You're required to park your small car in the garage or go find a shared parking space on the property. So every time you come home, you have to get out of your car, go in the house, open the garage, get back into your car, and pull it in the garage. Also- only a compact car will fit. The way the units are arranged, you cannot park in front of your unit. The floors & living room furniture were filthy. We had to wear socks & shoes so the bottoms of our feet wouldn't turn black. It hasn't been properly scrubbed or mopped in a very long time. The sofa arms were filthy & the overall furniture needs cleaning. The master bed was clean, however it was like sleeping on a brick wrapped with an egg crate. It was hard as a rock. The pillows were so lumpy & worn out we had to take pillows off of another bed. The last day we decided to pack up our stuff to drive to the hot tub 5 minutes down the road at the Dakota. Other than "go use the hot tub at the Dakota" we were not given any other instructions. When we got there, we couldn't get in. A key card was required & there weren't any key cards at our rental. We called and they said they would have a card over to us in less than 30 minutes. We waited over an hour and no one showed. Also, all of the parking around the building is for 15 minute parking only. You have to park in a lot in front of the resort and walk all the way down to the hot tub behind the Dakota lodge. We went home to shower for plans that evening, and someone came into our rental while we were upstairs showering and left the key cards. It was very clear we were home bc we parked in front of our rental (where you're not supposed to park) and I cannot believe someone just walked in. They didn't knock on the door or even call us. We didn't know someone was in the unit until we saw the cards hanging there!! Unacceptable!! read more

I certainly look at reviews before I spend my money at establishments and people have a right to know what to expect and how I was treated. ZERO STARS!! I booked my reservation over a month ago. Today I received a text message that my reservation is being cancelled, no reason given. I spent hours looking for a new reservation. I went to cancel and they will not even refund me the entire amount of the reservation. Ashlyn the "manager" stated it is out of her control. I paid 1363 and she would only refund me 1159. Ashlyn told me that she could see that I paid 1363. When I asked for a full refund, she then said she could only see that I paid 1159. They cancelled for their issue but wont even give me all my money back. I asked to get another place at a discount and they won't even do that. No customer service. She texted me that she was done with the conversation. Stay away. They will steal your money! They state in their reply that they offered my many options. The only option they offered me was to cancel and book another place. I repeatedly asked for a discount and they refused. I would be happy to upload text messages from them stating this. Stayed at the pines this spring. Place was ok but dated. When we showed up, there were two signs in the kitchen... one on the stove, and one on the dishwasher... both appliances were out of order. They made no attempt to try and fix them(looked like they had been out of order for a while), ensure that you have working equipment, we were unable to cook all week. Management offered me 200$ as a refund, I accepted. And in between payment, they asked me for a review of the place, I reviewed it, at which point they revoked my 200$ payment and stated that the review that I left was in breech of the agreement. They haven't given me anything to date, and appear they won't... having this review up here is worth my 200$... please beware this company. I won't rent from them again. read more

Booked a three night stay here for six people and we found it very comfortable for the amount of time we were here, but there were also a few things that took away from the whole experience. This is not the best place to stay if you are travelling in multiple cars as the overflow parking lot is located a couple miles down the road. Only one car is allowed in the parking garage per room and it made it annoying driving back and forth to pick up the other car when there was a perfectly good gravel lot behind it that was hardly vacated. Another negative was the directions to get the room keys and to then get to the hotel. We eventually figured it out and had a great experience from then on out. The room was beautiful. It definitely had the mountain lodge vibe and look with the wood and brown colors. Although the kitchen wasn't all that big it got the job done. We cooked multiple meals and the room had all of the needed utensils, pots and pans. I loved the nice big dining table where we ate, played games and put together one of the puzzles that the room provided. The beds were comfortable and clean and every room had a working tv. In the building across from our room, there was a place to play pool, get a workout in and swim. We got to enjoy one of the two hot tubs overlooking the gondola and mountains. Within walking distance is River Run Village which has everything that you need. There are many different restaurants and touristy shops to buy souvenirs. This is a great place to look around and get out of your room. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would book here again in the future. read more

