(Unit 605) First off, it's HUGE! We could have probably slept twice as many as we have. It's 3 levels with room, after room after room. All of them are decent size but the 2 master BR suites (1 up, 1 down) are the largest. They are all decently appointed. There are at least 4 TVs although we had problems getting them to work. After reporting an issue someone came out and got the Sitting Room/Kitchen one going and said that was the only one the HOA was responsible for. The rest were to be handled by the owner but over Christmas that was unlikely and was not corrected. Other issues bathroom toilet running and bathroom door that would not lock. Issues but overall a great place.

Our glamping tent was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with some of the nicest beds we've slept in while traveling. The tent included both a heater and a fan, giving us options for any weather, although we didn't need either during our stay. The bedding was so comfortable and warm that we slept great throughout the night. The entire property was spotless, including the shower and bathroom facilities, which were always clean and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities in the bathhouses, including soap, shampoo, lotion, and hair dryers. The restaurant was excellent, with delicious food and a great atmosphere. The smash burger and Brussels sprouts were both outstanding and some of our favorite meals during our stay. We also loved the camp store, especially having fresh coffee available in the morning. One of the fun surprises was receiving a cute s'mores kit at check-in. It was a thoughtful touch and made our evening campfire even more enjoyable. What really made our stay special was the outstanding customer service. Steve went above and beyond--he came by to light our campfire, asked about our trip, and offered helpful recommendations for places to visit after leaving the ranch. We also noticed him providing the same friendly, personal service to other guests, which says a lot about the hospitality at Conestoga Ranch. There were plenty of activities to enjoy on-site, including free ping-pong tables and video games and air hockey available for a small fee. The ranch also offers a great selection of bicycles, and we enjoyed riding the scenic 5-mile trail to the marina and beach. One thing to note is that the campground is not directly on Bear Lake, but it's just a short distance away. We were treated to a gorgeous sunrise over Bear Lake from the ranch, which was the perfect way to start the day. Beautiful accommodations, excellent food, outstanding service, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely stay here again!

There are beds, dressers, fans, a heater, lighting, outlets. It seemed great. Until.... I noticed there were bugs in the bed. On the sheets, under the covers. So many little bugs. Unfortunately, I didn't see how many there really were until the morning. I took a zoomed in photo and discovered that they're a type of LICE! They were in all 3 beds in the tent, plus the carpets and floor. I fully recognize that this is nature, and I expected some bugs... spiders, flies, that kind of thing. But not lice in the beds. As if that weren't enough... When we arrived, we were told to text when we wanted to have the campfire lit (I assumed they wanted to have control over the fires, so that was fine) and that there was a bucket of water to put it out and for safety reasons. Someone did come to light the campfire, but I noticed the water bucket was empty. I told him about it, and he told me, "If you want to go to sleep, just leave the fire burning. It'll be fine." The fire pit was literally 3 feet from a mountainside of tall grass. The wildfires in Utah have been outrageous this summer. It's been terrible and devastating. If you live here, you know. I was not going to just leave a fire burning, throwing embers into the grass. My husband stayed up until midnight to make sure it burned out properly (fire extinguisher nearby just in case). Also... the shower in the bath house was cold, even turned up to completely "hot." I showered at 6:30am, before most of the campground was up, so no chance the hot water was depleted yet. And... We were told that breakfast and coffee would be available at 7:30am. It was not. The place wasn't even supposed to open until 5pm, so I'm not sure why they told us it was available in the morning. We left the campground for coffee and food. When we wanted to check out, we called for a golf cart as we were told to do. It was the hottest week in Utah history. It was seriously so hot. The office texted back that someone was on the way. We waited outside for 15 minutes before just carrying all our stuff through the campground and back to the car ourselves. We just wanted to leave. Passing the main building on the way to the car, 2 people were sitting on a golf cart just playing on their phones. Nobody ever went to the tent. Honestly, I could have accepted ALL of this (except the bed lice... that's a hard no) if one night wasn't $300-400 after fees. For a tent with a bed. Not worth it. I'd rather just camp for real.

She goes above and beyond her duty and she is very understanding and fulfilled our request or troubles. We traveled a lot on vacation for many years. She is the best customer service That we ever had through our travels. Actually, everyone is very nice up here. The office staff treat you like family. I read all the comments on here for Powder Ridge. They are mostly accurate. Scenery is very pretty. This timeshare is very spacious. The condo are somewhat nice. They updated to new TVs and upgrade their Internet. Internet is great now, but they now charge for a resort fee now. I have Verizon phone, and I had great service here. This timeshare really needs some TLC big time. The owner needs to put money back into this place and give the timeshare some loving. This condo has many flaws and needs to be fixed. If you are traveling In summer time, please beware that they have NO air conditioning in the units. It is so hot in room. The staff was nice and was accommodating and gave us an extra fan. Could not sleep good at night, sun doesn't go down till 10 pm and it doesn't get cooler until the sun goes down. We had all the windows open at all times with fans on and the room was over 80 degrees. They only have one ceiling fan in third bedroom that does not help the rest of the condo. The back screen door does not have a Lock, anybody can just walk in from the back stairs. Happen to us twice. The mountain is horrible. You have to climb up 9,000 feet in a short distance. We stayed up here most of the week to avoid going up and down the very steep mountain. Housekeeping is not great. Dust was visible in several areas and one toilet was not even clean. We did an towel / sheet exchange on Tuesday. We did not get all our sheets and towels back. We only got one clean towel back when we turned in 3 towels, wash cloths and hand towels. Overall, if the Owners give this place some TLC & fix several things including adding air conditioners, the place would be a decent place to go for a summer getaway to escape from the real world. Otherwise, don't waste your time especially in the summer. No air conditioner at 9,000 feet evaluation in JULY at 90 degrees is not acceptable. The Place needs to stay a winter destination only and close for summer.

