At first, I was just happy to see some interesting and useful veggies and delicacies (Italian, Spanish and other nationalities). But, as I went to the rear of the store, I saw an old fashioned, honest to goodness butcher. There wasn't a ton of stuff in the case, like my former big Italian Butcher shop in NYC, but as we chatted I was to be pleasantly surprised. They were very accommodating. They are even going to get in some whole dried hot chili peppers I have been looking for. I was told by Fabio, the butcher, that they make their own sausage and other items, without chemicals or additives. I asked if there was any possibility of getting a cut of pork neck meat that I used to get in NYC that cooked up like veal cutlets. He brought out some neck meat, and we could see it was too narrow. I asked if it was possible it had been butterflied. He tried it, and it was exactly what I was looking for! So I got my 5 cutlets, the price was great, and was I elated. (Whenever I cooked them, people always said they were the best veal cutlets they ever had because they were so moist and have no grizzle. Of course, I would fess up eventually, lol.) I asked if he might be able to make stuffed veal roasts and other types of roasts, and chicken rollatini. He said he could make whatever I wanted!! He told me if he didn't already know how, that If I told him what I wanted he would either do what I suggested, or research how it should be done. I struck pay dirt with this place! There was some nicely marbled rib eye temptingly displayed right in front of me, that I eventually decided to take. Heck, I was sitting there looking at it the whole time, and it was only $6.99 a lb. He trimmed it as I asked before weighing, and cut it to the thickness I asked for. Of course, like any butcher, they have all sorts of goodies in the back. I will absolutely be back... I can't believe I didn't know the place was there. They've been open 7 months. You gotta try this place.

Diane took my name and phone number and said that she would speak to Dennis and if there was a problem, she would call me back. Since I didn't hear from her, I thought that the plants were held and put aside. On Sunday, in 93 degree heat and high humidity, we looked near the barn to pick up our plants. Then I went in the store and asked the man behind the counter if they had plants held with my name. He had no clue! I asked to see Dennis or Diane and was told that both are off on Sunday. I was livid! Here I was told that they had the specific plants that I had been seeking, and then we couldn't locate them. We checked every greenhouse and table and could not find either of them! I called today and asked to speak with Dennis or Diane. Of course neither of them are working today! Then I asked if either of them was the owner and was told no. Then I asked who is the owner and who is in charge? The woman said that no one was in charge at the moment. This gave me no recourse, but to write a review of the situation in order to prevent this from happening to anyone else! Their prices are inflated and they don't tell the truth, but just want to get you in the garden center and hope that you'll spend a lot of money! I will never go there again!

Customer service aside they legitimately have some of the best produce and goods. Their peaches are some of the best! Watermelons, tomatoes, corn, squash, local honey, homemade lemonade and fresh baked goods--they carry such a wonderful variety of products! In the fall they pivot with pumpkins and mums and host one of the most fantastic fall festivals--just to say thank you to the community! I love that there are always seasonal items here- I have gotten pumpkins here as well as Christmas trees! The Christmas trees are actually a pretty good deal here- not only is it super convenient but you can get a decently sized tree at an affordable price. Don't forget- Produce Junction is cash only!!