We've stayed at SCMR properties for many years and find them to be affordable, that's why we've kept coming back. During this trip, the chandelier in the dining room broke away from the ceiling, falling on my husband and son. My husband needed an x-ray on his hand and my son suffered a concussion and needed a CT scan. Upon calling the office, a manager was not available and we were told we'd have to wait a few hours until someone could help us. The maintenance crew was sent out and deduced that the chandelier was only held up by the decorative screw cap, nothing else. SCMR took zero responsibility and we were told by one of the owners that the liability was not theirs, but ours. Repeated attempts to get records of the incident were made and we were completely ignored, other than being told by someone answering the phones that they had received our requests. We're out thousands upon thousands of dollars for medical care and obviously won't be utilizing SCMR again. We'd advise you not to either, as they won't own up to faulty installations or take responsibility for issues that were their responsibility. No one called so I called Devin back and she contacted someone who called me right away. BEWARE! Stayed at Jack Pine Lodge in Keystone, CO during February 2025. Extremely expensive. Low quality furnishings. Building was undergoing construction while we were there, so it was very noisy at night, with exposed walls and ceilings in hallway. Fireplace shut off and filled the condo with gas. Not the level of quality we were expecting for the extremely high price we paid. The only good thing about the building is that it is close to the Keystone gondolas, so I guess the owners know they can get by with inferior quality. The negative things we experienced could not be detected just by looking at the promotional photos of the condo unit shown on the website. It was a construction zone in the hallway with exposed ceilings and walls with insulation spilling out. Plastic covering the elevator floor and hallway floor. Unit above us was undergoing rehab, so we endured 4 hours of constant noise of the workers replacing the floor in the unit above us on our final night, and someone in the stairwell hammering on metal on the wall directly on the other side of the master bedroom. Fireplace quit working and condo filled up with gas smell. Very dangerous. Outdated, beat-up furniture, filthy coffee cups in kitchen, pillows/blankets/linens on beds were old, worn, & wrinkled. Found a woman's bobby pin in the sheets of the bed. (I don't use bobby pins, so this was obviously left by the previous guest - yuck!) Bath tubs in both bathrooms were scratched with black metal showing through, and black mold in tile surrounding tub. Bathroom sink faucet handle repeatedly fell off in my hand. Lamp in bedroom made of concrete (?) had a huge chunk out of it. Filthy rugs in bathroom that have obviously never been washed. T.V. channels are basic. Don't expect to watch anything except old reruns of shows from the 1980s if you want to watch t.v. while you're there. I complained about the fireplace and the noise to Summit County Mountain Retreats management and their response was that quiet hours are after 10 p.m. (so, I guess we have no right to quiet enjoyment of the condo we rented even though we spent almost $800 a night for it) and they said they had no control over the HOA for their choice to rehab a condo unit directly above us while we were there. I followed up with management about the fireplace after we got home, and the manager said there was no problem, they sent someone to check out the fireplace and it was fine. (?) BEWARE if you stay in the JackPine Lodge, unit #8007. Not safe. We paid almost $800 per night for this. The email response from Adam, the rude manager, was to offer a refund of $171. (Really?) It looks like they have (not surprisingly) received a lot of bad reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. Sure wish I had known about this before we booked. We truly enjoyed staying at the Tree House 305D unit. Our flat lander lungs weren't ready for the three flights of stairs to get to it, but were welcomed with very comfortable furnishings and lots of space to spread out in. The master has an enormous king sized bed and the loft features not one, but three queen sized beds and a tv. The kitchen is small, but mighty. We enjoyed cooking a regular Thanksgiving meal with all of the fixings in the nicely appointed kitchen. Trying to be budget conscious we cooked most of our meals at "home". With that being said there are lots of dining options within a few miles. Our particular favorite was the Bluebird Market, which is a food court offering everything from crepes to fish tacos and adult beverages. Conveniently located near four world class ski areas took advantage of the slopes for several days of sun filled skiing and boarding. After, we warmed bones by the cozy fire place and took a stroll down to the club house and relaxed in the hot tub. We definitely recommend this unit and will rent again in the future. read more

Stayed at Expedition Station #8553. Conveniently located in the River Run Village. Walking distance to everything from ski lifts, ski rentals shops, restaurants, grocery store, and shuttle buses. Prior to our arrival: We were sent an Summit County Mountain Retreats smart phone app that details the accommodations, things to bring, general and safety information and arrival instructions. On Arrival: We picked up our keys and information package at the Summit County Mountain Retreats lock boxes. (This was perfect since we arrived near midnight due to flight delays.) Accommodations: Our stay at Expedition Station included underground parking in a private garage. On-site included a work out room, sauna, heated pool and hot tub, and a ski storage room with private lockers for each room. Our room had a well equipped kitchen. No need to bring anything except your own food. Our condo had 2 rooms, a master with bathroom, and the second bedroom had bunk beds that would accommodate 4 children / 2 adults comfortably. A second full bathroom with tub/shower is just off the kitchen. Living room has a tv, fireplace and wrap around couch. There is a private patio with a gate that leads to courtyard where the swimming pool is located. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the property, and will rent again with Summit County Mountain Retreats. read more

