I just found this page so I though I would leave an honest review. First off, it is VERY difficult to maintain an establishment literally in the middle of nowhere, so it obviously won't be up to standards. It had a pretty scenic view, and the rest rooms worked, however could use a good cleaning. Graffiti all over the stalls. Still, its a pretty interesting place, though I would not recommend drinking their water, due to the fact that it is stored in a massive tank visible above ground and can be contaminated.

LOL. I just happened to be driving a load of belongings for a family member retiring to Nevada and I graciously decided to help drive their stuff to. There were many stops along the way but this was definitely one of the most scenic road stops I've ever been to. It has been a while since that drive but checking some of my in draft reviews, I saw I had this hanging waiting to be finished. I can't believe this stop only has one review which is why I wanted to boost the profile. The bathrooms and facilities are clean and the parking is spacious but the best part is this beautiful canyon side view. Don't miss this narrow walking path to a higher point where you can take super picturesque shots of the canyon. It is behind the Welcome to Utah sign and bring some water for the steep incline. This was unexpected and I ended up spending way longer than usually checking out the grounds. As I recall, looking at my photos, there was a squirrel that followed me around. He was friendly but kept his distance, I wish I had some food for my new friend, I think he just wanted to make sure I saw all the best parts of the Canyon. He was the best tour guide ever. If I ever drive by Utah again, I'm sure I will stop here with some food my my little buddy and to take a breath and enjoy the view.

The rest area is located at MM54 on I-80 and Its out in the middle of the desert, about 55 miles from Wendover, which is the Utah/Nevada State line. Salt Lake City is 36 miles East from here. There's also a Eastbound Rest Area directly across the Interstate lol. There's signs to watch out for snakes and spiders, after all its their home, so be careful! I didnt see none, but maybe thats just good luck... My bottom line; Yes I would use this Rest Area again and even stay over night in my truck.

Only complaint was fan was a bit loud ans sounded like a shopping cart driving down the road at times. There were plenty of other guests but couldn't hear any of them. The door didn't shut on its own, which is a plus if you often forget your key ;) Pool is nice, but the Courtyard is stunning. It's absolutely gorgeous with ponds and water features and sculptures and foliage. Theres a big fire pit good for groups or large families as well. Theres sunset was phenomenal to view from there and the mountains were stunning during golden hour ! Breakfast was simple, but filling. Nothing fancy but plenty of the staples and necessities. Jeremiah's restaurant was in the same parking lot as the hotel and was also pretty great for what it was. Plenty of delicious and local dishes, all family friendly. This place was a pleasant surprise for a best western off the freeway in Ogden. Well done! I will be remembering and recommending this spot in the future !

We will try to stay here again when passing through. It was the best! Leash off pet runs for both large and small dogs. Plenty of other unimproved areas as well as an expertly manicured awesome waterfall, pond and real grass garden behind the joint. The garden area is isolated from a busy train track by a large berm but you can definitely tell the trains go by. There's a couple of gas stations as well as a 7-11 just a block away to top off the tank and get a slurpee before you get back on the road. Breakfast was a typical free menu but I noticed they had a rotating feature each day. The hotel grounds and room were very clean and orderly with plenty of parking just outside of the first floor rooms. The pet friendly room had hardwood flooring so it was nice to walk around barefoot instead of putting on shower shoes just to go to the bathroom. The room was very clean and nicely adorned with necessities. An excellent pet friendly stay. Dicks
