the old Flying J Jackson Georgia this one's been around a long time
    Kevin D.

this is about two and a half stars but I'm leaving it at 2.. got stuck here for the weekend this is one of the old Flying J's when they had Travel centers originally built around America leaving out of Utah expanding.. it is definitely showing its age a lot of the amenities are really really not very good..the coffee was very disappointing how you don't realize you're selling one of your most biggest ones and you run out of the bean-to-cup Colombian beans and have to wait almost three days through a whole weekend for a truck shipment.. the half and half broke don't have any of that. air conditioner in towards the back between the laundry room showers and truckers bathroom on a 95 degree day at school and the rest of the facility but back there where you really need it as it's a truck stop now Travel Center and it's hot back there kind of sucks.. the bathrooms are kept up though they do a good job they clean the garbage now they're sad part for truck drivers if you're coming to get fuel out of about 8 fuel islands almost five of the pumps are down. as I said this is an old Flying J and its really showing its age unfortunately they did get a shop though for big trucks that's something that to do the last couple of years they never used to have. but many of these ones are the original designed ones and they're definitely about 35 years old and they're showing no remodeling down here at a couple other ones to in North Carolina I've noticed also kind of let them go by the wayside.. as for The travelers the parking lot is very big for cars and RVs and the gas pumps are quite attractive for the traveling motorist the employees could use a little more customer service skills especially the day shift on the weekend.. the Friday night when I arrive till they were quite cordial.. this does have the full dinner options making meals which means you can also not just get your classic Hot bar Wings things but you can also get an addition to the fried fatty stuff there is the baked chicken the meatloaf the mashed potatoes and veggies... apparently I didn't come on the greatest day though because my chicken was starting to get dried out the mashed potatoes were almost surely warm not hot the mac and cheese was good I ran to that problem earlier to when I had breakfast I had some of the oatmeal from the soup bar which is the oatmeal and gravy same thing in the mornings with biscuits. but the oatmeal wasn't real hot it was kind of just warm or some reason they need to check their temperatures of their food a little more they're cooked don't get me wrong it's just said it's not hot like it should be..as I said this is one of the original Flying J's when they first started building TravelCenters expanding out of their home base at the time of Brigham City Utah and Ogden Utah by salt Lake City long before they merged with pilot. this one had one of their original sit down restaurants called dad's it is a Denny's now and it's a very good then he's it will get a separate review but it's a very large one like a lot of the Flying J's but this one really needs a lot of work inside... hopefully they'll get on it eventually be on their list for remodeling but then again you have to have better employees that show that they want to work at a place and not just do half a job which is what I ran into today.. I told her the oatmeal is cold she's like oh okay didn't really offer much more than that LOL...I will be posting a few more pictures later but to get stuck here for the weekend it has been cool at least in the evenings about 70° on the hot almost a hundred degrees during the day but it is what it is and it is South Georgia 50 miles south of Atlanta between Atlanta and Macon.. the only problem down here is a lot of the truck stops have fallen by the wayside the pilot across the highway along with the loves or not the greatest and again it lies within the employees what can look at the reviews and see that just like the TA has really fallen into disrepair it's a sad ta now and that's another shame to for some reason this Jackson eggs and I'm not too sure what the deal is what it comes to the truck stops and Travel centers...

Nasty truck stop. It's a lot of truck parking but a lot of reserved spots. Showers were super small.

Half the pumps dont work and the ones that do are very slow. Skip this place & go to Pilot across the street.

The black girl behind the counter must be new because she were talking through an ear piece or something while asking me what I wanted? The customer is your focus and whoever is in your earpiece should have been put on hold. That's just common courtesy when working with the public. Anyway, she asked me what I wanted. I replied and said a 6 inch cold cut on white. This girl grabbed wheat bread like wheat and white sound just alike. Then asked me again what type of sandwich. I said a 6 inch cold cut on white. Why am I repeating myself to someone who's distracted using her earpiece? She needs more customer service training. I mean some things are just plain out ridiculous and if she doesn't know how to deal with the public she needs to find another job. All of this happened between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 6p.m. Calling corporate Monday. By the way check your cameras it will show proof. It will show she pulled out bread i never asked for, etc. Play outside of work not with your customers who aren't playing with you. All of that wasn't called for. Do better.

Every stall is gap-free with sturdy locks, and the entire space is immaculately clean every time we've stopped. The sinks have divider walls for better personal space (love this!), and there's even a kid-friendly sink with a built-in step stool--such a thoughtful touch. Plus, plenty of hand dryers and paper towel dispensers. This has become our routine stop every time we come through. It's just that good.

If you have been up and down 75 then you have seen the promise of 28 clean bathroom stalls, and if…read moreyou stop here not only is that promise fulfilled, but it is exceeded by far as in addition to those clean potties, you will find multiple eateries, more coffee than you need for your roundtrip, souvenirs, clothing, homemade chocolates and candies, locally sourced goods, showers, a dog park and even TV's in those bathrooms (atleast in the Men's - I cannot confirm there is one in the ladies room!). I will say that Marathon is not a big name in the truck stop/travel center game, but after stopping here recently, they are coming in hot! As mentioned above, this place has a lot to offer, a lot more than you expect when you pull in! The gas station itself features the normal snacks, drinks, slushees, candy, etc...that you expect, but they also offer a healthy dose of things you didn't know you needed or wanted like a massive souvenir section that is just as much home decor as it is roadside souvenir. Additionally, they offer a great coffee station that is extra large and has a lot of variety and options! They also have a chocolate counter that sells fresh bars and other sweet treats. In addition to the gas station stuff, there is a Burger King, Subway and Dunkin Donuts on site. I personally stopped and got lunch at the BK and then swung in DD for a to-go iced coffee! As for the exterior of the facility you will find a good amount of pumps, trucker pumps, a dog park and even a cool UGA Bulldog statue...remember though...no touching! Service was solid too. I purchased something from the souvenir register and she was friendly and nice. The cashier at the gas station side of things was also equally as friendly. Overall, this is a great addition to this exit! I do not frequent this area too much or go up and down 75 too often, but on the occasions that I do...I now have a solid stop on my route!