I recently stayed at a property in Silverthorne, CO at Skywalk Flats. First of all it was extremely hard to find because the garage was NOT marked at all. We drove around several times before finally finding the teeny tiny numbers on the lock box. The furniture was very cheap, they accused me of breaking a lamp, which I did NOT. They charged me for said cheap ass lamp. The plumbing fixtures literally came off while trying to turn off the water in the bathroom. The living room was extremely small. Offered $25 refund if we signed a document saying we would not leave a bad review. Not great hospitality on that part. When you spend over $350 for 1 night, the beds should be up to par. Renters BEWARE! SC Mtn Retreat Management group is awful and deceptive. We rented a unit at the Buffalo Lodge in Keystone, and on the second night we walked into a flooded unit with an inch of water in the kitchen and our ski boots and helmets soaked. I called SC Mtn Retreats immediately and they sent a maintenance person who did nothing to clean up the water and mess. We went out of our way to get towels to put on the kitchen floor and rug so it wouldn't cause any more damage to the unit. When I reached out to Adam (Property Manager) at SC Mtn Rtreats to see what they would do to help compensate for the flooding and our soaked ski gear and missing our last day of skiing as a result, he set an arbitrary clause from the rental agreement and basically told me they would do nothing to remedy the situation. Does this sound right or fair to you? Extremely bad customer service, so don't risk using this company, they flatly don't care about YOU as a customer. I'll be providing this review on all possible sites to save others from an awful company and experience! read more

This condo was spacious, fully stocked and close to the Octoberfest. It doesn't have AC but opening the windows and using the fans they provide made the stay comfortable. The bed was fabulous! Loved the pillows and mattress. The bedspread was not attractive, seemed worn but it met the need. The pillows and the couch felt like they had feathers and we felt an occasional poke. Overall it was ok. We were able to go out on the balcony. There is a strong smell of gas in that corner. We noticed a vent close by which seemed to be the source. The place could use a remodel, and new dishes but overall it was nice. Would definitely stay there again. read more

I don't recommend this place due to 1) their unprofessionalism of no staff worker knowing what's going on and they don't return your call when they said they would. When it's bad new they just text you the verdict from their boss. Very unprofessional. I would not do business here. It's not worth the headache after a 1 night stay. 2) they only allow 1 car to park in their lot and other cars have to park in a $25/night lot that is far away. There is no free overnight parking anywhere in Keystone. 3) no staff worker knows how to access the hot tub that's provided. And if you ask for an inconvenience form, they are going to make it your fault on why you couldn't access it. None of the staff knew how to enter when I called multiple times. 4) there's so much to read and sign when you first book this place. Details: I booked this place bc there was a hot tub as advertised. My friends and I are traveling from other states and wanted to get together and relax as new parents without our kids and dogs. My first complaint. I've called 3 days in a row even though I stayed here 1 night. The first 2 times were regarding the hot tub and not getting a follow up call. The 3rd day was because I never received a follow up call for my inconvenience form. The mountain resort staff don't follow up and they don't know how to assist you. All I'm told when I call is that they need to follow up with their boss. My second complaint. This mountain resort only allow 1 car to park in their lot even though the unit I stayed in hosts 6people. Our other cars had to park in a $25/night parking lot that was far away. My third complaint is the lack of assistance on accessing the hot tub. No staff knew how to access it, but then blamed me that the details were provided after I asked for an inconvenience form. Those details did not work. I tried the same door code as my unit and the 2 keys they provided me. Nothing worked to enter. I called the front desk multiple times. They first said it was closed at 9pm. As a way to get me to leave them alone and not bother them. I told them it closes at 10pm, just like the sign says. So then the front desk person decides she can't shake me and said she will call me back and she did, the first time she said she would call me back to see what I needed, even though I told her what I needed the first time I called. I asked for instructions on how to get into the hot tub and they didn't know. They said they would get back to me after they talk to their manager and I never heard back the second time she said she would get back to me. No follow up even the next day. I called the following morning and the staff worker said they couldn't send me an inconvenience form because the details were provided. Those details didn't work. I tried that same door code as my unit and the 2 keys in my unit; the hot tub entrance never opened. And no staff member knew how to get in and just told me to use the keys provided. Nothing worked. My fourth complaint. There isn't a friendly welcome, that they are glad to have you. You get a ton of forms you need to read/sign on what NOT to do and the fines that will incur if you don't abide by the rules. The cancellation policy is strict. This resort only wants your money and for you to leave. The staff workers don't know anything other than to get you to sign paperwork and they don't want you to bother them or anyone. Very inconvenient and a headache to stay here. I don't recommend. Give me the inconvenience form! read more