At the late time of day, our only alternative accommodation options were in Ogden, some 40-45 minutes away. I'd recommend avoiding this place.

What I didn't expect was the level of luxury at the Montage. From the dining to the service and attention to detail, Montage felt every bit as polished as the reviews might suggest. It never felt like we had to choose between the outdoors and comfort because there was both to be had. As a family from Chicago, I also wondered what the experience would feel like. I can say that we felt welcomed, relaxed, and free to enjoy the place for what it was. The mountains are the headline, but they're not the whole story. We found incredible hospitality, thoughtful experiences, great food, and a place that invited us to slow down. If Utah has never been on your list because you assumed it wasn't "your thing," it might be worth giving Montage a fair shake. It certainly changed mine.

The following is a condensed copy of the letter we sent to this resort after our stay with the…read morecomment card. While the location of the resort is absolutely stunning, and we very much enjoyed visiting the area, we were time and again disappointed in the resort. The following is the list of problems we had with the resort. First, we were unable to get the Wi-Fi to work. So, naturally, we wanted to call maintenance to see if it could be fixed, but the office hours are from 9-5. Frankly, when you are on vacation, you are out of the room usually during those hours - we went skiing everyday, leaving around 8:30 and back about 5:15 and so were never able to call and ask about it. This was a problem since we had planned on using it to pay some bills and buy Christmas gifts on line. We finally received a call Thursday night from Annette who wanted to see how we were doing. She indicated that the wi-fi didn't really work and anyway, no one would be out to restart the router till tuesday of next week - which did not help us at all. She did however send out the maintenance man to help us with our DVD player. He was very prompt and was there is 10 min. The office hours should be changed to evening hours at least. Another frustration we had is that at such a resort with International visitors, there was no cork screw or wine glasses. We bought a cork screw at the gas station which broke after one use, and the subsequent one we exchanged it for broke before any bottle was opened. Annette on Thursday noted that she probably wouldn't have anything like that, however the maintenance man found us one straightaway. I wish I knew his name because he was the most helpful employee. Not in any of the timeshares around the world have we seen no wine glasses or corkscrew. The quality of the pots and pans was also a disappointment, the large stock pot was missing a handle, which made it difficult and dangerous to handle when hot and the frying pan handle was about to fall off. The rear left burner on the stove did not work - and since we like to make gourmet meals for holidays, these things made it difficult. Additionally, the cabinetry in the kitchen was extremely old and needs refurbishing - there should at the very least be shelf paper in them because the glasses stored upside down had residue on the rims from the dirty shelves. Also, there was only the fork part of the salad serving plasticware. The downstairs toilet had a tendency to clog and finally we were unable to use it at all. The downstairs restroom has a ventilation problem and no towel ever dried completely after hung up there. I should mention that this unit is supposed to house 10 people, however, there is only 1 towel rack in each room. Where are those 10 people supposed to hang their towels? Not to mention the lack of hangers in the hall closet for jackets, there are only 4. Additionally, the wall heater in the bathroom did not work and frankly, during a renovation should be removed as it is quite gross looking as well. The front door had a problem with locking. Once it was locked, it was hard to unlock it from the inside. You had to use the key from the outside and the key we were given did not work the deadbolt. Finally, we visited the hot tub on Thursday night and it was a perfect temperature; so on Christmas Eve (Friday) we decided to leave the slopes early to enjoy the hot tub before it got dark. First let me say that going to the hot tub is no small feat in 8 degree weather - since you have to go outside to get there. However, the door was locked and we were unable to enter. In all of the literature it said that the hot tub is open everyday 10am -10pm. So why was it locked? At this point, we were quite fed up with the resort and of course it was after 5pm, so we called the emergency number which apparently is Annette's cell phone number. She said that she wasn't in charge of the pool and there was nothing she could do. What great customer service! We would not hang up until we got something from her, but before that she said it is Christmas for her too. Finally, she relented and said she would try to call whoever was in charge of the pool. Of course nothing happened and on Christmas Day it was still locked and since there is NOTHING open on Christmas, we couldn't even go in the pool to break up our day. Overall, this resort needs a complete renovation badly.
