Before the loop 202 was shoved in and Latham st went across this PFJ wasn't super horrible to get in and out of. Now it's a nightmare to get into or out. Only one way in one way out and between us drivers and cars it bottle necks and you have no way in our out. The outside is just that if a truck stop dirty and not a great curb appeal fuels not bad for the area especially if you have PFJ rewards. Theresa. Dennys at this location however I'd stay clear of that. Rest rooms by Dennys are almost always full if you need to use the restroom go to the drivers side there's another set of restrooms and sinks YES non drivers can use. DO NOT park here if you are a camper or sleeping in your car on a trip they will tow you boot you and ticket. If I could give this places ZERO stars, I would. I have never felt so un-welcomed at a place of business before! I tried to take a photo of their food set up (for yelp of course) and the lady behind the counter told me I wasn't allowed to take a photo. I did not see any signs stating that no photos were allowed. Then a male worker walks over and asks if I needed something and rudely asked why I was taking a picture of their food. He was so rude. I explained to him that my boyfriend wanted to know what they had so I could pick it up for him. He was outside fueling his truck. Poor service, lack of cleanliness inside and out! Unsafe atmosphere, abusive employees, lack of any type of professionalism. Outside has trash everywhere, vagrants with shopping carts, if it missed the trashcan it is still on the ground. Pay for diesel and are asked to pay to park. Security guards will pound on your door during breaks, late at night threatening you with police and being towed, even if you spent over $400.00 in diesel. Flying J at 67th Avenue & I-10 in Phoenix, as a driver I stop here once a week to fuel up the company truck(the company that I work for only uses flying J & Pilot) the only reason I stop here is for fuel and it's close to the terminal on Lower Buckeye Road. This place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 30 years, so yes it's pretty bad, there are bums with stolen shopping carts, strange looking dudes just randomly walking around, it's really a pretty bummy place, I try not to go into the store at all unless I really absolutely have to go, otherwise just fuel up the truck and leave. This is not a good place to stop with the entire family and kids, not a great area of town. read more

Upon returning home from a business trip, my wife and I stopped at the flying Jay's at 6700 W. Lathem St. in Phoenix Arizona to get some snacks and shower or only to be told that we are being denied the opportunity of showering due to suspicious behavior. Upon asking the employee what suspicious behavior we were exhibiting, she refused to answer, and said they have the right to refuse service anyway. Upon speaking to locals in the area, I found out that this area has a high homeless rate, and most businesses in the area discriminate against homeless individuals. I drive a pick up truck with no camper, and will typically bring with me valuable business assets to prevent theft, so I assume her seeing my wife and I with some of my belongings she made the assumption we were homeless and refused us service. the employees discrimination with the homeless community is so overbearing that my wife and I, although successful entrepreneurs, were mistakenly identified as homeless based on the fact that I refuse to leave certain valuable assets in the back of my pick up truck to potentially be stolen. We were in the process of spending well over $80 on snacks, local souvenirs and a shower for the both of us before, being rudely asked to leave because of suspicious activity. I advise management at the area to view surveillance so as to prevent any further discriminate acts from employees to occur again read more

Needed help at self checkout to buy alcohol, walked up to the African American lady at the cashier for help, due to the machine calling for an employee, she pointed and said said firmly to go to self checkout. Came by to do a return and the manager a small bald man. Said to go back to New Mexico and return it there and not to throw this return on him. He was no help and was very rude. I showed him the return policy and he didn't care. The staff and management needs retraining on how to help out customers. Went here to fill my motorhome with propane after filling with fuel. I walked over to make sure I could approach it with my motorhome while towing my truck and noticed the hours sign and that they were available to fill. So I went and disconnected my truck and went to the fill sight and parked to go get an employee to help. I walked up to the counter as I noticed a employee behind the table on his phone and announced myself there by saying " Hey, how's it going? He looked up from his phone and looked back down and continued to ignore me. About 25 seconds later a female came up and asked if she could help. I told her that I would like to get propane and was parked at the fill sight. She had said we don't have anybody to fill until 1. I had said that the sight said it was open and I have already disconnected my truck from my motorhome to do this. She once again said we don't have anybody to help until 1. Meanwhile the employee that was playing on his phone realized what was going on. Flying J I understand good employees are hard to come by but, if your are going to set time for propane filling and post them on signs at least abide by them. If it was an issue where these employees were not trained to do so, train them. It was not a manpower issue as you had an employee playing on his phone when I walked up. If you are playing on your phone and not helping customers while on the clock you don't deserve that job. The end result was I left and got my 40 gallons of propane elsewhere. I will not be purchasing anything from them or any other Flying J again. read more

Grilled chicken, no seasoning; so so. Fruit cup, cantaloupe & bananas & grapes. Good. Tilapia, grilled, lightly seasoned. Very good, nice serving. Wild rice, large serving, good. Be careful with your belongings because even with a police report over a stolen purse that I forgot in the restroom they will not help you and tell you they have one camera that didn't see anything happen. Everyone had a "Every man for himself" attitude including the Security Guard and instead of helping me, one of the tall gentlemen working at Flying j laughed and made jokes at me (there were witnesses to that.) The security guard came in to the bathroom to check the stall I came out of to make sure I hadn't taken anything into the bathroom and the attendant's made fun of my girlfriend for wanting to heat her food up (both microwaves were broken). Can you rate this as a no star establishment? My girlfriend & I went to this restaurant about 11PM knowing the place closed at midnight. We went in and picked out one of the cleaner appearing booths only to find greasy gross crap on the table and the horizontal blinds on the window had a thick coating of dust on the (we could tell because they were down next to the table). A gentleman appearing to possibly be a manager was busy chatting it up with 2 other gentlemen seated at a table. He made no effort to approach, welcome or even provide us with menus to look at. Our waiter was half asleep. He said something about taking some early classes but as a server he was barely marginal at best. Food was served up how ever they felt like slopping it on the plate. My girlfriends nachos were short the guacamole and she said very bland (not spicy) which is weird given our Hispanic heritage in the state of Arizona. You'd think they would have a little twang from a chili or two. The flatiron steak sandwich was okay but very over cooked. Order rare in here if you hope to see something around a medium in the rest of the free world. Gentleman at the register asked how things were and we shared our views. He tried to apologize for being out of guacamole. Made no offer of a discount. My best advise to the truck drivers stopping here for fuel & rest. Try ordering in a pizza! read more
