Tables were pushed together to accommodate our group. No other customers. Inside decor was pleasant. There was a plastic basket with a few napkins and some unwrapped knives and forks on the tables. Seemed unsanitary. Everything became a process for us as patrons. Coffee cups were tiny and refills were not gotten unless requested. Then wait. Refilling at one end of the group of tables and passing refilled cups down the table was the process. . Had to request coffee creamer. The ordering at either end of the table by 2 waitresses. Food delivery was chaotic. One cook (owner) who made the food - about 2 entrees at a time. Servers came out with plates held up in the air that we had to figure out whose breakfast it was. Dysfunctional. Several were not quite right - meat, egg prep or potatoes vs fruit. Being respectful, ladies waited a bit to eat since not everyone was served. When it was clear food service was not going to make it possible for everyone to eat at the same time, those who had food were encouraged to eat while their food was at least warm. Servers didn't provide or offer syrup, butter and sufficient utensils. At least we were able to visit despite the chaos created by the inept servers. My meal was one of the last served and I'd lost interest. By this time - more than 30 minutes after first ones were delivered - I felt awkward then eating when others were long finished and ready to leave. Owner came out and apologized for service issues bc of hiring/training. Small business enigma. She was more focused on explaining buffet type meals offered on different days and catering ops. Time to go and no checks - individual or otherwise. Had to pay at a counter where the 2 servers stood trying to attribute their order tickets to each of us after we listed our order. Baked goods at the register but servers didn't try to promote. Issues with credit cards so most used cash. Sorry but I can't recommend.

Especially after seeing what she posted the day before, day of, and day after my wedding. I went there 4 months before my wedding to see if Mel could help me with my wedding cake. I was going to do the other desserts myself, but wanted someone to do the cake for me. I was trying to keep it local. She offered to do all of my desserts for a very reasonable price so I accepted. I sent pictures of what I wanted and she agreed she could do it all. There were 4 desserts plus a very small cake. I will try to keep this short. She told me that the macaroons I had requested would be something she was adding to the display case for spring and I could come in and try them once she had them in there. I called twice, messaged several times, and even went in to check and see if they were there when she told me they would be, they never were. I had to threaten to cancel to get some samples two weeks before my wedding. She always had a "reason" why they weren't done. I got the sample, finally, but they were literally just made, so I wasn't able to see exactly how the macaroons would set up. Regrettably, I agreed to stay with her because she was local and I know she was trying to build her business. Day of the wedding she brings everything in and I was luckily not there at the moment. My husband called me and told me to be prepared because I was not going to be happy. Now mind you, I had an outdoor wedding planned that due to weather, we had to change the venue 2 days before, so things were hectic to say the least. I arrived at the venue and was definitely shocked. - Chocolate dipped ice cream cones with fresh fruit were packed and ready but had to be assembled by the family helping me with food. The fruit was not at all what I asked for. You can see in the picture that I sent what I wanted. I got cantaloupe, watermelon, and honey dew with some strawberries. -Cupcake, gummy bear Champagne flutes. Quantity was correct. Cupcakes were not the right color and did not have the right frosting at all! Wrong colors for both. -Macaroons. Right color for the cookie, wrong color centers. The center was supposed to be the same color as the cookie. I ordered 24, two packs. I got 24, one packs. -Fruity pebble crispy treats were actually made correctly with the correct quantity. -The cake. What a disaster. I asked for something so simple. 8" round, as short as possible, internal rainbow layered cake, with naked white frosting. No one was going to eat it, we were just going to cut a piece out of it and then put it away to save. No other decorations because I was going to put fresh flowers on it. The cake was 8" round, but about a foot tall, the inside was rainbow layered, but it was a standard round sheet cake for each layer. The frosting, not naked and not smooth in anyway shape or form. The cake was lopsided and looked like it was going to fall over. She told me she had a family emergency and that's why things were not correct. But I see that the day before, the day of, and day after she was posting all kinds of crap and doing all kinds of other things. There are no pictures on her site of what she did, because it was embarrassing. I don't even have any pictures because I asked my photographer not to take pictures of the table. He even blurred out the cake when we cut it. I included a pic of what I asked for on the cake and a semi blurred picture of what it looked like. (Sorry) To be honest, if it wasn't for the beautiful fresh flowers, that out florist gave me for the cake, hiding the major issues, we would have opted out of the cake cutting all together. She offered to give me some money back, but I was angry at her that I couldn't even deal ok with talking to her. I'm sure this may make some people mad, but I'm just being honest. I made an appointment with them just under a month in advance. I only needed to tell Kristie that we would have four people with no diet restrictions and they made the tea party! They set up in a Belton coffee shop with decorations, china, and our own teapots each. We had the three course meal with sandwiches, scones and smaller desserts (macrons, pound cake, etc). We were missing the fourth person. The food was already made, so we paid for that food. The ladies boxed it up and we took it home! If your party numbers change, let them know as soon as you can. Best leftovers ever! For the event, I didn't have to do anything but show up! They do have a menu, so one could get more specific about what you want for your party. Kristie also gave us a full tutorial on how to properly enjoy our tea. Another party present included over 15 people for an 85th birthday. The decorations for that event were gorgeous.
